Appointment & questions: I sent a yelp-msg to make an appointment & I got an answer immediately. Also the day and time I was looking for was available - so very happy with that. The staff is super nice and helped me out with any question I had. (Never got a professional tan before, so I had a bunch). Thank you! :-) Parking: I recommend taking an Uber or Lyft, because to find a park at Melrose is a little hard. I took a Lyft & that was very comfortable for me. The shop has wifi, so if you are a foreigner like me & stuck without cellular, you are able to get a ride back without searching for a Starbucks. Treatment: I got the tan from Nicole (I hope I remember your name right - I'm so bad with names. :-/ ). She was great! Super nice, asked me what I was looking for, informed me about everything she's gonna do and how I have to treat my tan at home to have the best and long lasting results. Tan: After 8 hours u're allowed to take a shower. I waited 9 to be sure. Because u will still have some spraycolor on your skin it can look a little muddy - this was completely gone after I took a shower. It came out super even & not orange at all! It came out a little lighter than I expected, but it's very pretty. Prices: 1 x Full Body: 60$ 3 x Full Body: 50$ (per Session) 6 x Full Body: 45$ (per Session) Very happy! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a lovely young lady who was super kind and explained to be the process. She brought me to the room, guided me through the steps and gave me more info on all the other plans that they have to offer. Mason is always going the extra mile to give his customers the newest things on the horizon, whether they are UV/Red Light/Spray Tanning related or not. The things he sells in his front area are always way more reasonable than if you got them at a specialty shop further down Melrose Ave, too. Melrose Tanning Co is clean. The bulbs are fresh. They have always had the latest and (most important to me) impeccably clean sunbeds. The newest beds are spectacular and look like they are from a spaceship; some are by Porsche Design, have Bluetooth, advanced air cooling and multi-lamp systems. It seemed so futuristic back then and they still operate all the most cutting edge tanning equipment. Uvasun was always a little more expensive than the other local tanning salons. I see on their website that they now offer to price-match salons within a 5-mile radius on comparable services except spray tans. In addition to state-of-the-art tanning beds and sunless spray tans they also have light therapy, infrared sauna therapy and body contouring with red and infrared light. It's still located in the same nice and modern building on 3rd street. Their hours are Monday to Friday 10am-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm.
