Have eaten there many times with my wife and we both like it very much because we know what to order. My favorite dish is The Godfather - large meatball, chicken parmesan, and sausage on top of pasta. It is delicious and I get at least 2 meals out of it. WOW!!! We were in the Webster area and looked online and found this treasure. The server was delightful. I felt like I was at a friend's house for dinner. The food was the best. We got an antipasto to share. It was served on a large platter and was very fresh and loaded with meat and cheese pinwheels. My husband had fish and chips which also was a huge portion, fresh and not greasy. I had liver, onions and bacon. This dish is risky to order in a restaurant. It is often overcooked and rubbery. Not here. I could cut this liver with my fork. Firm and perfectly seasoned. It came with smashed red potatoes that were mashed perfectly and buttery. There is an option to have gravy. Definitely didn't need it. In addition both meals came with an option of soup or salad. We choose a minestrone for me and my husband had loaded potato soup. As if that wasn't enough I found out they had grapenut pudding which we shared. All of this less than$40.00. I'm a basic girl, I don't ask for much. I don't need to be blown away by flavor, I'm the type of person to give Applebee's a five star. This place is unable to meet even the smallest of expectations. The food was bland, and practically inedible. I felt like I was ingesting plastic. My boyfriend and I both had pasta dishes, and were both unable to finish them. While the other servers seemed nice, ours was a bitter older woman who when I said "can I not have any sides, just the dish itself?" replied "no". Waited maybe 5 minutes than the Server came over to the table to take drink and food order, left table never took our menus, waited 10 minutes for our beverages, iced tea finally arrived to the table & it tasted awful went to add sugar and all the sugar packets on the table were hard as if they got wet from water . We went to Golden last night and got take out. I'm so glad we did! What a pleasant surprise. We ordered a cheese pizza, it was so loaded with cheese you'd think it was extra. We also ordered the broasted chicken and it was delicious. The prices are very decent for such quality food. I'd definately recommend Golden Greek and we will return for sure. Excellent!! I love the Harvest Chicken Salad! They give you a choice of cold or hot chicken, and you can have the dressing on the side. The portion is huge! I always get 2 very satisfying lunches out of it. On Wednesday this week, 2 of my co-workers & I called ahead for pick-up orders of the Broasted Chicken & sides to pick up for dinners after work. When I arrived almost every table was occupied, a couple other people were waiting to pick up orders, and they were taking orders over the phone too...they were busy. I told the waitress that I had a 40 minute drive home and I didn't want to over cook or dry out the chicken by reheating it when I got home. She gave my order to the cook to wrap everything in foil so it was just the right temp when I got home. Even when they are busy, the staff has always been very pleasant & helpful. I thought that extra effort deserved a Yelp Shoutout! I asked my co-workers the next morning what they & their families thought of the Broasted Chicken...everyone loved it, so did I & my fiancé. read more
