We went back a second time, my husband ordered baked fish and it was overcooked and dry. I ordered a Caesar salad and it was wilted and just horrible. The place was so loud and every time someone walked by our whole table shook. This place is pretty mediocre at best.

The food was great, I got the tenderloin steak tips. The mashed potatoes were delicious and veryl smooth. The sweet corn was tasty. The server could of been a little more attentive, but had a good attitude. Overall a good experience...

Once again, another stellar meal. Today Lindsay was our server and was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. She anticipated our needs before we could even ask, had perfect timing and was super sweet to my rambunctious little, crazy 6 year old. I could have learned a lot from her in my server days! I would have been in the weeds so fast with how many tables I saw her checking on! My husband had the chicken and waffles, I had the upside down chicken pot pie and my 6 year old had the Tater Keg appetizer as her meal. We also started off with wings and Buffalo Chicken Dip. I'm so glad this place is literally down the street and offers the same quality as any Boston or Worcester comfort-food restaurant...but with a local, family friendly price tag. I, legit, am going to turn into a chicken wing if I keep going there. I can't get enough of the maple wings! I never would have thought I'd like such an "odd" flavor. We had those and the garlic parm...best I've ever had (and I'm not even a fan of garlic Parmesan wings!) My hubby has now had chicken and waffles twice and was equally impressed both times. Service was on point. Food was phenomenal, as usual. Saloon 6 was CLEAN, busy, fast, and the epitome of "mom's cooking".... If Paula Deen was my mom, lol. It's a must stop. Or you can just keep driving and let us locals enjoy so we don't have to wait for a table...

Came here on my way home from Logan Airport to grab a bite and a drink. I wanted somewhere right off the highway and didn't have super high expectations and was pleasantly surprised! The food and drinks and service were all phenomenal. Right when I walked in, I could tell it was definitely a local hang out. Sometimes these spots can be hit or miss - if you aren't a regular you may get not so nice treatment, however, both bartenders were extremely nice and attentive. For food, I saw they had prime rib so that is what I ordered. It was delicious - cooked perfectly. The side Caesar salad and the spicy cheese curds I ordered for sides were also great. This is definitely going to become a regular spot for me whenever I am on my way home from Mass or Maine. There's so many other items I can't wait to try!

The server was awesome because I have to be gluten free. But I do wish there were more gluten free options.

Great food & service! Portions are huge. Bar area gets a bit overwhelming but manageable if you're far enough away.

On this cool spring visit, we sat inside at a corner table with a nice view of the lake. We ordered: Happy Hour Chicken Tacos ($8) Happy Hour Fish Tacos ($8) Fish & Chips Dinner ($21) Merlot ($9) Cabernet ($11) The tacos are normally $16 for three on the dinner menu, so getting four for that price during Happy Hour is a good deal. Results were mixed. Starting with the positive: the Fish Tacos were excellent. The haddock was perfectly cooked--crispy and flavorful--served in grilled flour tortillas with shredded iceberg lettuce, creamy slaw, pico de gallo, and chipotle lime aioli. Really well done! The Chicken Tacos, on the other hand, were disappointing. The chipotle-braised chicken, along with the toppings, made them feel dense and soggy. Not something I would order again. The Fish & Chips was the biggest letdown. The fried haddock was thin and dry, and the fries were limp and not hot enough. The coleslaw was very good, though. Honestly, if they used the same haddock from the fish tacos here, it would be a big upgrade. Service was good overall, though the dinners took a while to arrive. Bottom line: 3 stars. Still the best restaurant option on the lake, but there's plenty of room for improvement.

The pickles were standard and the sauce was a bit sweet but ok. The wings were good but they charge for sauce which is disappointing but at least they were tasty. That's where the good review ends. Next up broccoli cheese soup. It was thin and curdled. Completely flavorless. Please don't bother I got a black and blue burger. It had dried apples and gorganzola. I asked for mid-well and this thing came out a black hockey puck. Totally in edible. The apple is breaded and fried and then a blue cheese sauce is on top which makes it completely soggy. Terrible. Husband got Cajun shrimp which was in a weird tomato sauce. The okra was so bad he spat it out. It could not even be chewed. Everything needed salt. Pass Diner 3 ordered a chicken sandwich with Nashville hot sauce. It tasted so bad he couldn't eat it. It also had cheese that was burnt under the grill. The fries were terrible. Maybe the grease needed to be changed? No thanks Diner 4 got the mushroom Swiss burger. The photo attached was his bun. He ordered it medium rare it was medium at best and was both dry and dripping with grease which is quite the feat. He choked down half but couldn't go on. Moving along The service was good but she definitely needed help. She was handling the bar and dining room herself so some things took a little time but she was kind and attentive. Having worked in restaurants my whole life I would have to say this place has potential but the cook defiantly needs some training on seasoning and attentiveness. The menu needs to be streamlined too. I would not go back and wouldn't tell anyone I knew to go. We've been home a couple hours and 3 out of 4 of us have stomachaches. There are better places.

It feels like something from a vintage movie. If only they would turn the heat on ... they keep it super cold inside in the winter, so much so that we had to wear our jackets while we ate and deal with runny noses. How much could heat cost? The food here is very average. You won't hate your meal, but you also probably won't love it. The fried rice is bland and you can certainly tell it isn't made fresh as all the ingredients seem to be old and reheated several times. The lunch specials are pretty complicated to order ... you pick your special, then you pick a side from a list and then you pick one other side. Customization is cool ... but it gets confusing. The staff here is very aloof. They are never there when you need them ... they have all the personality of a block of ice ... and seem mildly annoyed if you ask for anything. (extra hot mustard ... a refill on water ... substitutions in your order, etc.) I understand that there is a pretty significant language barrier with most, but it comes across more as rudeness and apathy than a language understanding issue. The best dish I've ever had here was the shrimp in house sauce. Everything else is on par with most Chinese restaurants post-pandemic ... the quality and portion size is down, while the prices are up. It's not bad snack food ... or lunch food ... but I am not sure if I could eat here as a full meal and leave feeling satisfied. In the area, there are not too many choices for Chinese food. There is Yummi in Dudley, which is as bad at is gets lately. There is Empire Wok in Dudley, which is about as clean as a men's room at a Patriots game. And Kahlua in Southbridge which is a bit hood. Overall, this is the spot I'd choose if I was in the Dudley/Southbridge area and looking to grab Chinese food. Shrinkflation is real here.
