My wife and I have been coming to this bakery for the last two weeks. The first time we tasted it we loved it. I went back for confirmation. The breakfast sandwich is to die for grape sandwich. The baked goods are awesome as well. There's no Mrs. in there everything works if you know what you're getting and if you don't, they'll make some very good suggestions. As for the Location because I have accessible concerns. I have to keep in mind. There is no public restroom there but other than that it's a great little location to sit down and have some coffee have lunch or breakfast. You can sit right out in the front and catch the breeze. read more

This place is an incredible find in Hemet. We live in Northern California but come to SoCal to visit family often. We discovered HSB because of their GF offerings. I went in the day before Christmas to pick up some gluten free muffins for my girlfriend, but they were out. I picked up some other gf desserts but the muffins are what she likes the most. I asked if they were going to be open the day after Christmas and I would come back. Turns out the owner is planning to take a very well deserved week off, so no luck. But then she aske me for my number and told me that while she makes no promises, she will call me if she happens to make some. Within two hours I got a phone call. Six GF muffins with my name on it! I ran out and we were able to enjoy them while they were still warm. Sooooo good. Not only are the baked goods fantastic, but service like that? Deserves as many stars as are in the sky. We were on our way to Oceanside from Palm Springs and looking for a local place that would offer birthday cakes for my husband's twin siblings. We picked one up, a white cake with raspberry filling and then a miniature chocolate cake along with a couple of carrot cake cupcakes for the birthday. My husband and I got a couple of pastries to try as well on the drive South. The people in the bakery were so kind and helpful. The atmosphere was wonderful. I must say that I don't think I've had a better bear claw pastry and my husband had the sticky bun pastry and both were heavenly. When celebrating the birthdays, everyone thought the cakes were terrific and I must say that the white cake was heavenly as well. Stopped by here for lunch today. I normally order to go but I had the time to sit down and eat. The decor is nice and it wasn't too busy. My food came out quicker than expected which is always nice. The meatball sub and the downtowner are definitely the best thing on the menu, I would recommend requesting the meatballs in the meatball sub be cut in half to make it easier to eat. Had custom orders of lavender scones and lavender shortbread cookies done. All amazing. Ordered a full size German Chocolate Cake and a Victorian Buttercream. Just superb. Ordered for holidays a Yule log and Christmas decorated shortbread cookies. Mouthwatering. Today had an Ortega sandwich. What a delight. Paired the sandwich with Sugar-Free Chocolate cake. I had the most amazing SF Coconut Cake on Princess Cruises. As a diabetic this past year up till now that coconut cake on Princess was the best, until today. That SF Chocolate cake was the best thing ever. It was so moist, so flavorful. No bitter after taste from sweetener. I took a business card and will be in next week for another sugar free treat. My MIL really loves Harvard St Bakery treats and since it was her birthday we had driven up from San Diego and of course we had to get her a couple of birthday treats. She really loves their chocolate covered cheesecake slice so we had to get her a slice and one for my husband too, then we 2 chocolate chip cookies, 2 chocolate chip with nuts cookies, a cheese danish, 3 raspberry jelly donuts, a red velvet cupcake and a 4 pistachio French macarons. The treats here are really affordable, I think we everything our total was $25, here in San Diego they would be twice as much if not more. My raspberry cheese danish was nice, the pasty was flaky and the glaze was perfectly sweetened, I really liked the cookies, they were nice and crispy and i liked the red velvet cupcake too. My husbands fave were the filled donuts and his chocolate covered slice cheesecake, just like his mom. Next time we're visiting we'll have to come by again. My wife and I made our annual trip to Hemet for our grandchild's field day against other church schools. We were set that we weren't going to Subway or a similar chain sandwich shop. I YELPED the area and this delightful bakery showed up. Quaintly decorated with old photos, trinkets and local artists. We ordered both breakfast sweets and coffee as well as sandwiches for lunch. The breakfast sweets didn't disappoint. Apple and cheese danish were irresistible. So many items to choose from, gluttony almost made me hangry. I was concerned the sandwiches might suffer in the car until lunch but it wasn't a problem. Roast beef, ortega sandwich with a scoop of potato salad, turkey and provolone on fresh baked croissant. Best bakery in town. Beautiful and delicious pastries, quiches, cupcakes (especially the carrot cake ones!), and more. The owner is a lovely woman who has created an inviting space for customers to enjoy her wonderful food. The staff has always been helpful and friendly, too. I love to take my grandkids here for a treat or to meet a friend here for an enjoyable outing. Seating is available inside, which is nicely decorated with a sidewalk cafe scene. OMG! Ms. Laura is AMAZING!!! She was able to make my sons cake within 2 weeks and kept me informed when she had any questions. Upon recieving the cake I was given instructions to care for it. Which I am sooo glad I recieved. And I had my hands full so I was internally freaking out on how I was going to get the cake to my car. But she had somebody to help me. This has to be the best bakery I've been to in my entire life. The prices are cheap, the product is stellar, and the customer service is magnificent. The only downside to this place is that I didn't know it existed until a few months ago. I have recommended this amazing bakery/cafe to dozens of people and now I hope for dozens more to be encouraged to go with this review. I've been to this location many times now and have ordered many different treats and even had an exquisite birthday cake made here. While much of their selections are to die for, nothing blew me away more than their lunch options. I ordered broccoli and cheddar soup and a sub sandwich with potato salad on the side. While the service was yet again spectacular, the food blew all competition out of the water. My favorite eating places such as Panera and Subway have become insignificant compared to this amazing hole in the wall business. This place definitely has a place in my heart and I will continue to faithfully visit whenever I can. read more

I couldn't have been happier working with Harvard Street Bakery in every way. They met several times with me to ensure everything was planned just right. They delivered all items right on time. The cake and dessert bar were stunning AND all were taste sensations. Only REAL ingredients were used and that was evident with every bite. I'm warning you now, you'll become a fiend for their pastries and sweets! I know I have. I ALWAYS get a few macaroons, the apricot tart and the cinnamon nut twist. Always so good and so fresh. Get there early as they only make so much in one day and things sell out quick. I assure you that you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to try their sandwiches one day. And that slice of cheesecake dipped in chocolate is next on my list to try. The crew has always been friendly and informative. I'm so happy I came here to get my gender reveal cake done! Laura was able to fulfill my order in only 1 day's time and did it beautifully with a delicious cake. I didn't have anything particular in mind, and just wanted something simple but wanted the inside of the cake to be color specific which was not was a problem! She checked in over the phone with a couple of questions to ask exactly what I wanted, which I appreciated. Even when I wanted to change the size of my cake the day I was supposed to pick it up, she was able to fulfill my request! We found this bakery/cafe tucked away on Harvard Street in Hemet. We are so glad we did. The bakery is owned and run by a wonderful lady who has spent a lifetime learning her craft from European bakers. She has a lovely variety of exquisite baked goods (made in house from scratch) from macarons to mille-feuille, cream puffs, cakes, chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick, and yummy cookies. There are gourmet breads for sale as well. We have also come for an amazing breakfast croissant with eggs, ham (she smokes her meat on site) spinach and cheese. Her tomato basil soup was the best I've tasted (and we are foodies!). Stop in for a coffee and baked goods and feel like you've really treated yourself! Very reasonably priced! read more

Very small unassuming spot with a small menu of terrific food. My wife had a spinach and bacon quiche which she loved. She judged it better than the quiche from a well known Redlands favorite. I had a chicken salad sandwich on a fresh French roll. It was excellent. Not the gummy style loaded with mayonnaise. You'd expect the roll to be great and it was. We shared a wonderful bread pudding. Fabulous texture and taste. As with any bread pudding, get the sauce on the side so you don't overload the taste of the main attraction. They have six tables outside plus three outside. Harvard Bakery is an absolute gem! Everything I've tried here has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The pain au chocolat is perfectly flaky with just the right amount of chocolate, and the palmiers are crisp, buttery perfection. I also love their Danish and cinnamon rolls -- both are sweet, soft, and satisfying. So the day before my daughters 18th birthday I had a last minute request for a cake. I told Laurie what I wanted and went to show pics. And she did her thing! The cake is beautiful, and delicious. Absolutely delectable!!! Favorite bakery in town, FRESHLY made baked goods. Tried a raspberry macaroon and LOVED it. The baker Laura said she usually bakes her own but when she can't she'll put out ones she orders from France. She was extremely friendly and informative. Walked over from the Library to find this gem. Laura was helping other customers, while greeting new customers as we came in. The display case was filled with so many pretty pastries but I was able to choose a coconut macaron and a fruit tart and they were delicious! Great flavor and texture.
