The curry chicken and brown stew chicken are excellent. The oxtail is pricey (understandably) but it's good- it tastes like a better, tangier barbecue. Get extra sauce on your curry chicken and brown stew chicken so that it soaks into the rice and peas. So good! Perfect place to stop for lunch! They have a large variety of patties but I haven't tried any yet.

Ordered curry goat. The rice and veggies were undercooked. In the 2nd photo you can see how much food I had to throw away. The best part of the meal was the soda. Please stay away from this place.

    Jerk Chicken

I went to the restaurant and ordered curried goat, jerk chicken and two mild patties. The food was amazing, the service was great, and I recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants good Jamaican food! Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Just paid $20 for a large oxtail and ended up with a large rice. You guys can do better!

BUT something told me to try it again! Something told me it would be different. So I went on a Saturday afternoon and let me tell you ALL THE FOOD was sooooo delicious. It was so delicious I didn't even have time to take a picture of all my food. And that says a lot because my camera always eats first. When I walked in I was greeted by a sweet lady who was prompt to take my order. I ordered patties, Rasta pasta, jerk chicken, and festival. The rice & peas fluffy and great! The jerk chicken was probably one of the BEST I have ever had seasoned to perfection the chicken was falling off the bone. I loved how they put a jerk sauce on the side to drizzle on the chicken. The cabbage and plantains were good as well. This Rasta pasta chicken was from another universe. This pasta was AMAZING!!! They had 2 heat levels and I got the spiciest one. If you LOVE spicy get the spiciest it will have you in heaven. The festival was also great as well it was fluffy and a bit of a sweetness! I truly loved everything we had!! I did do take out but the inside of the restaurant was clean and bright. I can't wait to go back!!!! I'm definitely going to become a regular. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU LOVE FLAVOR!

As I entered, Justin, "the boss man" greeted me, and I mentioned to him that I had just called in an order, for just 3 roti. Justin was super friendly, and cracked some Guyanese / Trini jokes with me, asked me what curry I'm having the roti with, "chicken curry, or curry chicken", well being Guyanese, it's chicken curry of course. The roti was made to order, so they were steamy hot, and smelled just as they should. I also picked up 2 different pepper sauces and a couple bags of Guyanese chow mine, everything was about $40, not a bad deal. This place is a little out of way, but honestly with fair prices, clean environment and a friendly owner, it's worth driving the distance for quality items that are fresh also. I'll definitely mark this down as a go too for quick Guyanese/ Trini dishes.

Every now…read moreand then I would have a craving for some roti or curry potato, but at the same time I am not willing to drive so far for it. Located in the Coral Springs Plaza, Priya's Roti Shop has the look and feel of a true West Indian shop serving homemade Trinidadian foods such as various curry or stew meats, cook to order roti (paratha or dhalpourie), phoulourie, bake & shark, doubles, and so much more. There's also homemade sweets & beverages, as well as various bottles of hot pepper sauce, spices, split channa, kuchela, and other Caribbean beverages. I was greeted by a gentleman with a nice Trinidadian accent. I kindly asked for a menu while he tended to the other customers. The prices range from low to moderate. Lord I wish I could get a bit of everything off the menu, but I will just stick to what I mainly wanted - roti. When the gentleman was ready to take my order, I told him I wanted boneless curry chicken which was served with my choice of dhalpourie roti and curry potato. I also ordered six doubles and a bottle of mauby. There was a bit of a wait cause the roti had to be made, which I didn't mind at all. Then he made the doubles. I watched him as he laid down two bara (flatbread) then scooped some curried channa (chick peas) on each, topping them with tamarind and cucumber chutney. Once the food was ready, I took everything to an available table and your girl was in foodie heaven. I started with one of the doubles which was absolutely delicious! The flavors of the curried channa and both chutneys complemented each other nicely, and the barra had a yummy texture...moving on...the curry chicken and potato was also delicious and flavorful with a mild pepper kick. At times I broke pieces of the roti to pick up some chicken and/or potato like a true islander. The atmosphere was truly relaxing with Indian music softly playing in the background. I was casually drinking the mauby which was lightly sweet and refreshing. I am definitely looking forward on coming back to try other foods, especially the bake & shark.

At one point Yelp even had them listed as closed but now I see that they are listed as being open again. I ended up visiting Valecias for a friends Saturday night birthday party. I walked in at 9 PM and it was pretty much dead. There were a few patrons at the bar and it was very quiet. Our party had a small raised area with couches above the dance floor which provided comfortable seating. Later on in the evening there was a DJ and things were a little more lively but not by much. I checked out the menu and it seemed very expensive so I stuck to the party wings and fries. Some of the guests got drinks at the bar. The party was still going strong when I left at 1 AM. I honestly didn't know there was any place in Margate that was open past 11. I am not sure how long they can stay in business with so few people but for now they are definitely open at night and there are a few people who come in to sit at the bar in addition to whatever parties they are hosting.

Maybe stiff competition with the Dunkin' coffee next door but I will take mom & pop cuban coffee over commercial places anyday. The inside was large with music playing. Sat at the bar and met with Yairi the barista who was friendly. Some of the specials were posted on the windows that included 2 for 1 shreaded pork platter on mondays, pork sandwiches 2 for 1 tuesdays and corona $3 everyday all day. The chrome espresso machine was calling my name. The Bustello coffee was strong as usual with a roasty aroma. Maybe a business logo on the styrofoam cup would add some cheap advertisement. The ADA compliant clean bathroom was modern rustic and peach colored walls popped against the porcelain wood-like floors. The room offered a sense of warmth and relaxation. There was a poster hanging on the wall with a QR scan to entice customers to join Cuban Reward to get 3 Points for every $1 spent in the restaurant.

The ambiance is that of a fast casual restaurant with and order counter and tables lining the outer perimeter of the restaurant. There are TVs playing as well. The service wasn't particularly friendly, the two ladies up front seemed more interested in chatting than helping me with the menu. The lunch special came with a soda but they do not offer diet soda and they will not substitute bottled water. I walked in for pickup, and the two lunches probably took 15-20 minutes to be prepared. My husband got the griot, which was flavorful but dry. I got the stewed chicken which was slightly overcooked and underseasoned. I did enjoy the fried smashed plantains, but the rice and beans tasted weirdly ashy? We barely touched those. The pikliz was only ok. Overall, I would not return as I was disappointed.
