WOW! WOW! WOW! Let's start off by saying when this place first opened a few years ago I went in for…read morea lunch special and I don't remember it being rememberable so I never went back. BUT something told me to try it again! Something told me it would be different. So I went on a Saturday afternoon and let me tell you ALL THE FOOD was sooooo delicious. It was so delicious I didn't even have time to take a picture of all my food. And that says a lot because my camera always eats first. When I walked in I was greeted by a sweet lady who was prompt to take my order. I ordered patties, Rasta pasta, jerk chicken, and festival. The rice & peas fluffy and great! The jerk chicken was probably one of the BEST I have ever had seasoned to perfection the chicken was falling off the bone. I loved how they put a jerk sauce on the side to drizzle on the chicken. The cabbage and plantains were good as well. This Rasta pasta chicken was from another universe. This pasta was AMAZING!!! They had 2 heat levels and I got the spiciest one. If you LOVE spicy get the spiciest it will have you in heaven. The festival was also great as well it was fluffy and a bit of a sweetness! I truly loved everything we had!! I did do take out but the inside of the restaurant was clean and bright. I can't wait to go back!!!! I'm definitely going to become a regular. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU LOVE FLAVOR!

There always a few people in the line when I get there but there are 3 registers with 3 employees getting the customers orders AND getting the food in a timely manner. I…read moreshould have turned and walked out after seeing the interaction between the cashier (Kaya) and an elderly woman in front of me who requested steamed vegetables instead of salad. Talk about nickel & diming... basically forcing the lady to pay $2 plus and then when the server dished out her veggies, told the server 'that's too much vegetables, put some back!' Never in my life would I accept such attitude. I go up to order and boric the lunch specials went up to $8.99 with a drink... Kaya bagged up everything and handed me. No drink cup... when I asked for the cup she very rudely told me the machine is broken and they're not giving out drinks! Any business that wants to stay in business would realize when something is out, FIND A REPLACEMENT TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY!!!! There was a fully stocked refrigerator with canned drinks, why not offer those I asked Kaya... the response was that the offer is only for fountain drinks. Absolutely repulsive attitude & by the looks of the establishment, I am not the only one who won't be returning back! Your owner should be ashamed to have such representation of their business and if it continues I would be glad to see this location closed.

It was my first time coming here, and far from disappointed…read more From the outside the place looked really well kept, and clean. As I entered, Justin, "the boss man" greeted me, and I mentioned to him that I had just called in an order, for just 3 roti. Justin was super friendly, and cracked some Guyanese / Trini jokes with me, asked me what curry I'm having the roti with, "chicken curry, or curry chicken", well being Guyanese, it's chicken curry of course. The roti was made to order, so they were steamy hot, and smelled just as they should. I also picked up 2 different pepper sauces and a couple bags of Guyanese chow mine, everything was about $40, not a bad deal. This place is a little out of way, but honestly with fair prices, clean environment and a friendly owner, it's worth driving the distance for quality items that are fresh also. I'll definitely mark this down as a go too for quick Guyanese/ Trini dishes.

Every now…read moreand then I would have a craving for some roti or curry potato, but at the same time I am not willing to drive so far for it. Located in the Coral Springs Plaza, Priya's Roti Shop has the look and feel of a true West Indian shop serving homemade Trinidadian foods such as various curry or stew meats, cook to order roti (paratha or dhalpourie), phoulourie, bake & shark, doubles, and so much more. There's also homemade sweets & beverages, as well as various bottles of hot pepper sauce, spices, split channa, kuchela, and other Caribbean beverages. I was greeted by a gentleman with a nice Trinidadian accent. I kindly asked for a menu while he tended to the other customers. The prices range from low to moderate. Lord I wish I could get a bit of everything off the menu, but I will just stick to what I mainly wanted - roti. When the gentleman was ready to take my order, I told him I wanted boneless curry chicken which was served with my choice of dhalpourie roti and curry potato. I also ordered six doubles and a bottle of mauby. There was a bit of a wait cause the roti had to be made, which I didn't mind at all. Then he made the doubles. I watched him as he laid down two bara (flatbread) then scooped some curried channa (chick peas) on each, topping them with tamarind and cucumber chutney. Once the food was ready, I took everything to an available table and your girl was in foodie heaven. I started with one of the doubles which was absolutely delicious! The flavors of the curried channa and both chutneys complemented each other nicely, and the barra had a yummy texture...moving on...the curry chicken and potato was also delicious and flavorful with a mild pepper kick. At times I broke pieces of the roti to pick up some chicken and/or potato like a true islander. The atmosphere was truly relaxing with Indian music softly playing in the background. I was casually drinking the mauby which was lightly sweet and refreshing. I am definitely looking forward on coming back to try other foods, especially the bake & shark.

The ambiance is that of a fast casual restaurant with and order counter and tables lining the outer perimeter of the restaurant. There are TVs playing as well. The service wasn't particularly friendly, the two ladies up front seemed more interested in chatting than helping me with the menu. The lunch special came with a soda but they do not offer diet soda and they will not substitute bottled water. I walked in for pickup, and the two lunches probably took 15-20 minutes to be prepared. My husband got the griot, which was flavorful but dry. I got the stewed chicken which was slightly overcooked and underseasoned. I did enjoy the fried smashed plantains, but the rice and beans tasted weirdly ashy? We barely touched those. The pikliz was only ok. Overall, I would not return as I was disappointed.
