Has done a great job with start-up and irrigation winterization over the past few years.

Awful service. Quotes one price but adds on after the job has started. Is not dependable. Comes in late in the day and works after dark.

Zach met with me and spoke by phone several times to review some specific concerns prior to installation to accommodate future plans for the yard. The office staff was accessible and responsive regarding scheduling. The work was completed in a day. Despite the warm weather, the high quality grass seed they use where the lines were installed is growing back well already and the system has worked well as designed. Zach has been responsive to several follow up calls I have had regarding operation of the system and I am learning how to work the watering schedule in the phone app which is extremely convenient. The pricing for the system we installed was reasonable and competitive! Highly recommend.

They were told not to install any heads in the right of way. They did and then they removed it. The overall sales person (RICK HARRISON) who I directly designed my system with, did not communicate to the installation team the type of sprinklers I wanted and where to install the back flow valve. They also had to install a pressure pump, due to low pressure for $1400.00. I specifically told Rick where it needed to be in relation to the electric outlet . I had the outlet installed exactly where Rick said it had to be. I then spent $200.00 to have an electrical outlet installed. When I checked their work after they left. I found an orange extension cord lying on the ground, in a pool of water ,connected to my $200.00 outlet, they installed the pump to far away from the outlet. I again had to pay another $200.00 to move the outlet so the pump can connect directly to the outlet. Then the pump cracked and stop working, the back check valve cracked and had to be replaced. this is after I had them winterize my system. It has been nightmare of a project. Everytime they came out, something was wrong. I finally had to ban them from my property. it is now several years later and the system is worse than ever. I have spent a lot of money in repairs. I basically will have rebuilt the system by the end of this year. Do not use this company. Beware of Rick because he is smooth but does not follow through.Get everything in writing, get a design of your sprinkler System before they install (they want a $150.00 to do so)

For those who want to be present when someone is working on your property, look elsewhere. When I first called about using their services they promised they would call first. Three times they have not (after reminding them that this is why I started with them in the first place). The actual people that came out were polite enough, no issues there, but they don't even knock on your door to let you know they are there. If had not looked out to see their truck, I would never know. Regarding actual work: For winterization, they remove the entire backflow and ask you to store it over the winter. I never had anyone else ever do it that way before. Don't know if it is better or worse doing it that way. For spring turn on, they email telling you they plan to start soon and to leave your backflow out in the bushes or by your garage, giving you the impression that they will probably be out that week (that is when I emailed back and reminded them that I would like to get a days head up when they are coming). Three weeks later they finally come around (with no notice, LOL) and I am not home. When I realize they did it when I was away and did not even tell me, I look it over and find that it is leaking, not badly just drips, but still leaking. Perhaps, if I were here when they were doing it, this would have been caught and taken care of while the service person was there. The backflow did not leak before they removed it for winterization. Now it does. Our home is only a few years old. Did something happen at start-up? Or when it sat outside for three weeks waiting for the service call? Don't know. Called to report the leaking. Owner said to text a picture and my address and he would send someone out. Two weeks later, sent a reminder text. Crickets! Today, a service person comes. I only realized he was here because I looked out the window and saw his truck parked in front of the house. When I went out, he had removed entire backflow again and said he was going to take a look to see what was wrong. I asked if he could knock on the door to let me know what was going on and not just fix it and leave. I walked outside to check on progress and he was on the phone with his boss. I asked what the issue was while his boss is on speaker and was told that the washers were worn out. I was a bit perplexed and asked to see this. When, the service guy took it apart again to show me the washers in question, I was a bit skeptical. I was told by the boss that it needed a backflow repair kit and would cost somewhere around $140. At this point, I say that I'm not really happy but to go ahead with the repairs I want to make sure it is not leaking before the service person leaves and also brought up with the boss that I was dissatisfied with the fact that they never call ahead and that is what I specifically asked for when I started to work with them and that I might be looking for another service provider. He said his company was too busy to call people. I said that it only takes 30 seconds. He said they just can't do that and then said to the service person "See this is the type of customer I was telling you about" I said "Wow, very professional!" The boss tells the service person to stop and do not do the repairs and won't be working with me and to go on to the next stop. The poor service guy was standing there holding his phone while this back and forth took place and was probably mortified. Sorry about the long rant.

My experience with B&E Irrigation & Landscaping was an astonishing display of poor communication,…read moreindifference, and unprofessionalism. I initially contacted the company's residential installation representative on April 29 regarding a drainage problem at my Brentwood home. I left a voicemail and sent a text message containing photographs of the area. After receiving no response, I called again on May 12 and left another voicemail. Still nothing. On May 13, I submitted a detailed inquiry through B&E's website. The office responded the following morning and referred me directly back to the same representative who had already failed to respond to my previous calls and text message. Nevertheless, I called him again on May 14 and left a third voicemail. Once again, there was no response whatsoever. On May 26, I emailed the office and carefully explained the entire history. I made it clear that I would completely understand if the project was too small, if the company was too busy, or if the work was not a good fit. All I requested was the basic professional courtesy of an answer so I could stop waiting and contact another company. The office replied that afternoon and stated that they were checking into the matter and "should have an answer tomorrow." Tomorrow came and went. So did the remainder of May and nearly the entire month of June. After receiving absolutely no update, I sent one final email on June 30. Only then did I receive a response stating that the installation team was "extremely busy," that they "probably" did not have time to perform the work, and that this "may be why" I had never heard from them. That was not an explanation. It was speculation about why other employees had repeatedly failed to perform the most elementary part of their jobs: communicating with a prospective customer. Being busy is understandable. Failing to respond to three telephone messages, a text containing photographs, an online inquiry, and multiple emails is not. Promising an answer the following day and then disappearing for more than a month is even worse. It would have taken less than one minute to write, "We are unable to take on your project." Instead, B&E allowed me to wait for more than two months before finally offering a vague excuse. After this experience, I reviewed the company's Yelp and other public reviews. What I found was disturbingly familiar: other customers reporting poor communication, unanswered messages, no-shows, and a lack of follow-through. Apparently, my experience was not an isolated incident. B&E advertises itself as Nashville's "most trusted" irrigation and landscaping specialist. Based upon my documented experience, trust and basic customer service were precisely what were missing. The most revealing part of the company's final response was the admission that it was unfair for me to receive no response. On that point, we agree completely. I would not recommend B&E Irrigation & Landscaping. If this is how the company treats a homeowner before receiving any money, I would have absolutely no confidence in its communication after a contract was signed, payment was made, or a problem developed.
