We had a leak between our meter and irrigation line over the weekend and couldn't get any irrigation company to come out. Nashville Irrigation and Lighting was able to fix it Monday morning. I called and reached a live person, Olivia, rather than a voicemail message asking me to send an email. She listened to my description of the issue, asked great questions, and worked to fit us into their already packed schedule the same day. Tony G, the technician, has decades of experience. He diagnosed and repaired the leak (very hard work) and left the site clean, with no sign that any work had been done. The price of the work was fair, given the PREMIUM service. They installed an irrigation system about two years ago. THEY DID A TERRIBLE JOB.!! They ruptured a gas line using a regular shovel, they ripped up the internet cable causing the whole neighbor to be with out internet for 2 weeks. They were told not to install any heads in the right of way. They did and then they removed it. The overall sales person (RICK HARRISON) who I directly designed my system with, did not communicate to the installation team the type of sprinklers I wanted and where to install the back flow valve. They also had to install a pressure pump, due to low pressure for $1400.00. I specifically told Rick where it needed to be in relation to the electric outlet . I had the outlet installed exactly where Rick said it had to be. I then spent $200.00 to have an electrical outlet installed. When I checked their work after they left. I found an orange extension cord lying on the ground, in a pool of water ,connected to my $200.00 outlet, they installed the pump to far away from the outlet. I again had to pay another $200.00 to move the outlet so the pump can connect directly to the outlet. Then the pump cracked and stop working, the back check valve cracked and had to be replaced. this is after I had them winterize my system. It has been nightmare of a project. Everytime they came out, something was wrong. I finally had to ban them from my property. it is now several years later and the system is worse than ever. I have spent a lot of money in repairs. I basically will have rebuilt the system by the end of this year. Do not use this company. Beware of Rick because he is smooth but does not follow through.Get everything in writing, get a design of your sprinkler System before they install (they want a $150.00 to do so) read more

We had an irrigation system installed by Nashville Irrigation on September 29 followed by aeration and overseeding October 2. Installation was on a single day led by crew chief Able (sp?). Zac and the office staff were accessible and easy to work with. Abel was outstanding, willing to do ANYTHING that I asked about. Abels's crew left the yard in about as good condition as possible considering the trenches that had to be dug! Josiah led the overseeding team using good equipment and seed product and was also in and out quickly leaving the yard in great condition. Josiah and Zac left clear instructions to get the seedlings started and Josiah was helpful on my follow-up questions. Seed germination has been great. Josiah knows his fescue mix! After 3 weeks, our yard is beginning to look wonderful. Nashville Irrigation did what they said they would do, continue to answer questions and provide ongoing advice, and are very easy to work with. We worked with Zach and his team for a new irrigation system for our home in the new Barton Village subdivision in Lebanon, TN. The entire experience was excellent. Zach met with me and spoke by phone several times to review some specific concerns prior to installation to accommodate future plans for the yard. The office staff was accessible and responsive regarding scheduling. The work was completed in a day. Despite the warm weather, the high quality grass seed they use where the lines were installed is growing back well already and the system has worked well as designed. Zach has been responsive to several follow up calls I have had regarding operation of the system and I am learning how to work the watering schedule in the phone app which is extremely convenient. I wish I could leave two reviews. One for the actual install 1.5 years ago, and 1 for the maintenance. The install was rough. Unfortunately they tore up the lawn, left rocks everywhere (TONS of rocks) and now 1.5 years later, my lawn still looks the worse on the street. The neighborhood is a new build, so everyone had the same "starting point", so I expected it to at least stay looking like the neighbors lawns who don't have irrigation, not worse. When paying $5k for a small lawn, I didn't expect it to be tore up so badly and not recover. That said, the maintenance crew and customer support has been really great. They're very responsive, and do an excellent job. Tony in particular has been coming in the fall and Spring at my house. He just left and it prompted me to leave this review, simply because he went above and beyond to make sure I understood the strategy and parts, and did a great job. Really appreciated him! If you can get a better initial install, I definitely recommend working with them. read more

Humberto and James and the entire crew did an excellent job installing my irrigation. They were very kind and professional. They were very attentive to my requests for my specific watering needs for my garden. Humberto had to make some additions and adjustments to some of the spray heads based on my requests. He and James took extra time to make sure I had good watering coverage in the garden. In response to requests for extra irrigation and changes, Humberto said that he just wanted to make sure that my husband and I were happy with the installation. We are very happy with our irrigation. This crew arrived early, worked diligently, and professionally installing my Rainbird irrigation system. I had a very pleasant series of communications and interactions with the office staff, workers (James, Mr. Vega), and Rick, the supervisor who gave me great assistance and instruction. There were no surprises except pleasant ones. Upon completion, the work site was cleaned and cleared. Where their equipment had rolled over in my neighbor's lawn, workers went out with rakes and groomed the grass. They even blew off my back covered porch despite not soiling or disturbing that area. I have had ongoing frustration with another irrigation vendor for the last two years and did not have the energy to cut the ties. Considering the outstanding service I just received from Nashville Irrigation and Lighting, I should have switched long ago. Big mistake. First...when you call the office, they answer the phone. Which was a novel experience for me, based on my last vendor. Second....they showed up on the date and time we agreed upon. They even called 30 minutes before the arrival time to confirm. That was unthinkable, based on my previous experience, but seemed basic to Zach Orange--the representative from Nashville Irrigation and Lighting who managed the work at my home. Third...their pricing was transparent and reasonable. They did not come in looking to rip out a replace every component of my truly old system. Forth...they communicate well. That is a compliment to Zach, but it is also a sign that the company hires good people. Don't make my mistake. I'm so disappointed in this company. They were highly referred by various neighbors for both backflow testing and repair of our system. I initially e-mailed and requested both testing and repair and got a response back asking me to call. So, I called on a Monday and was told someone would call me back. No one did. No e-mail, nothing. On Wednesday, I called back, hoping I'd just been lost in the shuffle. I was told that they would be out on Thursday between 3 and 6. I work from home so I waited for someone to ring the doorbell, never leaving during that time, so that I could explain what I needed. I never got a call, or an e-mail and no one ever attempted to talk to me. On Friday, I called back and was told that the person came out and tested the backflow and it was fine. I informed them that he was also supposed to do a repair and asked why he didn't let me know he was there. She just said "Well, he was just there to test the backflow, so they don't typically talk to the customer." I explained the entire situation. No apology, no attempt to resolve my issue. Nothing. I told her I'd be going with someone else for the repair. And I definitely won't be recommending Nashville Irrigation in the future. read more

Beware of Nashville Irrigation & Landscape. We hired Nashville Irrigation & Landscape to winterize our sprinkler system, which worked perfectly fine prior to their service, when they came back to turn it on they "didn't have the expertise needed" to turn the system back on... they have now been to the house 7 times, unable to fix the issue that didn't exist prior to their service... the 5th time they came rather than have the system on manual they just turned it off and didn't tell us, therefore killing the lawn and select trees that were also affected, as their message to us was it was only select zones and the system was working otherwise, given it goes on at 4am, we believed them, I mean why wouldn't we they are "supposed" to be the experts and they were charging us as such.. as the lawn continued to get worse and the trees started dyeing, my husband went to check the system and there wasn't even power running to it, they never turned it back on when they came to "Try and fix it"... they came out today for the 7th time and the tech said "I don't have the expertise needed" promised us someone would come tomorrow, and then we got an email someone would come in 2 weeks... we are not in a situation we can wait 2 more weeks, this has been going on since May 13... when we questioned why this is the 7th time they have been here, how could this not have been communicated what was needed, they said "Sorry, it is what it is",..... BEWARE do not use this company, they are clearly NOT experts in their field... read more

I was given the name of Sean at Nashville Irrigation & Lighting by my landscaper who is installing shrubs and plants. I called and was surprised that the owner actually answered the call. He came out right away, gave me a quote. His office manager, called me to set up a date and we were ready to start within a weeks time. Well, his office called and said they could do it a day earlier and I said great! I have attached a few pictures of the installation. They were prompt, courteous and they were clean for doing such a dirty job. By that I mean, they cleaned up after themselves. They also were helpful with all my questions and super polite. Being from the north, I am always pleasantly surprised at the courteous manners shown to everyone here. Southern Hospitality is certainly alive here. All in all, I am quite happy with the service from start to finish. We were ready to go from start to finish within 10 days. I call that FANTASTIC!
