Their quality has gone extremely down hill since rebranding to 'Mecca.' Most 'top tier' strains smell fine in the jar but very few are actual quality anymore. Every day smokers know what I mean. When I pay $25-$30 for an eighth of weed, I expect quality. Not for it to be so harsh that it burns even on green hits. Your growers need to slow their process down & actually take the time flush their plants thoroughly. You're pushing product too fast & it shows... I'd rather pay a tiny bit more to not get such hit & miss quality constantly. (Even hit & miss quality from the same growers which shows that they're having a hard time keeping up - I know because I see their product in other dispensaries in town too) If I didn't live so close I definitely wouldn't purchase product from Melody Genetics, etc.. Used to be my favorite place, now called Mecca cannabis; the new manager Rob doesn't know what he's doing. He's inflated prices and according to staff even tried doing away with the daily deals. This type of greed doesn't belong in the cannabis industry especially when this is a store for locals and not tourists. I've met all of their staff now. Yes they have a few "know-it-alls" and a couple salty members, but every business does. The bud tenders who are cool there are genuinely okay. There is one guy who says he's "a grower" but doesn't know the relationship between Anthocyanins, nitrogen and temperature, when turning the color of marijuana purple. It's just honestly harmful to the culture when you don't have the facts straight, yet still prefer to take the self righteous route of telling someone their wrong. It actually IS NITROGEN AND TEMP THAT CAUSES the product to turn purple, it's the Anthocyanins that are effected by genetics, giving it the ability to turn purple, after the CAUSE, of course.
