I should have read the reviews BEFORE I went back here after a few years on NOT going here. I thought I'd give them another shot, since they are closer than going to Lynnwood. What a mistake!!! I should have avoided going in, when I saw a man without his shirt on, walking around the place and repeatedly going to get water from their water cooler (it looked disgusting). But, I went in anyway because I felt a bit sorry for them, because they had no one inside except two men, one giving a pedicure to the woman who started to help me. The woman convinced me to get the Shellac ($15 more) and promised me that it would match the color that I wanted. (It does NOT.) And, as other reviewers noted, the polish they have on the wall seems very old and not many shades to choose from. It has been over 8 hours since I was there today and after going through the painful experience, my cuticles are still throbbing! (I am going to soak my feet in peroxide and hope that I didn't get infected with anything.) As I pointed out after they were finished, my toe nails looked crooked. I had mentioned to her, when she was giving me the pedicure, that I wanted to make sure that they looked straight and that I was unhappy with how crooked my old pedicure looked. When all was said and done, they looked exactly the same! After pointing it out, she informed me that they did it the way my nail grows. And, when I tried to tell her that it should be done to at least give the impression that the nail is growing straight, instead of continuing the crooked look, she just got mouthy. I told them I will fix it at home and made a mental note that they are NOT any better than they were a few years ago, when I stopped going there. Well, now I know why they were empty today! Hopefully, I am not this stupid AGAIN. Oh, and did I mention that the Shellac that was upsold to me is already peeling? (The clear polish on top is flaking off and the edges of my nails are rough. My husband, who isn't a fashionado, told me that my nails look sloopy - already and it hasn't even been a full day!!! That's 2 hours of my time and $50 that I will never get back. read more

This place has just been newly remodeled and taken over by new ownership!!! If you are ever in Monroe and in desperate need of some relaxation and pampering you have to go here. I never had a wax paraffin done before but I had it done here for the first time and let me tell you it leaves your skin feeling super soft and buttery. They do such a wonderful job and their customer service is impeccable. They have so many spa pedicure chairs with a flat screen TV in the front as well so you are never bored. They offer all types of waxing and even stone massages and facials. A shellac manicure here is a must as well they do an awesome job. I love shellac and will never go back to a regular manicure. It is always so hard to find a great nail salon that is willing to take the time to take care of you and really give you what you pay for. So the next time I am in Monroe I will be coming back here for a little bit of everything. By the way they offer free complimentary drinks like soda and water, plus they have a refer a friend special as well. Ask for Tammy she does great designs and very attentive with the details. I walked in and asked if they did SNS nails. The owner said yes she did. After my pedicure I went to the nail station. She did not have SNS and insisted it was just a different brand. 2 days after my mani, I have several broken nails. My toe polish is also spotty in places. Salon was clean and customer service was good but I now need to go get my nails fixed after just paying for them to be done and lied too. She also nicked my cuticles on 4 different fingers. I've come here consistently for the last couple months after trying the gel/shellac nails. I had a set put on and even though they lasted a long time the clear polish came off almost immediately (day or two) so I thought they used the wrong polish. Turns out that polish is bad because the same thing happened the last time. It bubbled up and fell off. This was my second fill and the lady in charge told me I needed new gel nails put on...? Since I'm new to this I took her word for it. I later find out I only needed a fill. And by the way...ripping the nails off (literally) REALLY hurt!! I told her it was painful and come to find out they're supposed to soak them off. After that truly uncomfortable and very painful experience of having the gel nails ripped off of the real nails she left to help another customer. So I asked the man that was finishing how often they have to put on new nails and he said after every sixth visit/fill. I wanted to ask her why she thought I needed a whole new set of nails after only two fills and of course I never saw her again. Bottom line: The owner is really pushy and is definitely overselling. O left with sore legs as she o lying ran her thumbs done the sides of my shins. I woke up this morning with bruises on the sides of my shins from how hard she pushed. so my review keeps disappearing off Golden Nail Salons page... makes me wonder why this keeps happening. I came here because my husband bought me a gift certificate for a mani and pedi. I was excited to go as it has been a while since i've gone to the nail salon. Upon entering, you could tell the building was old. I got seated right away. The gentlemen that did my pedicure was just so fast, and didnt take the time that ive experienced anywhere else. I felt like i was just rushed through. Pedicure turned out fine, manicure on the otherhand started chipping by the next day... and I didn't even do anything to make it do that in such a short period of time. The salon itself wasn't organized, you could tell things were not in its place, and it was just an old, dusty place to me. I've experienced much cleaner and better service. Maybe i got treated differently because I had a gift certificate? guess i won't know because I wont be back. :/ read more

I left the brazillian bikini wax covered in dark (& painful) purple and red bruises which lasted for a full week and my skin peeled because I repeatedly said the wax was too hot and she ignored me. I came in to get shellac done with my mom and I waited almost 45 minutes. A man did my nails he did ok but he was in so much hurry I felt the quality of service isn't worth the price I'm paying. I know left my car registration there because I went there after I was at Whitfield licensing place. First time, walked in, all their polish seemed old. The lady kept nipping my skin with her cuticle cutters. So many times that I said please skip this step. Then she skipped the hand lotion part all together so I left with acetoned white dry fingers. So pretty. Very impressed....very comfortable, calming and relaxing. The people working there all were very pleasant and skilled at what they do. Great massage chairs, ice cold water when you sit down, a REAL foot, leg and hand massage with the mani/pedi. Surprised they offer ALOT of other services ... Massage being one. So I've been having a hard time finding a nail place that I like. I work in monroe so I thought I'd give this place a try for a fill. The nail tech was nice and very fast but not in a good way. It was the fastest fill I've ever gotten and probably the worst. She said my nails needed to be reshaped but now they are all crooked and uneven. she accidentally cut me under my index fingernail pretty deep. It hurts like hell! Now I need to take these off and get another set. Just paid 18$ for her to cut me. Don't get me wrong I'm sure some people love her work and they have many pedicure chairs and other nail techs who I'm sure do a good job. This place just isn't for me. read more

I was coming here frequently but stopped because I thought I had fungus on my right big toe from Golden Spa. Well when I went before and pointed it out he said no fungus. I discovered this place after moving out from Bremerton. Prices are decent, but their pedicures are awesome! My toes are definitely not my best feature. when i was in last, they suggested i get acrylics on my big toes. i did, and i really like the results! I would pay just for the foot/leg massages! I also get my eyebrows done here, and they do a good job. They also ask if you want water or anything to drink, and the massage chairs are pretty powerful! All in all, I will definitely use this place as my regular manicure/pedicure/eyebrow place. It was a great find! read more

Absolutely the best service I have received at a nail salon, and I've been to a lot of them! Friendly service, complimentary drinks, and quality products! The previous salon I went to for a shellac manicure did not impress me - the entire nail wasn't covered, and where it was covered, it overlapped the cuticle causing it to peel quickly. I've had a PERFECT shellac manicure every time at Golden Nail and it lasts! I'm very hard on my nails and the shellac still lasts over two weeks (much longer if you take care of them better than I do!). I do not live close to Monroe but I will continue to drive here for the fantastic services they offer. Also, you cannot beat their prices! read more

This place is AMAZING! My boyfriend and I came in for two pedicures. They were so gentle normally I'm used to cringing slightly but I didn't even feel a thing. The woman who did my boyfriend's feet got rid of all this calluses, his feet feel so smooth. She also told us about the deluxe parrafin spa pedicure, which we ended up getting because it sounded good. The deluxe comes with this mud mask and exfoliating scrub for your legs. This place is definitely worth the price! I plan on making this the salon I go to for everything. read more

Will not go back. Was asked to wait 20 minutes (which was not the bad part) and then the job was so rushed she cut me 3 times and blamed it on my sensitive skin. The acrylic was so thin, you could see all my previous fill lines and by the second day I had already bent my nail back and the nail was loose. Apparently nail salons don't go the extra step anymore. On my way out she said "oh, you can get some lotion if you want" Ugh. Last time I had my nails done, they did all that for you. Lotion, hand and arm massage, some do the hot towel. It's all stuff you have to pay extra for now. *sad* read more

Been here a few times before to get pedis but when they got new management i thought id give it a try. It was horrible. I took my cousin from California to get some pedis and they sat her first and made me wait for a lady that was getting her pedis done to finish. When I sat down they started on me first not letting my feet soak for not even 2 minutes. Then the lady sat in front of my cousin and was ON HER PHONE. My cousin had been seated first and had been waiting already. WE waited 5 minutes, she was still on her phone. waited another 5 and i was annoyed that she hadn't started yet. I politely asked her if there was someone who could work on her feet or if she was since my cousin was waiting and she rudely said no its fine ill get her feet done. I was awed even after that she stayed on her phone for a few more minutes. needless to say she didn't get a tip. The pedicure was not good quality either. Not a good foot massage and the paint doesn't look good on. The old management was way better and did great pedicures. Never coming here again. read more
