Very clean place. They don't talk a lot but I'm not a fan of chit chatting during hair or nails type of things so personally I loved that. Went with my friend and we both got exactly what we asked for and I love them! Ann (or Anna...Annie? so sorry if i got that wrong) did my blue shellac nails and tony did my friend's acrylics. I was done in about 15-30 minutes and my friend was done in about 30 but they came out beautifully! It was also a lot cheaper than I expected. I haven't had my nails done in years so I'm glad my first time back in a while went so smoothly. I will be coming back :) read more

Horrible service paid for ultimate pedicure! Got nothing near. No hot stones - sugar scrub/mud mask was slapped on and rubbed off. Had to clip my own nails and use tool because gentleman didn't understand what I needed. Paid in full anyway under the condition that there best pedicurist redo the whole process. Owner agreed than when I returned would only do regular pedicure. DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE! Don't even deserve a star! Never again!!!!!!! I would 100% come back here for a shellac mani from Mary. She probably did the best shellac nails I've ever had - seriously they lasted for 3-4 weeks without chipping or anything. Amazing. Pedi? Not so much. They didn't keep the water hot, the massage chairs are wonky, no hot towel wrap, no foot rub, no yummy lotions, nothing. When I go for a pedi I'm 90% in it for the foot rub and leg pampering, instead it was almost an hour of messing around with what were already trimmed nails. Then (I think) she tried to trick me into shellac by saying the polish I picked out was runny. I mean I appreciate her getting me a better polish, but I kinda had the feeling she just wanted to up charge me for shellac except I pointed it out. Still she did a great job with the polish, but like I said I just like a nice pampering, relaxing pedi and this isn't the place for that unfortunately. read more

Never in 30 years have I had a worse experience with a salon. I went in at night, for a pedicure & full set I called in before just to make sure they could take me. I got their about an hour in half before salon closes. No one else was there but me and the two men working. Cool whatever.. The pedicure was HORRIBLE! Literally feel like they poorly washed my feet and just painted my toenails. Then I proceeded to go get my nails done..he starts to try to give me a regular manicure on my real nails and I asked him not to do that I didn't want it and he stopped with an attitude and said"what now you want a full set?"The other man that was there was standing over top of me at this point as well, so I'm uncomfortable now and just want to get out of there ASAP so I just told him to use regular polish on my fingernails not shellac no full set just hurry up & get out of there... I had just got engaged on Easter four days prior and was wanting to get a full set, I seen they had dip and they do designs looked pretty promising so I thought I was going to get me a nice set to take some pictures of my engagement ring.. he pretty much told me that it would be too expensive, and since I have a baby I don't need long nails...like I couldn't afford it? I told both men more then once that I did not want my real nails painted, I have lupus my nails are very thin and they break easily..I wanted to get a full set...he seemed agitated, and it was almost closing time it was like they wanted to just get me out of there and did NOT care even an ounce if I left happy..I left things alone and told him to just use regular polish.. I was almost in tears walking out. My fingernails didn't even set long enough before I got in my car so my polish is icky within first 34 hours...I'm very upset. This was my go to spot but the owners are extremely rude and preferential when it comes to customers. Especially men, I don't know if it's because the services aren't as much for us or just plain unprofessionalism. I got to the shop at 10:45 it's just me and one other young lady in line ahead of me. They finish up someone at 11:05. Myself and the young lady are still waiting to be helped. So at 11:10-15 (30 mins later) I go to put gas in my car (literally at the corner of the block there on) because the wait is so long and come back at 11:20; 11:25 the latest and I ask how long it'll be for me since the young lady was being serviced now. At this point the owner has thrown away the sheet that had man name and services I asked for on it and started a whole new list. Then proceeds to tell me hold on while she answers her phone and that I'll have to wait another whole hour before they could service me because I walked in and out. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Terrible service read more

I hesitate to include my review because I would love to keep this place a secret for my very own. However, I want to give kudos where deserved. I've only had pedicures at Golden Nails but this is now the only place that I go. It's well priced and the women are very attentive. The pedi chairs are comfortable and just plain fabulous. I don't treat myself terribly often but I am able to more often because of Golden Nails. I love it. read more

The people were friendly and talkative. great atmosphere, but just an OK nail job. I went in asking for gel extensions as opposed to acrylic extensions. I think she misunderstood, thinking that I wanted gel polish on top of traditional acrylic nails. However, I didn't realize this misunderstanding until it was too late, the tips were already applied and she pulled out the acrylic powder. I figured oh well, the nails will still look fine. However, she made them much longer than I asked for and didn't ask what shape i wanted, so they came out looking as if i was a stripper. Needless to say, I went home and filed the nails for a few hours until they were the shape and length I wanted, and had to re-paint them myself. All in all, a waste of $35, and I will be having them removed elsewhere. read more

I normally go to magic nails around the corner but they were booked so I decided to try golden nails. Huge mistake, I wanted a pedicure and shellac on my hands. The person that began serving me was an older women, she did a ok job with my pedi until it was time to polish. My toenails were uneven and the polish looked clumped on my nails. I asked her to at least file my big toes, she did a little but not enough to actually make them look shaped. She seemed as if she was getting annoyed so I left it alone. Next she began my shellac, she filed my nails uneven again!!!! I watched and waited to see if she'll fix it but she just began applying shellac then clearcoat. My nails looked horrible each finger has something wrong with it. I pointed that a few of my nails had bubble in the polish, she just filed and added more cc I told her that didn't fix the problem there were more bubbles, nails uneven, polish not evenly layered, cc all around my cuticles. I tell her again then she spazzed and throws the file and says I'm too picky and she'll take it all off, which I was ok with because they looked horrible. All I wanted was shellac polish on my natural nails, that's it. She continued to yell, then one of the other workers takes over and agrees that they were a mess. Thank god for her, stay away from the old woman she cannot polish and will explode if you ask her to fix something. Highly disappointed read more

I've been here since 11:30am and it's 3pm now, and they didn't do nothing yet. I had to ask 3 times for them to finish taking my shellac off.....The owner is by far the rudest person I've ever encountered. She does not know how to conduct a proper business, I've been coming here for a while now because one tech but now I only come when it's an emergency and I can't go to the other place...which I may add is in Dearborn. If I could, I would give this place no stars!! I have had bad experiences all around. They over-thin their polish to the point where it looks like a dollar store brand. The place wasn't very clean. The nail ladies spoke no English and were very rough, not gentle at all. They completely ignored me when they were doing my nails. I don't think they even looked at me once. I'm usually a generous tipper when I receive good service, but I never have here. They practically demand tips, and if you don't give one because of poor service they will just stare at you until you're forced to say, "no tip." The worst experience I've ever had, especially with taking off a set of acryllics. Before going here, my nails were thick, strong, and healthy. But the lady messed it up so bad that my nails were the thinnest they could possibly be. It hurt to press on them or even paint them with nail polish. When I told her I thought she did a terrible job and that she messed up my nails permanently, she shrugged and told me it was my fault. read more

The customer service here is terrible. The owner is by far the most rude person I've ever met! I visited the salon on a Saturday and the owner states there's no appointments on Saturday's. Just walk ins. I've been coming every Saturday for the last month to have my nails done by a nail tech by the name of Tony..and have been told that I cannot be serviced because there is "an appointment" before me. On several occasions I've mentioned that I thought their policy was walk ins on Saturday.. because I would've scheduled an appointment. I was then told I can come back 2-3 hours later or come back during the week. I could be mistaken but to me that seems like an scheduled appointment!!! I am a working mother and weekends work best for me to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure. I'm not a parent that will bring my child to the salon with me during the week to accommodate their "appointment/walk in" policy. I would rather not waste my gas and be told to come back at a later time. I've mentioned to Tony that she should consider switching salons because I'm sure she's losing business. Never again. They recently renovated which looks nice and after a year I decided to go back and try them again, big mistake. Once I arrive, there's three employees sitting in their stations while everyone else is working on a client so I sit and wait, the lady never gave me a time estimate but I figured it wouldn't be long. 5 minutes later a lady shows up, and she has a reservation so she goes to one of the employees who were open( understandable) and then another employee comes up to me and hands me the nail polish remover and asks me to remove my polish, I think weird but whatever I can do to speed time up! 10 mins later two girls show up and ask how long and she says 30mins, less than 10minutes pass by and I look up and the two girls are sitting down next to each other about to get serviced! Are you kidding me!!! Communicate with your client that has been sitting down for 30 minutes at this point waiting! Never going back poor customer service. read more

Ive been going to this shop since high school 2009. They were great then but now NO customer service. You can be a regular and no one will greet you. The work they do is a hit or miss. Went today an got shellac nails and it chipped the same day. It really bothers me to spend my hard earned money their and to be treated poorly. My nails were beautiful and perfectly healthy until I did...They had someone do my manicure where she proceeded to cut and file them down to the skin where now they look terrible!!!!! And they hurt.. Once I told her to stop she kept going!!! After I complained they had the nerve to tell me they were too short and I have to come back in three days so they could paint them!?! I have been going to Golden Nails for 5-6 years and Mary would do a great job on my eyebrows. I have referred several people to Golden Nails and always got complimented on my eyebrows. On May 16th MARY dropped a large amount of HOT WAX in my hair and begin to frantically remove the wax from my hair by pulling my hair out. She didn't even tell me she messed up. As she was pulling my hair out I asked to get up to see a mirror and my hair was damaged. Luckily I had a sew in (Or Weave) and it wasn't my natural hair. I paid a substantial amount for my hair though. I told her I would not be paying for her service and left. My husband then called up there and was very upset and they agreed to give me a gift certificate for a free eyebrow wax and told me to put baby oil in my hair to remove the wax. I went to redeem my gift certificate on June 26th and was told there was a long wait to get service. I came back the next day and there were only 3-4 customers there. None of the employees acknowledged me when I came in. One of them said something in Chinese and Ann, the owner, came out and stood over me and said What do I want? I said I wanted to get my eyebrows done and she said they would not do my eyebrows. I told her I had a gift certificate and she said no eyebrows was for $10.00 and that I could not use my certificate. She said they would not service me. So I stood and told her I would make it my duty to let everyone know about the HORRIBLE service I received. So although I received great service in the past, it's just a matter of time before something like this can happen to the next customer. Please be careful when deciding to visit this place of business. I was very upset at how I was treated and I remained very professional. I wish I would have filed a police report so since I can't, I will share it with everyone else. read more

this place is close to my house and i wanted to support the local businesses. but i will not be going back. its just okay.i got a mani-pedi they left most of the rough skin on my feet and didnt do that great of job at cutting my toe nails. the place also has no ventalation and gave me a huge headache. read more
