Brought a necklace and earrings for my 7 month old daughter from this place since it was down the street from my job I went to a few jewelry shops on Main Street and finally stop here! they were very nice and helpful great customer service when I made the purchase and the price was reasonable and last week I went to put the necklace on my daughter for the first time and the lock was broken so I tried to go get it fixed that same day but they were closed due to the shop being robbed the day before so I finally went back last Saturday to get it fixed and he was acting the same way like he did when we first purchased the necklace and earrings he barely didn't want to talk to me or what I needed to get done! He took my info and said he would call me, didn't even tell me that it would be a charge for fixing my items! Never called me which is 9 days later I decided to stop by and see if they were ready! Had me waiting for a long time while he went next door to the children clothing store! When he finally decided to come back to help me he was rude and was like "oh you expect me to fix this for free" making it seems like I broke the necklace when he clearly sold me a broken necklace and to make it worse I got back another necklace they switch my necklace it's not the same necklace that I bought in to get fixed this one is thinner than I originally bought and I didn't notice it until I got home because I was so furious at the way I was treated these past two times... it's not my fault your business got robbed... maybe you should have better customer service with your customers !! I really wanted to purchase a bracelet for my daughter but I'll take my business somewhere else HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Old guy is a complete scammer he quoted $10 to change a watch battery took a look at the watch was like oh this is our special screws turns out they were just Flathead micro screws normal proceeded to charge me $30 in terms of the quote I said fine and then charged me $40 there's no way sales tax in New Jersey is that high what a complete scammer just never go to this guy and I hope his business closes people like this should not be around ripping people off. read more

All my GF wanted was a pair of small, simple, sterling silver earrings. This was our third and would have been our final stop in search of these darned things. This spot had what she wanted. Yay! Every other store was just too ghetto fabulous for us. The store is dingy. Looks like a pawn shop. Not bad, considering everything else on this block. The two men were too deep in conversation to properly assist us. The young girl they sent to help us was cool. The earrings were thirty bucks. We thought that was pricy for simple silver earrings coming out of one of these cheap jewelry stores. Got them anyway. Purchased an ankle bracelet that Freddie assured me wouldn't break, within a week...it was broken so of course I go there to get it fixed. I called for a week straight to see if it was fixed and if I could pick it up....no one answered nor did anyone call me to inform me it was ready. If I could give ZERO, or NEGATIVE stars, I would! WORST experience in a jewelry store, (or ANY business for that matter), that I have EVER had. Freddie, the proprietor of this so-called "business" is as rude, belligerent and disrespectful as they come. I don't know what metal he used to attempt a "repair" on my wife's Movado 18K white gold & diamond bracelet, but both of the links he butchered broke as soon as I got home and took the bracelet out of the envelope! When I called to tell him about it he suggested it was probably other links, got angry, tried to talk over me before before finally hanging up, then hanging up again when I tried to call back. Hey Freddie, it's not my fault that you do shit "repair" work and that you're a fucking douchebag, who I'm sure cheats his customers every chance he gets, yes? If you purchased items from this store, I would strongly suggest you have them checked by a reputable Jeweler. Seriously. Don't walk, RUN from Golden Palace Jewelry, (or Gold Star Jewelry, the name on the building). Don't give them a dime of your money. ok so I love filigree earrings but I hate post earrings, So normally I would either get 14k yellow gold leaverback earrings or let Freddie (the owner) get them for me and transform my post to leaver back. I have very sensitive skin can only wear 14k or above to avoid irritation or keloids which I also conveyed to Freddie. Normally he not a problem but THIS time. SMH. I bought my own 14k leaverbacks for him to transform my earrings to. He messed them up by appling too much heat to the spring and they fell apart. He agreed to do them over. 2 weeks later I picked them up only for my ear to start turning green after 1 week. He had replace the post with fake gold leverbacks. He claims that he didn't know that the vender that he got them from were fake. 3 weeks later he did them over. I got them back only to find that he now soldered 10k gold backs to my 14k earrings. WHO DOES THAT? he claims everyone does which is completely false. in the intrum he tried to get other jewelers around him to help him put the 10k on my earings which they all declined to help him. weeks later he finally agreed after the xmas holiday to order the correct 14k backs. I called on jan 12, 2018 and was told that they came in. I didn't get to the store until jan 20 only for him to have the sales girl have me choose between 2 other earring backs that he was going to take apart from other earrings that he already had in the store. again WHO DOES THAT? and where are the leaver backs that you ordered. all he did was curse and argue about how much time and money he spent on my ear rings I told him that its all because of his doing that he had to keep doing it over and over. Mind you this process took 4 months and I ended up leaving with the 14k leaver backs (from a pair of earrings in his store) and not having the 10k back removed for my ear rings.
