I called the Manhattan location and learned I could go to their New Jersey location instead of traveling into the city, which is located in a nice neighborhood in Scotch Plains, NJ. I pulled up in my car in parking lot and parked right in front. Safety with the amount of jewelry I had with me, was also a big factor for me and this is 100% a nice and safe location. It was invaluable to me to be able to drive to it, and not deal with the city commute and fear of carrying all of it with me. They paid exactly the same as NYC location and highest % possible for gold today that is hard to find getting. Happy I did the research and made my phone calls to find this place. I dealt with Amit and he was super nice and friendly. A true pleasure to interact with. I sold some really nice pieces that we no longer wear or have any use for, as well as scrap jewelry and some silver pieces. I was very happy overall with the entire transaction. Yesterday, I arrived at Global Gold & Silver with a bunch of sterling silver Tiffany's jewelry that I haven't worn in years along with a couple David Yurman pieces and some yellow gold. The Tiffany's was a bit tarnished. I was embarrassed that the sterling silver wasn't polished, but Chris, the manager, took it anyway. I offered to polish it at Tiffany's before turning it in, but he was honest and said Tiffany's would charge me an insane amount just to polish the jewelry. I appreciated his genuine honesty. I felt I was in good hands after checking out the reviews the business received. Also, I like that they are certified by the Better Business Bureau. Another aspect I liked about the business is that they have other locations in New York with awesome reviews. I was very happy with my cash out. I did very well. The designer jewelry was literally collecting dust in my closet. I don't think I'll ever buy another piece of designer jewelry, because the value depreciates after a while. Chris was very helpful, kind and honest. His assistant was also very nice. Overall, I really liked the place. It was quiet, clean and it also smelled very nice inside. I'm disappointed...I went to this place based off on the reviews I read. They really weren't as nice as the reviews said. I understand there's a standard price for weight and so forth but to be told that it would cost $20 to clean the ring seems a bit much. Its a very small wedding ring. I'm not an angry customer just disappointed but really it wasn't that dirty. It's my fault I probably should have cleaned it myself, but when your in the dire position we are in I guess you don't think. But all in all I am grateful they bought it. UPDATE: This is an update to my original review... The owner of the company contacted me personally. He patiently listened to my concerns and did not interrupt me. He was very respectful and handled himself like a person who cares about his business. He went above and beyond! Which is something you very rarely experience these days. Global Gold & Silver Is A Ripoff- Go Elsewhere! In my view this is without a doubt a fraudulent operation. I brought in a gold necklace with small 9 diamonds to offer for sale and Global offered only about half of what I was offered by a competitor only one day before. (The competitors price was also a low ball offer, but way above the Global offer). The necklace was being sold for its gold and diamond value only. That is what the prior offer was based on. Based on the gold weight of the 14K necklace (and based on 14K gold being approx. 58.3% actual gold) ...and even without calculating the diamond value, Global was offering approximately one half of the real value of the necklace. Their offer is less than 50% of the real value if the diamond value is added in. That, in my view, is out and out fraud. They are looking for either desperate people or people completely ignorant of how the value of gold items are calculated. Don't be fooled by the other reviews. I doubt they are real. Global Gold & Silver in Scotch Plains NJ are predators. They are preying on desperate or uninformed people. Don't be a sucker. You will NOT get a legitimate offer at Global. read more

I first called to see if they bought Breitling watches as i had 2 that i wanted to sell. A man named Chris was friendly and told me they did and to come on in so they can give me an offer. When I arrived, all was well. He gave me an offer and we decided not to go with it and to just keep the watches. After a couple of days we decided that we dont wear them enough and called him back to see if the offer still stood. He was EXTREMELY RUDE.
