I have been shopping at this wonderful thrift shop for years. All proceeds from the thrift shop benefit the food bank that serves hundreds of people each month. The shop prices are great. Donations are able to be dropped off on Wednesdays. There are a lot of high quality name brand items. This is a great way to recycle. Reduce waste and support food security, in Golden. Today I scored two like new brooks brothers wool sweaters for $40 and a stack of paper plates for a dollar! I highly recommend shopping, supporting, donating & volunteering at the CAG. Since I have used them a few times in the past I donate items often. Unfortunately, I've always had negative experiences donating. They've always been rude.... Never a thank you, it seems more of a burden to accept my gifts. Also coming in with hands full no one will ever hold the door open or offer assistance. Also their prices are not real good and parking is a pain. There's room for improvement. read more

I like that CAG also works with the Calavary Church food bank. We have numerous School of Mines students who do not have the financial resources for adequate housing and food. It has to be an scary challenge to keep up with the intense academics at CSM and then to not have housing and food security. Golden is fortunate to have both CAG and CSM in our city! This is a tiny little thrift store. I like it, good prices. The workers are friendly and helpful. Parking can be tricky. I think they only have 6 parking spots, there's street parking. Parking lot should be for compact cars only. You get a fat truck in there and no one can get out. read more
