It was getting so out of hand that it was impacting our experience with him as our pet. We found Macayla at Unleash Fido in Jacksonville. We enrolled Taz in their 4/5 weeks obedience training and OMG we legit have a brand new dog!! He is more calm, settled, obedient and has really responded positively to this new training and rules. The entire team at Unleash Fido have been very helpful, professional and kind. Our trainer Macayla has checked in with us frequently to see how things are going, answering questions and has provided several post training sessions to ensure we are comfortable and continuing his training. I have had to reach out to her regarding some new undesirable behaviors and she made some suggestions that really worked and has been so incredibly helpful. Worth every penny. I would highly recommend them for any dog training needs!

We were recommend Unleash Fido by several people. We scheduled an hour long consultation with Travis who ended up giving us 90 minutes of his time to learn about Lily and discuss their program. Lily had several issues, such as pulling on the leash, lunging at cars, barking at people + other dogs and going absolutely crazy when Amazon/UPS was delivering a package. Ultimately, we booked Lily into their month-long Obedience Training Camp. After receiving weekly report cards that contained photos, videos and a brief update on how the last week was, we were finally ready to pick-up Lily. Our first time picking her up was also our first training with her. We worked on establishing place, having her heel while walking, and working on other things around distractions. Within the first 24 hours back at home, our investment in this training payed dividends. She's obedient on walks, doesn't mind others passing by, comes to us on call, goes to place when told and so much more. We'd highly recommend anyone who's dealing with behavior and/or obedience issues to look into Unleash Fido! It was so embarrassing to have an unruly dog, and this was a true investment that we are so happy we made.

I wasn't sure how he would do woth other animals but Devon immediately assured me that they would be able to handle Kapano in their house for his boarding! I was impressed as he came back more confident and mannered around other dogs. I was consistently sent updates and photos of him throughout his stay and made to feel more than welcome to visit. He also came back to me in better shape in terms of muscle! If there was anything Devon had questions about they had no issues contacting me right away to let me know or ask about, I felt very comfortable and safe with my dog remaining under Devons care. I had never had to leave my dog with anyone before so i was reasonably worried as he's been my bestfriend for 6 years but i am EXTREMELY satisfied with Devons services and will continue to use devon for any training/boarding related needs for the future. I cannot recommend Arcane Canine enough! And thank you Devon for taking the best care of my boy when I needed it the most you are amazing!

Review, K9 Lifesaver Guy Beyond wonderful and a lifesaver…read more I cannot even put into words how much he helped me. I had taken in an abandoned dog, a pitbull mix, who was young but adult size and 56 pounds. He was not fixed so had scheduled him for neutering, but it would take some time. It was fine, I could not spend time with him because he was attracted to my leg, to take him out in the backyard was off could do. He was well behaved. However, the backyard neighbors have been away with their dogs in the head come back on a Saturday. Starting Saturday night, after being in the backyard when the other dogs were backyard, he started really hyper. And Sunday he just won't be berserk, he somehow got out of a closed door room, he had scratched the door had put a hole in the wall. He chased after my cats, and he was going on the tables and I just couldn't control him. I called different places, thinking I had to get rid of them right away for my cats. It was a Sunday night so I had no luck. Until I called North Florida K9 Behavior Center and luckily, he answered the phone. He was a godsend. He calmed me down because I was hysterical. Gave me great information about neutering and what to expect after you neuters. He also gave me a lot of great psychological canine behavior, tips and information explain so much he helped me get a plan together, which I was too hysterical otherwise to have done without him. It set a plan to put Teddy in the garage with the cage, and to keep him away from the cats, meaning I would take him directly from the garage, the backyard and not to the house. he called me down enough to realize that the neutering process would help a lot, and that it was OK to keep him in the garage for now for his safety safety of my cats and my sanity. I literally don't know what I would have done without him. Teddy is still waiting neutering so after Teddy has that procedure, and finishes his vaccine boosters, our plan to call him again. You can't go wrong with a person who's so understanding, so calm, know so much about any more behavior and psychology, someone who takes the time out of their off time to help deal with a hysterical person, which she did not have to do. I highly recommend his services.

When I first got my precious Pomeranian puppy, I thought I could train him myself... I was wrong! He was adorable but incorrigible. I interviewed several trainers and they were all nice, but I immediately felt a connection to Ms. Eva (the owner of Wigglebutts) and knew that she would treat my little baby as if he was her own. We arranged for a "board and train" for a few weeks while I was out of town. Me. Eva made sure I came out for a visit with my doggy on another day before I left him with her so we all knew each other and he wouldn't get scared being left at a strange place with a strange person. I missed him so much and I really appreciated that Ms. Eva took frequent videos and pictures of him and texted me updates and even patiently took all of my calls so I never worried! She did an AMAZING job! She has a little "school house" on her property where she individually takes your pet to work with them which I think is a genius idea. He learned several commands including sit, stay, quiet, fetch, and conquered his potty training. All with loving guidance only! I left with instructions on how to keep training, a video of his best tricks and we had a little graduation. Our last session was at a park where we got to practice our new skills in a safe situation with a professional so that I felt in control and at ease practicing them in the "real world." Melissa really listened to what I wanted, what my dog needed, and tailored every session to what would work best for US - not following the same script and steps that everyone gets. I went in hesitant about the training methods but am now more educated than I anticipated; I know more about training, I know more about my dog, and I even know more about myself. It was also a lot of fun!! My dog and I both looked forward to our sessions and it helped us bond a lot. There were quite a few scheduling issues, which was not a huge deal for me, but it was inconvenient at times since I have to drive a bit to get to the facility. Regardless, I will 100% be saving up for another 6 week program!

While we did our…read moreresearch on the breed, I wasn't sure if this breed would live up to their nickname: sharkadoodle. I'm here to say, our pup did. We adopted him at 7 weeks old and after our first vet appointment, we knew we needed to get a trainer, because the quicker you train your pup, the quicker they learn. When we asked our vet if they had any dog trainer recommendations, without hesitation, they mentioned Susan Gillespy with Behavior Training for Dogs. I contacted Susan via her website and within a few hours she contacted me back, asked some general questions, and we set up an appointment for our first dog training. I will say, do your research when looking for a trainer. While you shouldn't be price gouged, it is an investment, and an investment doesn't always come cheap. When I spoke to Susan, I asked how many sessions does a puppy normally need, she mentioned four (typically). She comes to your house, this isn't a group lesson. She arrived on a Saturday morning ready to start work. Susan described her teaching philosophy, what we'd aim to accomplish each session, and checked to see what our concerns were. I really liked how she got everyone in the family involved in the training. She's a big believer in "NFL" "No Free Lunch". Basically your pup/dog needs to work for their food. Each lesson we built on the concepts we learned, like come when called, clicker training, no nipping, sit, stay, down, signal, doorbell training, leash and harness training, jumping, etc. Each week we received homework. Some of our homework was doing 150-200 commands each day. If you do this every day, you'll see progress. By the end of lesson four, I feel like we had a different puppy. While he's still a work in progress, and it's a lifelong learning concept, I feel like this was a good investment. Susan may be tough, but she's fair, and you and your pup will thank you for it. Pros: -Fair pricing -Comes to your home -Works with the entire family -Ability to call/text Susan when you have questions/concerns -Gives you an outline and homework at the end of each lesson Cons: -None Tips: If you go with Susan/another trainer, be sure to continue to work with your pup.
