Updating this review to more stars b/c Ive been in more times since they added new Vets & office…read morestaff. The wait time is still longer than expected, but nowhere near the excessive two hours I had to wait during the first appt. Giving them 5 Stars b/c I didnt have to wait long & wasn't charged 'an arm & a leg' trying to help a feral kitten survive. The new female Vet was kind & knowledgeable. River City Vets are my 'go to'. Easy access, off-street parking.

I will never take my dog here again. The worst experience I have ever had!!!! I am Appalled of the lack of communication and the way this 5 and a half hour day went!! I left there not comfortable with even being sure of what treatment he received if any. I understand you have this covid going on and us parents can not be in there during treatment but on that note you should put some effort in contacting us we should not have to make several phone calls to find out what is going on while being told several times that someone will get back to us which never happened I mean by law they are not supposed give any treatment with giving a break down of the cost of it. We never got a break down the just did the treatment so they say and handed us a bill!!! Like I said all about the money!!!! We were supposed to be given hand written instructions for his treatment which was now told it will be emailed to us after we paid the bill we will see if that happens!!! Because all day long we were givin the run around about everything!!! I mean I understand being busy but if you are to busy to give the proper care then I would have rather been told they could not fit him in then not get the proper care for him. But then again how dare you turn down a dollar it's better to over book then consider the well being of of fur babies!! Absolutely unexceptionable care from this place!!!

Without reservation, Peggy and the other wonderful caregivers welcomed Emmie and cared for her as if she was their own. They called us daily and sent photos of Em. We had worried because she had never been boarded or played with other dogs. However, she came home with fur friends and a team that truly cared for her. Such a relief to know whenever we are in Jacksonville, or the Mayo Clinic, that Dogtopia 11300 Beach Blvd is there to care for Em. Our heart filled thanks to Peggy and her team of dog lovers.

Big news for our boy Tyson!…read more Today at 2:00 we had our meet and greet at Dogtopia of Jacksonville Beach Boulevard (11300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL). It was a 20-30 minute evaluation with one of their awesome trained staff to see if Tyson would be a good fit for daycare. Well... he passed with flying colors!! So we're now officially doggie daycare parents! This is going to be so great for him to build his social skills (even though he's already a professional door greeter ). We've decided his full name now needs to be Tyson Carlton Corcoran -- because, well, it just fits! He'll get hours of safe socialization, exercise, learning, and the best part -- FUN! We'd been researching a few doggie daycare centers, but honestly, what completely sold us on Dogtopia was the people. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the happiest, friendliest staff. Ms. Peggy, the owner, came right out to welcome us, and while Tyson was whisked away for his evaluation, she gave us a full tour -- from the grooming room to the play and nap areas, to the feeding room (the only thing we didn't see was her office... but I'm pretty sure her "office" is the whole center ). She answered every question we had -- and even a few we didn't think to ask! It's so clear how much she and her team truly love what they do. We're beyond happy knowing Tyson's going to have a safe, loving, and fun place to play and learn. Dogtopia of Jacksonville Dogtopia of Jacksonville Beach Boulevard

STAY AWAY!!! You've been warned…read more Here's what happened to us.... 1. NEVER CALLED BACK. When I arranged to have my dog (Milo) stay with Crystal we began talking through logistics but then she had to jump off and she said she'd call me right back. A couple of days later, after not hearing back from her, I called her again. She said she remembered me and tried calling me back but, "must have had the wrong number". Not sure how she could have had the wrong number when your phone shows "recent calls". 2. NO DOG TOYS. No dog toys in sight, inside or outside. 3. WENT RADIO SILENT. I heard from her on Sunday at 9:49am. After not hearing from her on Monday, I texted her on Tuesday at 1:58pm, No word back. I texted again on Wednesday at 8:08am. Still silence. I then texted her later that morning at 11:10am, left a voicemail at 11:43am, sent an email at 11:48pm, and a FB message around that same time. Lastly, I left her a missed call an hour later at 12:43pm. To summarize, I sent 3 texts, called 2x, and sent an email and FB message after not hearing from her in nearly 3 days. (She claimed I didn't give her time to get in touch with me because I only sent the email and FB message 1 hour prior to us connecting via phone. However, that disregards all of the texts and calls I made in an attempt to reach her before that.) 4. ONLY PICKED UP WHEN I CALLED FROM ANOTHER NUMBER. 5. CLAIMED SHE NEVER GOT MY TEXTS, VOICEMAIL, OR MISSED CALLS. When we did connect, she claimed she never received any of my texts, my voicemail, or my missed call. I believe she doesn't realize that the iphones show when texts have been delivered. 6. YELLED AT ME FOR THE MAJORITY OF OUR CALL. 7. WRONGFULLY CLAIMED I DEMANDED MILO SIT ON SOMEONE'S LAP FOR 2 WEEKS STRAIGHT. Not only did I never request he be in someone's lap 24/7 for two weeks, but that wouldn't even be feasible... I told Crystal that Milo is most comfortable with people and loves sitting on laps and shared how I hoped he could get some lap time at her place since he gets scared easily. That statement's far from demanding he sit on a lap for 2 weeks straight. 8. WRONGFULLY CLAIMED I ACCUSED HER OF NOT FEEDING MY DOG. This thought hadn't even crossed my mind. 9. LOST HER SH*T WHEN I ASKED FOR PICTURES, AFTER SHE TOLD ME I COULD ASK FOR PICTURES. When I dropped Milo off, she said, "He's your baby; if you want pictures of him, just text me!" I thought that was very kind. After she offered to share pictures with us, I texted her [at most] once a day to ask for a photo or video. Some days, I didn't ask at all. When she finally answered my phone (when I thought to use someone else's number) she then yelled at me and claimed I was demanding because I asked for photos. She said I was the most demanding customer she's had because when she offered to send me pictures, she hadn't wanted to send them almost daily, and it was my fault for asking for the photos... 10) CANCELLED ON US 1/2 WAY THOUGH DOG BOARDING LEAVING US STRANDED MID-VACATION. Our call ended with her telling me she wouldn't continue watching my dog because I was demanding (demanding of what? I still don't know... I guess for requesting the photos that she offered to send) and that I needed to have someone pick my dog up. This led me to scramble and have to find someone at the last minute to get my dog and then care for him just as the holidays are about to start.
