The owner is delightful and is a collector of vintage items and machines from the 1950s. One of the ways he shares this love for his vintage collection is by demonstrating how they work for the kids. It is a wonderful experience! He let us try out the vending machine, inserting the coins, and then taking the bottled Pepsi or other sodas from the machine. Definitely an amazing experience! As if the store didn't hold enough wonders and interesting artifacts, in the back of the store is also a 1950s pay phone that actually works! The guy walked over and asked how old my boyfriend was and he told him and in response he kicked him out and used lots of profound language in front of kids. He said lots of terrible things about him as well as myself. I was absolutely terrified of what he would say or do next and quickly left. I would never recommend this to anyone especially if you are a female and/or go alone.
