I graduated Golden View 2 years ago. What can I say about this school to sum up my love for it…read more Golden view changed me both as a student and as a person. I learned what it meant to have virtue. The teachers are the best people you will ever meet. Their joy and wonder for life and learning inspires me to this day. However, this school is not for the weak of heart. It takes grit and determination to do well with their classical education. But if you commit, you will learn what it truly means to be human. My love for learning flourished as did my love for the world around me. I will send my kids here one day. And hopefully be apart of the Golden View family forever.

From the owner: Golden View Classical Academy is modeled after the most successful classical and liberal arts…read moreschools in Colorado. Golden View Classical Academy offers a robust and traditional liberal arts and sciences curriculum, to include literature, history, science, math, art, music, and physical education. In the elementary school, students are taught to read using an explicit phonics program with a focus on grammar and spelling, along with cursive handwriting. Saxon and Singapore math are strategically sequenced to take advantage of the strengths of each program. An early exposure to Latin and Greek roots is followed by a formal Latin sequence in grades 6-9 in order to enhance the student's vocabulary, spelling, and command of the English language. In the upper grades, instruction includes a course in rhetoric, the use of primary source documents, Socratic seminar, and the study of classical literature that has withstood the test of time. Golden View Classical Academy also includes a special focus on Western Civilization, US History, and the principles of America's model of government and free-market economic system.

Bell is very welcoming to the sixth graders and helps to prepare them for Golden High School. For anyone that has Bell as their homeschool, don't be worried. --- **Yo okay…read morelisten... this middle school? Wild.** First off, the vibes are crazy. I walked in and it smelled like pencils, hormones, and broken dreams. Classic. Hallways are like a maze--felt like I was in *The Shining* but with more trapper keepers and kids screaming about Fortnite. Teachers? Mad chill. Except for Ms. Thompson. She gives off "pop quiz on a Friday" energy. But like, respect--she really do be teachin'. Mr. Reynolds, though? That man is either a wizard or severely underpaid. Dude had like 30 kids doing math without crying. Legend. The food... *yo the food.* It's like NASA tried to make pizza out of anxiety and frozen cardboard but somehow? It slaps when you're hungry enough. Tater tots hit different when you haven't eaten since breakfast. 7/10, would snack again. Recess is short. Too short. Like, how am I supposed to emotionally reset from social studies in 15 minutes? Let me breathe, bro. Also, the jungle gym is lowkey a war zone. I saw a 6th grader get launched off the monkey bars like it was a WWE match. Lockers? Tiny. My backpack has PTSD. Why do they give us these toddler-sized boxes and expect us to live like this? But fr, the kids here are cool. Weird in the best way. One kid tried to sell me a Capri Sun for $2 like it was black market gold. Businessman in the making. Overall? Kinda chaotic, definitely loud, lowkey nostalgic. If you survive it, you come out stronger. Like emotional boot camp with extra homework. and oh like the recess is like 6 7 min to short but live the vibe are still chill af

This school requires a very specific person to enjoy it. It's 7th-12th and in 7th grade those who…read morewent to Denison will already have friends there and won't really branch out until around the end of the year leaving those who did not go to Denison sometimes feel left out. The teachers tend to be republican along with many of the students however very few teachers make their views known to students besides the occasional slip up. The teachers for 7th and 8th are not the best but after that it tends to get better. One problem some might have is the closed campus. While there being a closed campus on its own is not bad the food there isn't good at all. Your only option to get a good meal is to make your own lunch and bring it to school but that isn't always an option. Also if you want to be able to spend time with your child then don't send them to develyn as the work load is over the top with the principal saying that 3 hours of homework should be the norm. Overall, if your child does not cope with stress well do not send them here. In the end I don't think that this school is right for most people.

If you think that Ralston Valley is a good school, then you are sadly mistaken. The previous year I…read morespent at this school was the worst year of my life. Some of the girls in my choir class were being mean to me and when I told my choir teacher about it she literally defended them and made up excuses. She was completely okay with the fact that those girls were making me feel miserable. If you were thinking about joining the choir program at Ralston Valley, think again and join it at any other school. The current choir teacher at Ralston Valley picks favorites and defends mean girl behavior. She cares more about her and the Ralston Valley choir programs image than the well being of her students. The administration at this school is also horrendous. They do absolutely nothing about bullying and make up excuses to defend the bullies, just like the choir teacher.

The principal has repeatedly shown that she does not care about the students' wellbeing. Whenever…read morestaff members try to provide support for these students, she dismisses their efforts without a second thought. Rather than addressing important concerns, she retaliates and damages the lives of the staff she is supposed to protect. This school has so many students--how long do you think she can continue her neglectful actions without something tragic happening? What will she do when that day comes? Hold a school-wide meeting? Blame an imaginary group of bullies? Or maybe they did exist--who knows? Clearly, she doesn't, considering she's nearly allowed multiple students to die under her watch. What do you think will happen at that meeting? The friends of the student will mourn their loss while the principal feigns sympathy, pretending she's innocent and hasn't contributed to the tragedy? It's disgusting. She is twisted, and I will not stay silent until she is removed. Jeffco has failed its staff repeatedly, denying them adequate medical care and fair compensation, leaving them on the brink of homelessness. But beyond that, they've failed your children. If you're a parent, you may want to reconsider sending your child to this school, as it's clear the principal couldn't care less if a student drops dead in the halls. At least she treats the staff poorly, so perhaps that's the only thing she cares about--her own agenda and money. I urge you to report her to any relevant authority because this is not okay. I no longer feel safe walking these halls, knowing that my principal could care less if I were dead or alive, and that my nurse is being harassed by her.
