All star burger with fresh toppings.
    Victor H.

I'm going to update my 5 star review from years ago to "yes" still another 5 stars. If I could I would exceed the 5 stars. This burger joint is on point!!!!! I ordered an "All star combo" You get a fresh flavourful homemade burger And Let me separate the word "flavourful " YES. It is full of flavour. You also get a side of fries and a soft drink. All for $16.55 plus tax. Let me tell you it is well worth the price. And The fries are house cut and ridiculously good. Honestly the fries might have been better than the burger. Not to say the burger was bad. It too was phenomenal. I love establishments like this. Local, fresh ingredients and great fast service. I'll definitely be back and I hope to see you there too yelpers.

    6oz burger
    Karmela C.

I ordered the 6oz burger, and it was just the right amount of food for me. Since I got the combo, it came with fries and a small drink. As always, the burger was fresh and had that signature smoky flavor. The fries were a generous portion, which was a nice bonus. The only thing I'd change is the amount of sauce--I wish there had been a bit more. But I'm sure if you ask for extra, they'd be happy to accommodate. The interior has a classic diner vibe, with nostalgic touches like old signage, posters, and newspapers. They also play old-school classics, which really adds to the atmosphere. The overall ambience is calm and inviting, making it a great escape from the busyness of everyday life

12oz well 2x6oz MVP burger topped with fried egg and sautéed mushrooms in a bowl. Nearly perfect for carnivore.

Been here twice now. Their advertising is basically the heavenly smell of charcoal grilled meat as you pass by the restaurant. For slightly under $20 you can get a 2x6oz charcoal grilled burger with a fried egg on top and chipotle mayo on the side as a dip for the meat. I would be cracking the yolk and let it drizzle over the meat to cook it a little when it is hot. Perfect for the anti-vegan. Though I did cheat a bit by adding some sautéed mushroom and a mocha capuchins milkshake to share with my son. Which ends up being $25. Line up can get long but moves quickly. The parking lot is limited so you can always park at the mall across the street if you are desperate for a proper burger. If I am soloing I may replace the mushroom with bacon or add a slice of mozzarella. It may not be money worth but I would be willing to spend a bit to support this local business. There are few of them left so it would be prudent for those that can to support them.

Hamburger, fries, gravy and root beer

Saw someone on tick-tock review this place for their burger and had a craving so a quick drive later and here I am. This place is definitely established, as in it's been here forever. Staff was very friendly, took my order right away and by the time I got to the first paragraph my order was ready. Ordered a burger with bacon and the usual toppings, fries, gravy because why not and a root beer. Food smells amazing, a quick hand full of fries from the bag didn't disappoint. Thick cut, nice and crispy but they could learn a thing or two from five guys and throw some extra in the bag. The gravy is thick and flavoured but was too much for the small amount of fries. The bottom bun was a bit soggy by the time I got home to eat my tasty burger which was disappointing because I only live 10 minutes away from this spot. It was however very well seasoned and hit the greasy spoon itch I was trying to g to scratch. Would definitely recommend trying this place, especially on a night when you just want a quick inexpensive burger. All inclusive with tip was under $25

It's not always pretty, but YES, it is..that good..

Are you Hungry? I MEAN really hungry...? Goldenstar Restaurant is truly one of a kind and makes one the best burgers! I have gone and ordered many times their burgers and hot dogs and even steak on a kaiser. This restaurant is amazing. Even on delivery they do not disappoint. I have fallen in love with this place I have used Skip and Door Dash to order such dishes and truly amazing. Love how they added a triple burger item now as well in 2022. Their menu selection keep growing and their milkshakes are fabulous as well. So if you need to eat a burger charcoal and just grilled to perfection Goldenstar is all you ever need! Charcoal Grilled Burgers and Hot Dogs!

    Classic burger with cheese

Old school burger joint serving up delicious made to order burgers. First time trying, had their cheese burger with fries and it was pretty good.

Two burgers, a shake and an apple turnover.

We're back bois! It's the day before thanksgiving and it's been 9 months since our last review. We have been holed up, separated from each other, and the worst part about it all was that we couldn't eat food together. But tomorrow is the anniversary of Jesus of Nazath's last supper, so there isnt anything that's going to stop us from indulging in a big, juicy, burger (we ordered takeout, be safe kids). We both ordered the 6oz All Star burger (N ordered with barbeque sauce and pickles). The 6oz is more than enough for you small bellies out there. The 12oz is only for the unga bunga dothraki warriors. The burger was kissed by Spongebob himself, the real fry cook. It was hardy, but it was not greasy, it did not leave us reaching for the jug of water and it was full of flavour. It's hard to find a burger this good, at this price and at this portion. The bbq sauce was top-notch, would recommend . The apple turnover was not too sweet, which is the way we like it. Definately up there with the McDonald's apple pie. It was super crunchy, without a soggy interior and it was clear the sweetness was the natural sweetness of the apples. The strawberry shake was your standard strawberry shake with all its creamy, refreshing, goodness one needs to hit the spot. The best way to sum up our eating experience is with the following poem we wrote: First sip of the strawberry shake: "that's a nut". First bite of the burger: "that's a nut." First bite of apple tunover: "that's a nut." In coclusion, it's a nut, 5/5. - XOXO, N&G

I had an okay burger. Not bad, not great. So I am wondering if a new cook made my meal. I was expecting a stellar charcoal grilled burger as per past reviews but instead I got a burger bordering on bland. Most of the flavor came from the tomato I had on there. Also, everything that was on that burger (bun, patty, cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickels) was soft so no other texture. I paid $16 for an order of burger and fries. What I can say is the fries were fresh and they gave us a lot of it. The servers were very nice. Only the guy working the cash register wore a mask. I can imagine how hot it would be for the cook to wear a mask but maybe the guy handling the condiments/cold items should wear a mask as well? I really wanted to like this place as I live pretty close but I dont think I will be coming back.

Consistent quality -- piping hot Korean corn dogs with a variety of toppings and sauces. This place is takeout only, nothing fancy, with a little shelf type thing by the side so that you can stand and eat if you really needed to. It's small and sometimes gets a bit crowded and busy. My go-to is the Beef & Mozzarella with sweet chili and mustard sauce. BF's is the potato one or something spicy (personally, not a fav, as I find the spicy one rather on the too salty but not spicy side). At some point, they started selling Yubu (inari pockets) as well, and I found them to be not as good of a deal as the corn dogs. Tad overpriced for very plain food combinations.

The sweet potato was nice and crispy and the beef and mozarella had a great crispy cheese pull. At this location, we noticed that they were pretty stingy with the toppings. We asked for honey butter powder and garlic powder and they gave tiny little sprinkles of each. We wanted to keep the crispness of our ricedogs so we asked of we can do our sauces on the side and they limited us to just one each, but if we put the sauce on top, we could do multiple. This was the first location to do that to us, so we had to ration it since it a half filled sauce container, lol. The house coffee we probably won'tget again. It was too sweet and too creamy for our liking. It tasted like drinking melted coffee ice cream.

It was made fresh to order and was piping hot. The sausage was large, but I wished the corn dog was also stuffed with mozzarella cheese. Loved the variety of sauces and powders too. The shop is very small and has a small standing counter than you can eat at if you wish, but it's more of a grab and go place.
