Shamrock Burgers is one of the oldest burger spots in town, operating for 50+ years. I tried the Classic Rock burger combo here on a weekday evening. You need to pick out the toppings you want for the Classic Rock burger, so I picked out lettuce, jalapeños, chipotle bbq sauce, crispy onions, and mushrooms for my burger. If you're not sure what combination of toppings to try, they offer Signature burgers where you don't need to pick out the toppings as well. For my side, I got their crispy onion rings. I loved how crispy they were, but they're on the oily side, so I would try to dab some of the excess oil out with napkins. Their combo also comes with a choice of canned pop or bottled water for your drink. Overall I enjoyed the food, but it's definitely very filling, so I would not recommend getting the combo if you have a small appetite or not super hungry. I had to share the onion rings because I was stuffed after the burger.

Another Family Fave!!! Anytime we are in the Highland Park/Port Union area of Scarborough, we always make it a point to stop into Shamrock Burgers. It has been a family favourite for a few years. What is awesome about Shamrock Burgers is that the food is always consistent. The meat always fresh, juicy and flavourful, and the fries and onion rings are always cooked to perfection. The kids love their milkshakes too! Like most great burger joints you have many options for dressing your burger as well as a few Shamrock Signature Burgers as well as beef, chicken, Beyond and Veggie burger options. I love their hand cut fries and always get them with a side of gravy. The onions rings are home made and always crispy, and we always get an order of their waffle style fries as well. Give Shamrock Burgers a try, I'm sure you will love them too.

We enjoyed a Classic Rock Burger combo with fries & onion Rings on a nice afternoon. The burgers were seriously delicious but I must say you HAVE TO add the secret sauce, crispy onions, caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms... so many amazing flavours and textures.. The meat has a delicious grill flavour.. but came off slightly greasy. Fries were okay but the oniom rings were really good!

It was ok. We have eaten here at least a few times before and I guess it didn't merit a review...hmm...I wonder why. I like my burgers to be juicy. Not dripping fat juicy but at least not so dried out that even a slathering of bunch of sauces can't save it dry. My classic was just ok. Would I pay $10+ for this burger again. Heck, no. My husband seemed to enjoy his farmhouse burger so maybe it was the way I ordered mine that made it not so palatable??? Their poutine was good but it's difficult to go wrong with a poutine anyways, right? A bonus star for the Galaga arcade table where you can play the game while waiting for your food. Shamrock burgers was good for one lunch and that's all she wrote!

Well. Been here many times but will be my last chicken burger. Onion rings are good as usual, but I cooked chicken is just not acceptable!! Not even busy. Only person here. Photo speaks for itself! Completely pink chicken!! Yikes!

I did not have the Monster Sham at Shamrock Burgers & Pizza! I do think I might be up for the challenge one day but not today as I just had some fish and chips for lunch..... Monster Sham ($10.60) is Two 10oz meat patties with cheese on a kaiser bun. And If I am hungry enough to finish that myself by completing the challenge I would have a $5 gift card so I can stuff my face with my burger! I instead settled on the Classic Rock ($4.10) with my choice of condiments of fried onion, Rock sauce, tomato, and jalapeno pepper. My burger was cooked to order while I enjoying watching how the fat caught on fire while it was on the grill....... It was kind of messy when I started biting into it but the patty was moist and was just cook right. If you do want yours well done, please request that and they gladly did it for some of the other patrons. The Classic was good... I want more after eating that. Maybe, just maybe I will order a Monster Sham next time!

Fresh food & quick service. I love the onion rings from here, they're so crunchy! The location is good and there's ample parking as well!

great burger joint! shamrock has been around since the 70s and offers up some fabulous burgers! i tried the classic rock and it was delicious - fresh tasting beef cooked to perfection. pictured is the spicy clucker and I can't wait to try it next - my friend LOVED it.

The canadiana burger and philly cheese steak bun are great! Their sauce/gravy takes it to the next level. Pull pork poutine is a good choice too if you are a meat lover. Double decker Grill cheese burger is a bit too oily. But i will skip the chicken burger because they are dry (i tired it twice..)

I've been here twice (& both times were during lunch so it was crowded/ the space is pretty small so we had to wait for seats). I've tried their beyond meat burger, farmhouse and classic burger. all three were absolutely delicious and filling! can't wait to come back and try their other burgers.

The common thread here is this place *used* to be amazing. They've strayed from their roots of a local burger joint to a more chain like feel. I miss the old local burger joint feel. Wife and I ordered a 4oz combo with another 4oz burger. $17 for this. Price was a bit steep for what we got. The burger was really good both my wife and I give them 2 thumbs up. The fries were pretty good. Summary a good burger but at a price. There are better spots around (Johnny's, 5 guys, Real McCoy) that are true to their roots.

    Jacqueline M.

The burgers were really good. Fresh off the grill and the patties were very juicy. The staff were friendly and attentive. There were a lot of options in terms of the toppings. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is craving for a burger!

Two Saturdays ago, I was in the Malvern area of Scarborough and had just spent some time running errands. I needed to grab some dinner. I looked at my DoorDash app. I saw a BOGO deal on a Boardwalk classic burger combo. Perfect! The combo details are as follows: - Two Boardwalk classic burgers - Two 8-ounce fries - Two fountain Diet Coke drinks I saw a Dubai chocolate brownie on the menu. I had to get it. I got an estimated time to pick up my order. I casually drove over to pick up my food. This eatery is located in a plaza. I drove southbound along Morningside Avenue and did a left turn onto Kingston Road. I then did a right into the plaza and backed into a parking spot. I walked into the eatery. There's a door to enter and a door to exit. It reminded me of Salisbury House in Winnipeg. The eatery was cheerful and spacious. I was the only person here at nearly 4 pm. I got a helpful woman who came out of the kitchen. I let her know that I had a DoorDash order. She took out my tray with my drinks and my paper bag of food. I thanked her and took everything over to my car. My food went into an insulated bag. I secured my drinks. Both drinks had the X on the lid sealed with tape. The problem with this approach is that the carbonation had no place to escape, except under the lid. Yep, I had Diet Coke leak out of one of my drinks. I ended up cleaning the mess after I removed the tape off both drinks to release the bottled-up carbonation. I drank one of them as I headed home. It tasted yummy and crisp. It was icy cold. I liked that the straws have a red diagonal stripe. They are paper and durable. Being a person who is curious about an eatery's backstory, I went on Boardwalk Canada's site to check out OUr History. It wasn't helpful with the birthplace right off the bat. It says that Dave and Fran DiFerdinando founded Boardwalk and they wanted to bring the "taste of Boardwalk fries" to Canada. Which boardwalk? It should be mentioned in the same sentence. When I think of boardwalk, it's the Beaches area of Toronto. Second? The boardwalk shopping area in Kitchener. The third? The boardwalk in Atlantic City. I don't recall any Boardwalk burger joint in any of these locations. When you read the Boardwalk Canada's story, the third paragraph says Ocean City's Boardwalk. Geez, thanks for burying this detail. As Canadians, are we supposed to know where Ocean City is? Looking at the Boardwalk US site, all my questions were answered in the tagline under the title of this History page. It's Ocean City, Maryland. Why not cut to the chase on the Canadian site with this detail?! One word: Ugh! Let's get to the food. I frankly didn't think the fries were to write home about. They are apparently cooked multiple times. I didn't taste it. They tasted like once-fried fries that were lightly seasoned. I saw tater tots on the menu. I'd rather get them than fries. I hope they are yummy. I will need to get an order and find out. The burger was delicious. The brioche bun was delightful. It was soft. Yet, it held everything together. It felt fancy and it was a nice change from a bun with sesame seeds. The seasoned beef patty was juicy and flavourful. It's halal, too. I loved the lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and secret sauce. They tasted fresh and were the perfect toppings. I had the Dubai chocolate brownie for dessert. OMG! It was stellar. It had the best semi-sweet chocolate. There was pistachio cream on top mixed crunchy kataifi bits. I'd get this dessert again in a heartbeat. I had a wonderful experience here. The burgers do run on the expensive side at roughly $10 and higher. It's excellent, though. I'd splurge getting one, along with the Dubai chocolate brownie. (368)

I've had their milkshake only at my first visit which was so excellent; thick and creamy and oh-so-delicious, I was really looking forward to trying out the food. We ordered chicken strip meal, lamb burger set with onion rings, and a falafel burger (daily special size) meal. The food was generally good, but I didn't love how messy both lamb and falafel burgers were. My falafel burger was little too crumbly which made it difficult to eat and the lamb burger was not as juicy as I read in other review. It did have a TON of sauce on it which made the burger a little too salty for our palate. The chicken strips were also on the dry side. I love supporting local, small businesses so we'd likely come back to try their very good daily special and milkshakes. For now, I'll say there is definitely some room for improvement here.

In a small unassuming plaza in Scarborough. I did not have high expectations to be honest, it is a low-key place. All I wanted was to try somewhere different from McDonald's and poutine. It turned out - this place was actually good, a pleasant surprise! Unique thing about this place is that you can choose type of Patty (smashed or grilled) and type of fries (frozen or home cut fries). No difference in price. (!) You can pick toppings, of course. So ... I got # Regular cheese burger (smashed) # Small Poutine (with home cut fries) Cheese burger was very good! Authentic beefy one and #2. additive-junky but super comfort-y one. (and of course, each has good ones, bad ones, OK ones.) The poutine is the latter and good one! lol. Plenty of cheese, stretchy. Fries were home-cut. Loved it! I ordered small size, but it had good volume. $6.99 was a very good price! Food came out quick. Way better than those fast food chain.
