We recently celebrated a bachelorette in Sonoma. Chef Nate and his wife did an amazing job! They came to our AirBnB and brought all the groceries and plates and cooked us an amazing 4-course dinner! They were able to create a customized menu to our liking that fit our taste preferences and budget. All the dishes were so perfectly balanced, beautiful, and delicious! All of us were blown away. My personal favorites were the Summer Salad and Kakuni (see photos). I felt like I was at a Michelin star restaurant! He has a lot of experience cooking under Morimoto, and working at Saison and Atelier Crenn which really showed in the beautiful presentation and delicious flavors. They were also very personable and professional. Chef Nate came out to explain each dish as they came out. They even cleaned all the dishes after the meal was over. Seriously such an amazing and seamless process from start to finish. I highly HIGHLY recommend them if you're looking to hire a private chef for a special meal or event! Recently celebrated a bachelorette in Napa a few weeks ago and had the pleasure of experiencing a 5-course dinner by Chef Nate. Nate and his team were prompt in their arrival to our bungalow in Downtown Napa and prepared our dinner within the comfort of our space's kitchen. He and his team were professional, friendly, and served up a delicious meal. A five-star combo of impeccable food and service, Omotenashi was easily one of the top highlights of our trip. Our 5-course meal consisted of the following items: - Japanese Yellowtail - Japanese Sweet Potato - a diverse selection of Maki Rolls - Prime New York steak - Cheesecake Every single item on the menu was extraordinary. The flavors, sauces, and cuts of the fish and meat were of the highest quality. Portions of each dish were the perfect size. Many of us were stuffed after the sushi rolls came out, but how could we not try the steak and dessert? Stuffing those bites in to taste everything served was a necessity. As a sushi lover, the maki rolls were phenomenal. The Spicy Snow crab roll and the Shrimp Tempura roll were easily the top two favorites. The marriage of all of the ingredients worked seamlessly together. The coffee cheesecake was the most heavenly way to end a delicious meal. Also another favorite from the menu. Omotenashi, Chef Nate, and his team made this occasion super special and it was evident that each dish served was made with effort and love. It's been a tough time for everyone... how do we celebrate a 50th birthday extravagantly but also safely with covid restrictions? ... let's hire a personal chef! We held a surprise birthday dinner for a family friend with 9 guests ranging from all ages. Nate and his wife setup and plan every aspect of the event leaving you with nothing to stress about. From table setup to menus to clean up - they are so truly professional and personable. We especially enjoyed how Nate came out to present each course in detail. I found Nate on Yelp. He is so meticulous, detail oriented, and has so much passion and enthusiasm for his business (he also cooks really well). He kept me in the loop on every detail of the menu and what to expect.Nate did not skip a beat, he was even able to accommodate my baby daughter and a family member with dietary restrictions. Our guests were wowed and impressed. I think we knew it was gonna be a great meal, but we just didn't know how great. It truly was a 5 star dining experience in the comfort of your home. For the last night of my 50th birthday weekend in St. Helena, my wife surprised me with a 6-course dinner prepared in our Airbnb by Nate & Jackie. It was easily the culinary highlight of the trip, and one of the most memorable meals I've had in years. The food was inventive and meticulously prepared. The quality of the ingredients was top notch; for example, best sushi I've had since Tokyo a few years back. Nate reminded me very much of the super talented up-and-comers you see on Top Chef, and if you live in the Bay Area you can have the good fortune of having him in your own home to prep, cook, plate, and present. I reached out to several private chefs for my 30th birthday party and was honestly met with some unfriendly and rude chefs as well as astronomical quotes for inflexible menus. Nate, on the other hand, was incredibly kind, professional, and more than willing to accommodate my budget & favorite foods. He created a 4-course menu especially for me and each *clap* dish *clap* did *clap* not *clap* disappoint. One of my guests even asked if they were Michelin star rated, kid you not. The food was incredible - every bite was absolutely delicious and the presentation was exquisite. Chef was so easy to work with, professional, kind, and extremely talented. It was truly a fine dining experience in the comfort of our own home. They bring everything. EV.ER.Y.THING. All you have to do is clear off some counterspace and a shelf in your fridge. Chef literally takes care of the rest. He used our stove top and nothing else. And our kitchen was perfectly clean when he was all through. Pricing was reasonable for everything that is included with this experience. If you enjoy upscale dining, you'll find the cost pretty 'par for the course,' but if you're not familiar with the cost of fine dining, you may find this to be pricey. Although we were unable to set a date ( fault was mine ) Chef Nate was wonderful. Communication was on point, sent over a mock up menu within minutes of our phone call, was willing to drive out to us in South Lake Tahoe in late winter, and worked with all my families dietary needs ( there are many ) He has a good vibe and it can be felt miles away. I booked Gold Coast to do a 5-course fine dining birthday dinner for my husband's 70th birthday at an Air B&B we rented in the Sonoma wine country. Chef Nate is an amazing chef and a true culinary artist. All of us were amazed by every course. Freshest ingredients in every dish .... from the fish to prime steaks, veggies, and sauces. And the dessert was outstanding, too! Our daughter is pregnant, so he even made some cooked sushi for her so she could enjoy that course with us. Chef Nate and his wife Jackie are friendly, helpful and very professional. They brought everything with them, very organized, cleared each course and served the next with the right amount of time between each, described every course at the table, and served the wines we provided to be served. Wanted to plan a special dining experience for my in-laws after not dining indoors for almost 2 years due to Covid. We are huge omakase fans so I was looking for fine dining/omakase/kaiseki style. After a little research, I hired Omotenashi for an intimate dinner at my house. I cannot say enough great things about Chef Nate from his responsiveness during the planning process to the beautiful and delicious foods he served our family. Chef Nate even made special noodle dishes for my small kids. My in-laws have been very cautious during the pandemic so it brought them great comfort to know Chef Nate was vaccinated, wore a mask the whole time, and was even willing to take a rapid test upon request. Omotenashi did an amazing job with our wedding. We had an outdoor meal in a space with no kitchen equipment, and day of the event we had to change some of the equipment. It didn't phase Nate at all, and he was still able to turn out an incredible meal. Four hors d'ouevres, sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and an incredible teriyaki beef - he even handled substitutions for dietary restrictions. The food was beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. During dinner guests were all commenting how good the food was, and the next day two separate guests called me to tell me it was some of the best Japanese they had ever had. Overall Nate is a world class chef producing a one of a kind experience. This was one of the better meals I've ever eaten, and I'll remember it for a long time to come. read more

Chef Nate and his wife Jackie are a dream to work with. They are so responsive and accommodating. While we were preparing, he would call on his way to his kids' practice, grocery shopping etc. They make you feel like you are a priority. There aren't that many chefs that do sushi and although he has a wide range, the sushi was excellent!!!!!! Better than a restaurant and he comes to your home. We celebrated my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and it was so special having a chef come and serve, help us. We had some dietary restrictions and he was not stressed at all and everyone was so full and happy.
