beware, beware beware... these people made an appointment for me without my knowledge and then sent me a $50 bill for it. I went back in March for a spot on my face. I bought cream from CVS for over $100. Looked on Amazon. It was $49 for the same exact stuff. then the girl said that I made the appointment. If they had called me to remind me, I would've shown up. I got no call. I hate when people can admit to making mistakes. And the cream made no difference at all. The girl on the phone was very condescending and tried to say that I was the only person that's ever been upset about this type of thing.she was lying. I looked at the reviews. The hold is atrocious! "You're call will be answered in 2 minutes" repeated every 2 seconds for FIFTEEN minutes! Also, LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS! They know what they are talking about. I used to go to modesto for my skin issues and decided to try Golden State Dermatology in Turlock, my hometown and was a little hesitant. I than met the friendly staff and got treated by Dr. Jordan Jepson and was very impressed. Dr. Jepson is so great at what he does and explained right away that I had a dark spot due to the sun. He helped me feel better about my face and gave me options on what to do next. He is a very charismatic, charming and good looking dermatologist, that shows professionalism and care for his patients! My provider took the time to talk to me about my skin issues without making me feel rushed and even followed up in regards to my prescriptions as they weren't covered by insurance initially. $100 = 5min with a rude and condescending doctor. I called on Monday for an appointment and requested to be seen by the doctor and not the assistant. I received the confirmation text for my appointment on Friday at 2pm, but when I got to the office they couldn't find my appointment. They could find me in their system but said that I didn't have an appointment scheduled. I showed them the confirmation text and they went to get permission to allow me to be seen for my appointment. The doctor approved it and they showed me to the room. When Dr. Christian Jones came in he was obviously annoyed like he didn't even want to be there. He didn't ask me what wrong or what the concern was he just came in and said, "hi." So I started to tell him what my concern was and he looked at his assistant and gave an ever so slight roll of the eye to her. I almost stopped him to ask, "what was that look about?" but I thought I'd better just have my concern looked at regardless of his attitude. He looked at the concern and said it was of nothing of medical concern several times . He gave me the option of freezing off the keritosis bump and said cutting it off would be too expensive. I asked him for the cost of cuttting it out because I was concerned that he said freezing probably wouldn't remove it and it might grow bigger anyways. He gave me the cost and then said we won't be able to do that today because we're slammed - there was only one other person in the office! It was just obvious by his attitude and comments that he did not want to be there, was annoyed by me and my concern. I told the assistant when he left the room that I saw the look he gave her when he came in and she sort of shrugged her shoulders like admitting it but not able to say it. I told her I could feel his tension and annoyance with me being there and that I wasn't sure if it was just me or if he's like that with everyone. I normally never post reviews, but as I'm getting older, I'm getting really tired of just allowing people to treat others in a rude manner and then on top of that pay them while they're being rude! So, I paid this man $100 to look at my problem for 5 minutes and be condescending and rude to me. I will not be going back there again. If you prefer medical professionals to act professional and treat you with respect, you won't like Dr. Christian Jones. read more

My husband had a suspicious mole so I called Golden State Derm & they got him in the next day. He saw the Dr & got a biopsy. His follow up appt we saw Jordan & were told it was skin cancer.
