Went in there to ask information about getting my nails done and they right away said "what do you want" not in a friendly tone, they seemed very annoyed that I walked in and it made me as a customer feel like a bother to them. I mentioned how I wanted to get my nails done but automatically, before I even got to finished my sentence, the two ladies looked at each other then went back to what they were doing then without even glancing towards me and said "not until later" after specific time (again in a harsh tone). I understand they don't have a lot of staff and are probably busy, I didn't want to make their day more difficult but I was not even going to get my nails done this exact day, I just wanted information and I thought to stop by instead of calling because I was right outside the building. No greeting or a "hello" when walking in, just a "what do you want." Although, I didn't get my nails done by this salon, customer service was not good or even decent, and I will definitely not be going there. read more

THIS MAN, wow, just wow. He truly cares about every crevice of each nail of yours. He takes time to examine each nail before he goes onto the next to make sure that they look exactly the way not only you want them, but to his degree of perfection. Doesn't speak much, but all his attention is on your hands. He may not talk much, unless he's asking for your preferences, but you know that quote that goes something like "you never forget how someone made you feel" or whatever, yeah, well, even though he barely spoke, his actions revealed more about him. For example, my mom didn't see that there were paper towels after she washed her hands and sat down with them wet, and he giggled and said "oh there's some in the wall" before I could get up to grab some he said "it's okay, I have some right here." Like it's not a major thing, but it's little things like that make people like him shine. Anyways, enough hyping the guy up. Off to the place, it's pretty hidden in my perspective. My mom and I are from a Modesto, and I looked at most reviews back home and they're usually 3-4 stars which isn't inviting, so I searched a little further and found this place. There are 8 pedicure chairs, 6 manicure stations, a bathroom (not sure if we can use it? I didn't ask). When you think of clean, the place is just that. Lovely nails is my favorite nail salon in Turlock! They consistently do a great job and are super clean (which I always appreciate).

Firstly this place charges $55 for a basic mani pedi which is way too much. The massage chairs are super uncomfortable. I was told to select a color from the wall and give them the number. The woman then came out four different times asking if "this was the color?" None of them were even close. If you're charging this much please know what you're doing. It's an insult to the customer. The folks working here were so kind. I called in the morning and they got my mom and I an appointment for later in the day. They got us all situated as soon as we arrived. They took their time with the pedicure and offered upgrades, which I obliged. They took extra gentle care of my mother who is undergoing treatments that render her very sensitive and weak. The prices and expectations were very clear, which I really appreciated! They had a great variety of colors too! I was only visiting from out of town but will definitely come back when in town! Note: Venmo or cash only. This would be helpful to know before going in. Luckily, I had Venmo but I know many people don't. They have an ATM in the salon but I'm sure there's a fee (which isn't fun). read more

My sister and I went for a gel pedicure. We both got the basic pedicure which cost us each $55. Definitely was the fastest yet most expensive pedicure I've had. They did not massage my sisters legs, and my gel polish is already peeling off 2 days later. Normally a gel pedicure will last me a whole month.. Looking closely at my polish, you can see lots of bumps and ridges on the polish. Would not return here. read more

04.21.22 -- Updating my review to 2 stars as Lovely Nails did fix my manicure however it's 3 days later and my nails are chipping again. So disappointed. I got a dip manicure and pedicure last Friday and by Monday 3 of my nails had chipped and polish on 2 of my toes was gone. I've never had a manicure/pedicure only last 3 days and am quite upset about the quality of Lovely Nails services. To their credit however my nails did look great Friday-Monday. read more

I got my acrylic nails done by Daysia, I highly recommend asking for her. She's incredibly sweet and I had a lot in common with her so it was nice I went to her to get my birthday nails done and I couldn't be any happier!!! She did exactly what I was asking for and more. This place does a fantastic job! I've had pedicures with Liz and got a fresh full set of pink & white ombré gels by Kayla, a fix (from another shop) by Michelle and a full by Lati. They all do amazing! I Couldn't be happier! Everyone on here is nice and polite and The quality of the work is excellent! I've found my new go to place. My only negative comment is that they don't accept credit card or debit card . They do have an ATM machine on site but you have to pay the ATM fees and your own bank fees for using their ATM. read more

I tried this place out because my regular spot is closed on Mondays. After one of the best pedicures I've ever had, I think this is my new spot. I got the #3 pedicure, which includes everything. The entire pedicure took almost 2 hours and every minute was heavenly. A lot of places don't really put their all into the massage part, which is most important for me, but she did a great job and I could tell she knew what she was doing. I stand all day at work, so my legs and feet have tons of knots. She found them and massaged them until they were gone. My feet feel amazing! Can't wait to come back again! read more

Never EVER again. I should've known better, but with 4 stars and a lot of the negative reviews being a long time ago, I figured it was worth a shot. My friend and I went here for gel mani & pedi. First of all, $50 for a gel pedicure seems ridiculous. Maybe I'm just not used to paying that much. But that's my fault for not asking first, I guess. Anyway, toes went okay. Not great by any means, but from afar they'll do. Nails--not even close to okay. Not even close to mediocre, actually. The guy who did them (don't know his name) clearly has no idea what he's doing, and he didn't listen to anything I tried to tell him. The entire time he was filing and shaping my nails, I would point out a really sharp edge or a nail that was clearly lopsided and he just disregarded everything I was saying and told me "we will shape them again after the gel." I've been getting my nails done for years, and I have never had anybody shape them after the gel was already on, but against my better judgment I tried to just give him the benefit of doubt. When he was done, I was told it would be $95 and I almost shit myself. My friend who was there at the exact same time paid $95 but hers included an acrylic overlay plus gel. It doesn't make sense that we would pay the same price when she got the acrylic and I did not, but honestly I just wanted the hell out of there so I paid, knowing I would never be back. When I got to my car, I started looking at my nails a little more closely and I was apalled by how awful they actually looked. There was no way in hell I was paying $45 for that atrocity. The nails were crooked, with some of them having one semi round edge and the other edge being sharp. There is gel all over my cuticles and on my skin, there are bubbles under the top layer of a couple, and smudges on a couple of them, probably because they didn't dry very well due to him layering on the gel so thickly. I went back inside and told them I wanted a refund. I paid for the toes, even though I think $50 is ridiculous, but I got a refund for the nails. I already have an appointment with my regular nail person to fix this mess, but in the meantime I'm stuck with ugliness. I was able to at least go home and file the edges so that they don't look as awful but for the next few days I'm gonna have to avoid looking at my messy hands read more

My sister and I got pedicures for the first time at this shop (and my first professional pedicure since before the pandemic began). We went for the #3 pedicure (the works). Overall, it went well. Joanne gave an excellent pedicure to my sister. Joanne was friendly and able to converse in limited English. Anna did my pedicure. Anna was not able to communicate much in English. She was very diligent in removing callouses (and went a bit too far when she broke the skin on one of the callouses). She was very thorough in trimming nails and cuticles, and she gave an excellent foot and leg massage. I plan to go back here again. read more
