I've been to at least 15 dispensaries since I got my rec about 5 months ago, so I've seen both ends of the quality spectrum. From shady spots in industrial areas to sterile, stuffy places that look more like an Apple Store than a place to get some weed. The Point Loma Patient Consumer Co-op (PLPCC) is definitely at the right end of the spectrum. Here's a few reasons why PLPCC is one of the best dispensaries in San Diego- 1. Easy to find- located near where the 5 and the 8 freeway meet in the Sports Arena area, this spot couldn't be easier to find. No need to trek all the way out to Spring Valley. The area is safe, and you'll never feel like you need to check on your car or worry about someone jacking you on the way out. And if you're lazy or don't have a car, they have free delivery. 2. Great hours- open from 7am-9pm every day, so if you have a "regular" job, you'll have time to go before or after work. Delivery opens one hour later, but also closes at 9pm. 3. Great selection- Their ad states that they have over 875 products for sale. 875!!! I thought that they must be exaggerating, but check their menu on Weedmaps and you'll see it's no joke. Besides their vast selection of top quality flower, they have the best selection of vape products that I've ever seen. And if you're into edibles, they got you covered. 4. FTP and other deals- The FTP gift when I went the first time was an 1/8 of Candy Jack that was so much better than the garbage that many other dispensaries give out for FTPs. Not to complain about free weed, but I've been given some herb before that I wouldn't smoke even if it was the only thing I had left. The also give discounts for students, vets and seniors, in addition to specials on certain strains and other products. 5. Professional service- This place has this shit figured out. The reception area runs like a well oiled machine, and the bud tenders are knowledgeable, courteous and patient. They don't rush you, and are more than happy to answer any questions you might have. So many other places treat their patients like shit, only interested in getting your cash and getting you out the door. Security is courteous and professional too. Not like the goons at some places. In closing, I'd say that you'd be hard pressed to find a better dispensary than PLPCC in San Diego. Sure, there are a few other spots with good flower and good selection, but it's extremely rare to find a spot that excels in every category. I'm sure you could find cheaper places, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. Give this place a try. You'll never need to go anywhere else again. read more

I was a walk-in first time patient a couple of months ago. I didn't know that PLPCC delivered and that I could have done the intake process over the phone and as such I wasted a couple of hours in an overcrowded, hot, stinky, sweaty environment without ventilation. Next I was greated gruffly by security that was curt and grumpy to the point of being offensive. Once I answered his questions he allowed me to pass, but again I was met by the receptionist in curt manner and she never bothered to make eye contact. I answered her questions and gave her what she asked for. After an uncomfortable moment of silence, I asked her what was next, and she said I had to wait to be called. I walked away but turned back because I brought proof of my disability to get the discount added to my membership. The guard stopped me. I told him I forgot my disability paperwork. His simply replied with one word, "no". So, I figured I would just show it when my name was called and looked for room to stand. The guard was chewing me out behind my back, but I didn't realize at first that he was addressing me. I couldn't imagine what I could have done to be addressed in that way. I turned to see what he was going on about. He told me "you can't stand there". I moved to a different place to stand, but he repeated himself without offering an alternative place that was ok for me to be. Since there was literally no room to sit or stand, I asked if there was an intercom or if anyone walks outside to call names but the answer was no. So, I loitered ouside which also made me uncomfortable with the chance of being harassed or robbed, and poked my head in the door every 5 minutes to see if I was called. It took so long my ride left. When my name was finally called, the bud tender was so very nice, patient and helpful that he had me thanking him profusely. The bud tender and the quality (but pricey) medicine are the only reasons why PLPCC didn't get 0 or 1 star on the review. If you have PTSD, anxiety or other conditions, make sure you are extremely well medicated BEFORE going there. BTW, I am an "armed guard" myself, and I have been the doorman at co-ops in Oregon and California. Employees or contracted help need to realize that those of us who come for medical reasons might be in pain, have Psych issues, and such, and we could use a little respect, courtesy and patience. Alot of marketing at this place to make their inflated overpriced products seem reasonable. They say prices include taxes... doesn't include all taxes. They try to bribe you with discounts for good reviews. And of course like other dispensaries give discounts for students, military, maybe an early bird wouldn't doubt it if they dont even do that though. They use the promotions to make them seem reasonably priced. In reality they are at least a few more dollars more expensive then ALL other LEGAL storefronts after all taxes and all garbage promotions. Instead of making me do a bunch of extra work to get a fair price just price the product fair to begin with!!! Black market is thriving because of this stores greed city only gives a few licenses maybe one day an owner will actually use it properly and do good business with his city instead of piss everyone off that lives here for that tourist money. Most annoying part is when they suggest their low grade garbage products as them having affordable options. Give me a break. Even just your grams are like 5$ more then everyone else! You guys changed your prices three times this year alone on just grams from 15 to 18 ($20+ after taxes) then you got enough people to realize your shadiness so you dropped it 16$/gram haha for a month...now you're back at 18$....so ridiculous. MULTIPLE other stores have dropped their prices during this PANDEMIC not RAISE prices!! Dissapointment and an embarrassment to point loma I'm glad you at least changed your name you dont deserve to have this city's name attached to your disappointing store. After 3yrs of being a patron I was bullied and treated like a disposable patient. The day before Thanksgiving I was threatened by security for asking to speak to a manager. To escalate their second security encircled me and the two continued threaten me out of the building and told I could not speak to a manager. Knowing my rights I waited til the morning manager came out, when he did he just watched as I asked for the manager and it wasn't until the 2nd time I said it in his presence did he say he was the manager. I was being asked to leave for not having any shoes because, which I do not were because I am Digambara which is my religion. I told the manager I how long I have been going to Golden State Greens and told him that I have came in before with out being refused service which he told me I was lying. He finally agreed to serve me but asked I wait at the pick up window which is a smaller room adjacent to the main room. I agreed and got my order. I returned later that day to speak to the night manager to make sure that I would not be harassed for my religion practices, and guess what, they refused to come out and see me after they denied my entrance to not only the main room but the pick up window smaller room that I was told by the day manager was okay. This is outdated persecutions of what seems like the homeless. After 3yrs of referring and personal patronage I was disgusted how they would treat fellow humans on the day before Thanksgiving where we presume we are the most humane. I do not recommend Golden State Greens and would advise new customers to look for another dispensary. read more

Honestly golden state greens is my absolute favorite go to place For fronts. This staff numbers are my favorite not to mention they have A plethera of choices. The hours are awesome because I'm an early so the fact that they open up at 7:00 a.m. Is diamond! I happen to be a big time lover of pre rolls because I'm lazy as Hell. The selection of vapes is another big plus because I love me some vapes :) is extensive!! I'm an outco fan thanks to Nick....ooooh wee those are some strong, clean oils. I have an extremely high tolerance and I deal with chronic Pain all day everyday! So when I tell ya all something is strong and worth it hit up outco. They also have these killer batteries that have a longer battery life then my dayum black heart!! They are super discreet because there is no button and literally it spoons your palm hahahahahha!!! I seriously though LOVE THE staff down to earth, friendly, and 95% of the time totally knowledgeable across the board!!!! This is a pretty decent medical marijuana dispensary and it stands out to me as better than most of the dispensaries I've been to. The staff is very professional and friendly. This dispensary has a private parking lot and I manage to get a space every time I've visited. The wait to get in the weed room was only about 5-10 minutes when I went which isn't too bad considering it was pretty crowded. What I liked most is how the place organizes the weed. Strains are carefully organized according to quality. It is very helpful how the strains are labeled with the total percentage of THC concentration which made it very easy for me to quickly identify the most potent sativa available. The bud-tender who was assisting me was also knowledgeable about the different strains and was able to give me information regarding some of the psychological effects of the various strains that I asked about. Be advised, this place only takes cash, but they do have an ATM in the weed room. Overall, it is a great dispensary and I would definitely return again. read more

The team is knowledgeable, friendly, personable, yet stays professional. I know, I sometimes forget I grabbed something and my medical rep is always there to nicely remind me that everything gets bagged by saying "oh, here let me bag that for you so nothing gets lost." I'm a career Financial Analyst and somehow the medicine dispensary team is always calm, patient, and understanding when I'm trying to figure out what is best for me and my medicinal requirements. How can people review this place so positively when they tax near half of what the product costs? THCSD and March and Ash are less than 10min if you want better deals and selection, seriously. Look elsewhere. Then there's the delivery people. PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE. Bought a pre-roll and only went here cause it was closest to us and only wanted one to smoke. We got the one that was $5 off ($12 before taxes). The total ended up being $17 for the one pre-roll that was not even a gram... Almost 42% in taxes... And it was not a very good smoke... Absolutely ridiculous waste of money lol Oh well. That was my fault since I know their pricing is so much. I've been here a handful of times and always feel like I spend too much. Reporting predatory practices in this store. Employees friendly, but not able to clearly explain their billing practices. The store only accepts cash or debit, but does not state this explicitly until you are actually paying. If you pay debit, a fee of $4 is charged to you. When I go to a grocery store and pay with my debit card, the charge is debited directly from my checking account, guaranteed and without any additional fees. That is the difference between using any ATM for that is not your bank vs. using your debit card. I was charged $4 for a $21 purchase, 19% of my bill. For every charge paid via debit card, this business pockets $4! For someone who is on SS, retired or minimum wage, isn't this just shameful predatory practice? I will never go back again...first I had to wait outside,no privacy, and in the hot sun, then one of the guards let us in with attitude, told us WHERE to sit down and gave us a freakin' speech about how we should know what the hell we want in advanced and not to linger too long inside! Easily the best Co-Op in town. They have a wide selection of product from the top shelf, high grade tested strains to hippie grade. Most strains have been tested to label potency and cannibinoid content. They have veterinarian grade CBD oil for dogs with epilepsy and human grade CBD(honestly I think the only difference of human/vet grade is MG dosage). The staff is knowledgeable and well informed. The downside is that the wait time long when you go to the shop. Also, delivery wait is around 2 hours so plan ahead or request a delivery window that suits your needs. It's one of the busiest-if not THE busiest-dispensary in town. I suggest ordering delivery or call ahead for pick up. However, you won't be able to look at your product ahead of time. That said, their products almost never disappoint so looking at your product ahead of time isn't really necessary but it is fun :) read more

I love this place, I have never had a bad costumer service experience every time I have been there. They always go above and beyond for their costumer service and is one of the few places where I can have a transaction and leave happier than when I arrived. Alida (I hope I spelled that right!) is especially super helpful and always makes sure I continue to have the amazing experience this place continues to produce. When I went tonight their systems happened to be down and the wait times became a little longer than usual among a few other difficulties, but everyone there was all constantly working at 200% efficiency while still keeping a smile on their face and making sure everyone else has that amazing customer service I know, and obviously not everyone was happy about this situation but they handled all the unhappy customers like pros! Went here on vacation. Didn't wait very long to be let in. I thought it was pretty convenient that they had an atm in the store(since they only take cash). Anyone who complains about them not taking a credit card probably shouldn't be making a bad review about it. They tell you that before you walk into the store. The bud tender we dealt with was nice and helpful with our needs. He answered all of our questions. They didn't have some stuff we wanted but I can't really blame them. I mean it's not like I called and asked if they had the specifics of what we wanted before we went there. Prices were to be expected for it being what it is and for this store being in California. All in all everyone was kind, the whole atmosphere was pretty chill, and I had a good experience. Oh and the quality of everything was exactly what the bud tender said it was. read more
