Long-time customer of March and Ash--until now. I placed a delivery order at noon for a 6-8 PM window. Got confirmations and tracking, then watched the delivery time get pushed back all night. Right before 8, the tracking link stopped working--and my order just... never showed up. No call, no message, nothing. Customer service conveniently closed at 8, so I had to use chat. After a long wait, they casually told me they were "booked" and couldn't deliver. That was it--no effort to fix it, no accountability. Next morning, I'm told my order was canceled and I need to reorder--except now it's over $30 more. Asked them to honor the original price since this was 100% their mistake, and they refused. Their solution? "Try again Monday." That's not just bad service--that's zero service. Took my business elsewhere and spent more without the hassle. Wow, I didn't think it would get much worse, but that eighth that was $35-40 from 2021-2024, then $50 when I wrote my review in September, is now $65 in December. Everything else in my previous review still stands too. I thought maybe I'd just cut down on how much I was smoking, but this is laughable and I can't continue to justify shopping at March & Ash. ---- They're actively changing all the things that made this my go-to dispensary for the last 4-5 years. I used to LOVE this dispensary and would send anyone there when they needed a recommendation. I've been to most of their locations at some point, but this March & Ash location has been my go-to since it's on the way home from Costco and I'm also in the delivery range. I've spent an embarrassing amount of money here over the years, but now I'm finding it easier to take long, long tolerance breaks with all the changes they've made. Last year they cut the rewards points so you're earning a fraction of what they used to be with every order. Earlier this year they removed tax-free Tuesday, and now sometime in the last few weeks their service fee is now for orders under $50 instead of under $35 if you're getting it delivered. Also, their prices have gone up a lot. For years my favorite brand was $35 or $40 for an eighth; in the last few months it's gone up to $50. I'm guessing sometime last year ownership or management changed and the experience is just getting worse (greed) as time goes on. Every few months (probably quarterly) since I think July last year they've announced some change that's made me use March & Ash less and less. Nothing negative to say about any of the staff I've interacted with at the stores or any of my delivery drivers. Last year, I was told by March and Ash staff (Amber L. and the store manager, July 2024) that I had nearly $300 worth of loyalty points that would never expire. I was even told I'd won a 10,000-point raffle. This month, I planned a trip from Santa Barbara to San Diego based on that info. I confirmed the point balance over the phone and left my own products at home, assuming I'd be covered. When I arrived, they said it was a "mistake" -- over 8,000 points had been silently removed. No warning. No email. No explanation. Just gone. I emailed support twice. No response. It's been over two weeks. I even found the original receipt showing my 9,000+ point balance from last year. I've had bad service before, but this is next-level. Unprofessional at best, deceptive at worst. This isn't how you treat customers, especially people who rely on cannabis for medical needs. I've lost trust, and others should think twice before investing in March and Ash's loyalty system. I'm not posting this to ask for anything. I'm posting because if they can silently erase your points, then ghost you when you ask why: That's a red flag for anyone. Buzz Cannabis just down the road has far better customer service and a more transparent loyalty program. read more

My good friend wanted to go to a dispensary. A little Google and this little gem came up. I had never imagine this is what a dispensary looks like since we came last minute I didn't have a chance to really take any pictures. I also believe you cannot take pictures inside the dispensary. My friend was is well versed in the different types of cannabis products. I got to wander around while he talk to one of the sales people. The sales person seemed to be informative and knew most of the products inside the store. Used to love March and Ash, up until mid 2024 they were pretty much my primary go-to dispensary. Things change though, I didn't change but MnA did. They got rid of reward points, which helped make their upcharge feel a little okay, they increased the min. delivery amount to not be charged up to $50, the deals/ads are non-existent on the website anymore unless they're active. There's no indicator of ongoing sales anymore and you just have to browse i guess. A lot of the other reviews from long time customers seem to get the point across, my biggest issue is with the upcharge after removing so many quality of life features for the consumers.. An 8th of CBX from MnA is $65. It's $45.99 for the same brand, strain, amount at Wellgreens, who still has rewards, advertised upcoming deals and weekly deals. Edit: Today, the day after posting that review, I went back to the site and CBX is no longer on sale and the non-sale price listing changed on MnA's site... When it was on sale, the original pricing was listed at $65 and now that the sale is is no longer there, the regular price dropped to $49. I placed my order at 11:43 a.m. with a scheduled delivery window of 3:00-5:00 p.m. At 3:43 p.m., I received a call from a delivery driver who refused to provide his name, informing me that my address was supposedly outside of the delivery range. He then suggested meeting me at a nearby Target instead. This was extremely disappointing, as it defeats the entire purpose of placing a delivery order. If my address was truly outside of the delivery range, why was I allowed to place the order without being notified immediately? Instead, I was left waiting nearly four hours before being informed. Got rid of No Tax Tuesday (which they removed a bunch of brands from and got more strict anyways) There was no minimum order before and you'd be charged $3.99 if your order total before taxes was $30. Now, the order minimum is $30 and you're charged $3.99 if you don't reach $50 order minimum before taxes. Oh, and unless you spend over $50, your order is no longer delivered ASAP and its whatever is available, which could be upwards of 4 hours. On top of already selling mostly donkey feces weed for high end prices, this is the final nail in the coffin for me. Whats next? I have to deliver 10 orders for you before I can even place an order, with a minimum of $100 and it'll be delivered next day? I can imagine the out of touch group of losers responsible for these changes and the "Screw 'em" attitude you all had. It's never enough for these type. The staff lied and said that they contacted someone on the property and they didn't. This place is nice but also a bit pricey and a little pretentious. Im a very casual and occasional smoker and asked for a bud light of weed pens that was mostly CBD. I was shown a 75% THC blend that would probably put me in another dimension. When I said I didn't want something that strong, the tenders response was "well it's weed so it's all going to get you high". I asked a few questions and she kept saying "sorry friend" but in a way that sounded more like, "I definitely don't give a shit." The place is also cash only and since they didn't have any single-use CBD pens, I had to buy a battery which ended up costing $5 more dollars than the $60 I had already pulled out. So I had to pull out an extra $20, meaning I had to spend $6 extra in withdraw fees just to get the cash to buy the already overpriced pen. Always a great experience here getting QUALITY medicine. Their pickup process for online orders is usually pretty easy and quick but you have to wait in the regular line to check in first which can take some time if it's busy. Sometimes a line goes out the door. This place needs to move to a new location for when it gets busy. They have A LOT of product and not enough space inside it seems like. It can get crowded. They need to figure out the pre-roll display. I am 5'4 and I can't see all the pre-rolls on top and they are constantly restocking things in different locations. Sometimes I just want to browse but they have to open the glass to show you the pre-rolls (only one person at a time) so I can't really browse because there are always other people waiting. Usually the budtender is super helpful whenever I ask though and I've been recommended some amazing products. Sometimes it's just easier online. Their website is super super easy to order from and navigate. That is a BIG plus. They even have the sales on there. Please bring back the 20% discount and 10% loyalty points! read more

I have been a loyal patient at this place for a long time. I mostly order online. I live in the South Bay and when they would deliver out of imperial beach I had no issues. Amazing service. Once they decided to deliver out of mission valley the customer service went out the door. They have cancelled my orders about 8-10 times. Calling me over an hour after order was placed stating they have no drivers or forgot to put my order with the driver. I have spoken to the manager and they always want to offer me 20% discount which is no incentive for the inconvenience at all since I can get that discount if I place the order after hours. Why can't they just stop taking online orders at a specific time so they don't have to cancel peoples orders when they need what they ordered for medicinal reasons. I hate complaining but being a business owner myself this is extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. March and ash you guys need to get this sorted out.
