I've been a loyal customer of Urbn Leaf for years and usually have really good experiences ordering online. Unfortunately, my recent in-store visit completely changed my opinion. At first, everything was going well. The employee helping me, Andrea ( the manager ) was polite and knowledgeable while assisting with an issue involving a previous purchase. I ended up buying additional items, and after checking out I even left a $5 tip because I appreciated the help. The problem started when I asked to use reward points. I was told I didn't have any available, but my partner did. After providing his information, the points were confirmed to be there, but I was told they couldn't be applied because he wasn't physically present. While I understand policies exist, this became frustrating because we share the account and shop there together regularly. At that point, I asked if I could simply return the items I had literally purchased only minutes earlier so I could place the order online instead. I was told there were absolutely no returns allowed, even though the transaction had just happened. I left feeling upset and realized shortly afterward that I had accidentally left my wallet behind. When I returned to retrieve it, I could clearly tell staff were discussing the situation. Feeling frustrated and disappointed with how everything had been handled, I took back the $5 tip I had placed in the jar moments earlier. Andrea then called me a thief in front of others, despite the fact that it was my own money I had just tipped. What makes this especially disappointing is that I've supported this company for years and never expected to be treated this way. One bad interaction can really change how a longtime customer feels, and unfortunately this experience left a very negative impression. read more

Update: Issue has been resolved by Urbn Leaf. My husband bought a "membership" for 75 dollars for six months. The membership includes a free bag once a month. However, there is a lot of miscommunication as to when these bags are ready. Went in once to collect his bag and was told it would be ready closer to Christmas. Miserable experience. They intentionally mislead customers by having more DEALS than their own employees can keep up with. I spent 45 minutes trying to figure out my order just to find out I could have got it cheaper had the bud tender offered the deal. Online deals are different than in store, but the in store menu is their menu on your phone - SHOWING DIFFERENT PRICING. This store is operationally a mess and all they do is SELL SELL SELL. The second you walk in, before you offer your ID, you're bombarded by a vendor trying to hustle their brand. Dude, I'm just trying to walk in the store, take a step back and chill out. I have my MMIC card (issued & registered) with the State of California in SD. In short, I received an email for a special for medical only specials. I called and they said that they can't verify it and need to see it. Um, simply go to https://mmic.cdph.ca.gov/MMIC_Search.aspx and type in MMIC card # on back of ID. Done! The guy in the background seemed too busy to help the girl on the phone, who was great. Off to my 'go to' - Marsch & Ash. Genius, their website has you enter in your MMIC card and it's instantly validated. If you do have an MMIC don't fall for their tax free Tuesday; they mask the 'savings' by marking up the product to make up for waiving the retail tax. Seems shady to me at least. I don't know why this place have a bad review, very professional here. Plenty of selections online easy to use. Value are decent loads of sale, and discounts. I ordered some product online for tomorrow deliver and they give an option on what time is good for them to drop the product off. They also give you a text and phone call to confirm your order and where you live to make sure they got the right addresses. There was a nice young lady that delivered to me super kool and sweet. This is my first bad Yelp review ever. I never ever ever wanted to be this guy. Super sad wanted to support. But they bait and switched and tried to make the consumer feel wrong. Urban has always been overpriced, but convenient I will get them that. I'm not a frequent patron, but I will dabble once in awhile. I bought 1g of stizzy under the impression it was a "disposable" opened the box and it was not. Bummed out I drove all the way back. Only to hear from the manager "well the green boxes are disposable and the white boxes are the blah blah... and YOU SHOULD KNOW FOR FUTURE REFERENCE." Which I thought was shocking considering a good majority of their revenue comes from people on vacation out of state. (Who would know that??) But luckily he sold me two .5 stizzy disposables = 1 gram for a nominal $20 extra dollars. I honestly use weed once in a awhile. However, that was not good business. Please take your business to KLOVER just a mile or two away. Out the door pricing and no BS. All said and done 1 gram of stizzy cost me $100, an hour of my time, and terrible service.
