Any place that gives me a forty percent discount for being a first timer, is a friend of mine. Rolled in here around 6pm on a Wednesday. It was half full with a short wait to get in. They check IDs at the door and have to buzz you in. When you enter, the lay out is in a U-shape with the registers in the middle. Drinks are in the back. Flower on the left hand side. Everything else on the right side. Came for something for my dog, left with gifts to give friends - flower, edibles, bongs, and a drink (orange cream and root beer) for me. I'm not really a fan of cannabis. It feels overly complicated with the amount of strands, flavors and uses. But this place seemed pretty straight forward and every where you turned there was a staff member there to point you in the right direction. I would say though that it felt pricey. Even with the discount I spent 170 bucks. Parking lot is pretty tight and lots of people walking so be vigilant and go slow. read more

What a BAIT AND SWITCH RIPPOFF. I have no idea what's the difference between WELLGREENS and CANNABIST. I see ads for both Names and same address'. It was my first time at this location. What did you do, "CHANGE YOUR NAME TO PROTECT the Guilty. I checked in mentioning my first time visit. The receptionist hands me a 30% off chip. I walk in and was helped by I think was the manager. Very helpful. Unfortunately when I asked for my first time visit 40% off, I was told that "Oh we changed our name so we only give 10%. I than asked what does this 30% off chip mean.? "Oh we don't offer that either". I read on line I was entitled to a 40% discount. ( it still says it online). I was in a hurry so I spent $80 or so. The recent change in management from Cannabist to Wellgreens has been disappointing. Smaller inventory, higher prices, fewer and lower discounts, smaller and less friendly staff. The rewards program is gone and the senior discount has gone from 30% to 10%. The 3 employees were all at cash registers with no one available to consult with customers. The whole vibe has changed from a happy welcoming place to a mediocre self serve retail store. read more

The picture for this review is simple, but it has a story. We use Jayden's Juice for our daughter who has a severe seizure disorder. Medical cannabis has taken her from one seizure an hour, every hour a day, to a 75% decrease. Needless to say, running out of any of it can be extremely damaging to her. We knew we needed to get some more but time got away from us, so I got in my car and drove as fast as I could to Cannabist. I will get to their regular customer service in a moment, but this story started in a parking lot with the security guard. When I pulled up with only two minutes before closing, he didn't just rush me away. He asked what I was coming for. Upon finding out, he immediately sent me to who I believe was his superior. After I told her why I was there, she said, hurry up and park your car. Once I got to the window, they had every reason to tell me to come back, and I would have with no problem, but instead, they listened to me and allowed me in. My daughter will have less seizures tonight because of the incredible people in this place. From their parking lot to behind the counter inside, they are all incredible. As for their regular customer service, I have a lot to say, but I will keep it short. My wife and I both come here for our daughters medicine often, and we both say the same thing every time we walk out. The rest of the world needs to duplicate the customer service that is inside this dispensary. I have never once come across one person that was not personable and knowledgeable. It is not your stereotypical dispensary when it comes to all of the getting high innuendos, it's completely professional in my opinion on every level. When I arrived, I immediately noticed the sunshade for the security team has been removed. Apparently the new owners, Wellgreens, removed it. Why??! Why not keep security staff comfortable. They stand their whole shift. I loved Cannabist, the staff, their help and knowledge always on point. Heads-Up you Potheads! This establishment is giving out Credit Cards (2k 4 me) to buy weed!!! I just got me one 10 minutes ago, so happy! They use TransUnion. Works like a Best Buy, Target, Firestone, etc. only to be used at limited locations in San Diego, LA, etc. I mean it beats a blank, especially when you're light on cash or too far away; btw, no interest for 30 days they mail you the bill in the post, 30 days after the close, you pay zero interest. Otherwise, you're hit for 23.99%. In my humble opinion, this card will get you higher. UPDATE: It's been a week now and all five of my Credit Monitoring Agency ( i.e. CreditKarma, MoneyWise, etc. have NOT reported me opening a new Account or EVEN AN INQUIRY on me!!!! Ever since WellGreens took over this location, they discontinued all the promotions that set Cannabist apart from other dispensaries. I visited bi-weekly to enjoy Wax Wednesday where it was a buy one, get one, for $5. To my surprise and disappointment, that is no longer available. On top of that, the Program they had, which rewarded big spenders, like myself, with points to redeem for credit has completely disappeared. I used to be able to redeem $25-50 worth of credit fairly often, none of my spending habits have changed, and now I get $5 off my $200+ order lmao! The people working there are great; the manager today even allowed my B1G1 discount for the final time, even though it ended 2 weeks ago. Also, why the need to remove price tags from the high priced wax in the fridge??? I dunno man, Long story short, WellGreens has got too greedy for my liking. Taxes on marijuana are already high enough & we know dispensaries make their fair share of profit...to completely disregard the promotions that quite literally brought your customers in the door feels like betrayal. If you want to feel like you've just experienced a back alley bad drug deal, go here! This review is based off of my experience with management and misrepresentation of products on their online website. I had purchased two of the Koa pre rolls adversities as two .7g pre rolls per container for a total weight of 1.4g online. After picking them up and returning home, I was disappointed to find two .345g pre rolls in the package. Essentially meaning a shortage of .7g per package and misrepresentation online. I had called to let them know of the product discrepancy and was connected with the manager. The manager essentially told me that the website does not need to match their products and it's my fault. He proceeded to offer no sort of accountability for the mistake and advised me to drive all the way back to the dispensary to "talk about it". I have been to more dispensaries than I can count, in various states as well. I have never been treated in such an insignificant way. Extremely disappointed in who this location has trusted to run their business. I would highly suggest going to one of the more pleasant and honest dispensaries in the area. Ps.
