Love this salon and my stylist, Sydney Isola! I've been seeing Sydney for a few years now. After struggling to find a stylist experienced in working with fine, blonde hair who could highlight my tresses without making them look orange or gold, I stumbled upon Sydney's Instagram page where she showed her beautiful work. Seeing the photos was all I needed to know to see she could create beautiful blonde hair. I've been loyal to her since. This is a review I've been meaning to do but due to how traumatized I was after going to this salon it's taken me three years to do this. In 2023 I went to get a consult for hair extensions since my hair was short at the time and I was very insecure about it. I put down a $200 deposit for my hair extensions and later when I was going over my bills I realized it was something I could no longer afford. I called the salon and asked for my deposit back but they said they couldn't give it back to me but they could do a service similar in price. I reluctantly agreed since I had no other choice. I was paired with a different stylist (I can't remember her name) and I chose to get my bangs and length cut. Perhaps I should note that I am an Asian woman and in the salon there seemed to be a majority of white hairstylist and white clients. When I sat down in the chair I was really nervous. I didn't want to cut my hair shorter but at the same time I didn't want my money to go to waste. The stylist was immediately unfriendly towards me which I found shocking. In between cutting my hair she would leave me for ten minutes at a time by myself and didn't really talk to me. Then at the end of the haircut she said she wanted to surprise me with the style. She made me look like a clown with my hair sticking two different directions. We walked to the front and the owner came out asking what had happened with my hair. She phrased it differently but clearly had negative feelings towards my appearance. The stylist explained that I had cancelled my hair extensions and cut me off when I tried to speak. Basically she was saying this is what I get for cancelling services. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and thought that at least the owner would do something but she didn't. She just went about her business. The stylist then wanted to take picture of me and I was unsure but she persisted and I finally agreed to take them outside. She took a couple pictures of me and I looked ridiculous. I told her please not to post it anywhere because I was embarrassed. I don't know what she did with the pictures but I hope they didn't circulate anywhere to make fun of me. I felt so anxious I couldn't speak anymore. I was so hurt by my experience and not being respected or heard during my time at this salon. They bullied me for cancelling my extensions and using my deposit for other services. That's the bottom line. And now I finally feel ok enough to talk about it. It really hurt my feelings that much. I will never go back to this salon. Their service was awful. read more
