For those of you reading and are in disbelief...you better believe that Ashlee is the real deal! Before even meeting her, Ashlee was so kind while we corresponded to schedule an appt. She is a very busy woman but found a way to squeeze me in on a cancellation. Upon entering the beautiful salon, I was greeted immediately by her wonderful assistant, Brynn. Brynn put me in a chair right away, offered me something to drink and ensured I was comfortable. When Ashlee came to me, she was warm and sweet and very pregnant! I cant believe that someone due so soon was still working as hard as she is! She came to evaluate the hot mess that was my hair. She heard my complaints and wanted to see what my dream hair looked like. I told her that I wasnt expecting a miracle and to that she replied, "I know you're not but I'm going to try really hard to give you one." Totally warmed my heart! She told me what she wanted to try and do to my hair and even prepped me on what kind of maintenance work we'd need in a few months and an approximate cost if that maintenance. Ashlee and Brynn tag teamed my hair and when it was all said and done, she transformed my hair. My once blotchy scalp, orange blonde was smoothed out to have beautiful transitions and that glowing blonde color I aspired to have. Ashlee worked her magic and gave me a miracle. I thanked her for bringing me back to life because I know I'm not alone when I say that women truly feel how they look a lot of times. She's not the type to do everything as much as possible and try getting you in often to make money but to do what is best for your lifestyle of you want low maintenance. I sent a message back in September requesting a specific color scheme I had in mind. I sent a before picture (of my hair color/ condition) and was given a quote. Upon arrival at the salon 1.5 months later, I was told the color is not achievable. That is fine however being told over the phone would have been nice as I explained in the message I have black hair and sent a picture. She explained everything and was able to change the color of my hair. However it is very dark and the highlights now (2 days later) look gray. The 2 star review is for the texture my hair is now left with. I walked in with extremely soft hair. I now have straw like hair. For the time I invested in this salon I am highly disappointed. I have never had the texture of my hair fry when going darker in color. Not only do I have straw like hair. But I'm not sure why I was treated different than all the other people there. Maybe because I look different? Who knows. Just expect to be judged...... read more

I found Ashlee through yelp and couldn't help but be interested based on all the good reviews on Yelp. We met for a consultation and she was sweet from the moment I met her. On the day of our appointment, I had changed my mind as to what I wanted and she accommodated me very well and gave me her opinions and thoughts based on the picture I showed her. We went with a lob and an ashy blonde, and she made sure all the brasiness that I had was all gone. Throughout the appointment we talked about her kids and what she liked to do on her free time, she made me feel like we were close friends. She definitely knew what she was doing and that made me trust her a lot more since I've had my hair done before and wasn't too happy with the end result. After we were all done, she offered to take pictures of my hair outside so we could see the true color and she even followed up the next day to send me the pictures. Here's an update, My birthday was in October and now it's December, I still haven't received a phone call, voicemail, text message, or email in regards to booking me an appointment. I have Ashlee's phone number saved because texting was her preferred way if contact. I still have all my messages from her, and her last message to me was. "Hi this is Ashlee from Idenitity salon. I am actually at emergency right now! I have a terrible reaction to something I'm my smoothie this morning and my tongue and gums started to swell. I am so sorry! I'll get back to you ASAP" She never got back to me "ASAP" This response on yelp is the first time she reached out to me. I just want to make it clear to everyone that Ashlee didn't not and still has not reached out to me to reschedule. And that I personally think she is flakey when it comes to booking new clients. I love when a professional stylist tells YOU how to accomplish the look you're going for and doesn't expect you to explain. I went to Ashlee and I found her incredibly sweet and accommodating. Unfortunately, we had two different ideas about my hair - although it looked great (I will admit) it wasn't the look I wanted. She was very kind when I reached out to her, and offered to have it re-done. She was very busy though and said she could not re-do it herself, so she would have another stylist. That's where the fun began. The other stylist (I don't remember her name) was this beautiful blonde that was very sweet...but.... the issue was, I wanted the highlights right up to my root, Ashlee had done a different style, a bit further out. I only wanted this stylist to touch up a couple pieces near the front of my face...well...she went to town and re-did all the highlighted, from root to end, with bleach. Then, she put me under the drier....I even asked, won't re-bleaching a piece that was JUST bleached last week make the hair fry? She said, no not at all, we do this all the time....So, after 30 min under the heat, she washed my hair, proceeded to dry it and guess what...it all started melted/flaking off. My hair looked/looks like its layered...the following week the number of people who asked me if I got a haircut was shocking. I have to say, even after over a year later, my hair is still trying to recover. I have not bleached it at all and have tried to minimally color it. In all fairness, Ashlee does do beautiful work, it just wasn't what I had requested. Unfortunately, since she is busy, the person who was supposed to "fix" my hair, just made a huge mess! read more
