I have never felt so disappointed, frustrated, and betrayed by a law firm that I trusted with something as serious as my case. I hired Ryan Davis and his firm because I believed I was hiring attorneys who would fight for me and protect my legal interests. Instead, my experience left me feeling completely abandoned. Communication was extremely difficult, calls and messages went unanswered, and I was repeatedly left wondering what was happening with my own case. Then came what, in my experience, was the most disturbing part: I was told that my case had been settled. Later, the firm dropped me as a client. I was left trying to understand what had happened and what, if anything, had actually been done on my behalf. When I requested my case file, I received what appeared to me to be essentially an empty file. After everything I had been told, I found that deeply concerning and incredibly upsetting. I now have to pick up the pieces, find new legal representation, and pursue an appeal while trying to determine what options I may have regarding my experience with this firm. This isn't just about being unhappy with an attorney. This was my life, my case, my future, and something I trusted them to take seriously. I believe I deserved communication, transparency, accountability, and competent representation. Instead, I walked away feeling ignored, misled, and abandoned when I needed my attorneys most. I am sharing this because I would never want someone else to blindly place their trust in a law firm without doing their homework first. Ask questions. Demand updates. Get everything in writing. Keep copies of every document. And do not be afraid to seek a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. Horrible experience! My consult with Ryan Davis went great, but from the moment I signed the contract it went downhill fast. They filled out court forms with my employer and their address incorrect. They left body parts off my court filings. They filed in the wrong district court. I requested for weeks to speak to Ryan and was ignored. No one answers the main line. Chris was the only person who's email I had and he acts as an impermeable barrier to your attorney. My requests for my case file were ignored. My emails would only have a response to one line item regarding issues. Overall HORRIBLE and I suggest you run the other way. In the two months they had my case they made a huge mess of it. In May of last year they were referred to me through a friend that was experiencing a similar situation regarding workers compensation. So when I called and spoke with Chris the office manager he was very charming and seemed to be very friendly and assured me they would handle my case with care and represent me . That has not been my experience the office is unorganized. I've had delays with receiving updates about my case . I've had to call and email for status updates . I was at first speaking with Tino who would take weeks to call back and it would take extended periods of time to respond to emails I'm guessing he's no longer with the firm as i haven't seen any correspondence from him and he's no longer CC'd in emails . But if you are looking for a lawyer or firm to represent you in your workers compensation case please choose another firm . My calls began getting screened so I would have to call blocking my caller ID or from another phone to get them to answer my calls . You always speak to someone new and they can never answer your detailed questions accurately you ask for a call back and they tell you they will but the return call rarely happens. You usually have to call back to get things sorted out . A week ago I spoke with a woman over the phone Aaliyah who said she'd have Royce call me back as he was in meeting 3 days later still no callback . So once again I'm having to call to follow up Aaliyah answers the phone again unable to answer my questions the phone call escalates and she hangs up in my face which is very unprofessional. I followed up with an email to Ryan , Robert & Chris . Chris then follows up with a phone call with his usual tactics of dancing around my concerns with light banter which at this point is insulting as I've been unhappy with my representation for quite some time . You'll see Chris has a way of not directly addressing concerns but rather spewing a bunch of legal rhetoric when you express disdain. Once I write an email to formally start documenting my ongoing concerns with representation along with letting them know I did plan on filing a complaint with the Ca bar association they decided to withdraw from my case instead of taking accountability and addressing my concerns . I was responded to with defensive emails instead of accountability. If your not into harassing and baby sitting this isn't a firm you'd want to represent you . As we know the process of dealing with workers comp is frustrating in itself having a firm represent you that's lacking makes things even more stressful . read more

So here I am again writing to hopefully warn anyone who is going to get help from this Law firm, so four years ago I was injured at work my lower back and knee and this firm showed alot of interest at first but all in between I was only able to get medical help for my back they never addressed my knee, I am so frustrated with them that recently just to get rid of them I signed an agreement and I am suppose to get $18000 and they get 18% of that , I signed last month thinking good I'm rid of them well the other day i received a letter from the state of California saying my QME was not submitted with the payer work that they submitted to the state‍ so now here I am waiting on them again. This firm is a big joke, please be careful not to choose them. All the reviews are old reviews and they even have Royce and Chris writing reviews for them . I'm s sad sad firm. Honestly, they are just a high-volume firm that doesn't really care about the details of your case. During the height of my case, the person who onboarded me was so kind, and now I feel like I was sort of preyed upon when I was vulnerable. I contacted them during the peak of my case, and the same person who onboarded me was very kind, but now I feel like I was exploited when I was vulnerable. They don't respond for weeks on end and never give you any information. I've had to ask multiple times just to get a call back. When the person missed the call and I called the office, the receptionist laughed and said, "Oh, that sounds just like what's his name..." Not fun. I regret to say that my experience with Golden State Workers' Compensation has been extremely disappointing. It has now been nearly two years, and not only has my case made little to no progress, but the lack of communication and support has been incredibly frustrating. They will ignore calls and emails. I started to be proactive in my own case and was given updates about the progress I made to my employer's insurance, which was not theirs. After initial contact, communication essentially dropped off. It became nearly impossible to get meaningful updates or assistance. When I did manage to speak with someone, specifically Tino, I found him to be condescending and dismissive. Rather than listening to the full scope of my case, he frequently interrupted and repeated information I was already well aware of--providing no new insights or help. He also made claims about being proactive and handling matters behind the scenes, yet I saw no evidence of that. They keep saying they need a supplemental report, which needs to be completed within 30-90 days. However, it's been a year since my QME. What's most troubling is the complete lack of empathy shown. If you're dealing with a work-related injury and looking for someone to advocate for you, this firm does not appear to be invested in truly helping or understanding the emotional and physical toll involved. I just got off the phone with Tino, and while I am trying to tell him everything that is going on in my case, he is speaking over me. Once I asked to be dismissed, so I could sign on with a new law firm, he stated, " I told you I would follow up today." Well, that was also said months ago in June. I just want to be done with this case and their staff. I would not recommend Golden State Workers' Compensation to anyone seeking reliable, respectful, and compassionate representation. SCAMMERS!! I am writing to formally dispute and express my concern regarding a lien filed by Golden State Workers Comp following your voluntary withdrawal as my legal representation. After signing a contingency fee agreement with your office for assistance with a claim against my employer, communication ceased. Despite repeated attempts, my calls went unanswered until I finally received a call back. Upon expressing concerns about your lack of responsiveness, your office unilaterally relieved itself as my counsel. At no point was any substantive legal work completed on my case. Shortly thereafter, I retained new counsel who has been consistently responsive and effective. However, I was surprised and disturbed to receive a "Notice and Request for Allowance of Lien" from your office. As per our agreement, compensation was to be contingent upon a successful resolution of my case through your representation which you abandoned. Filing a lien under these circumstances is not only unjustified but constitutes fraudulent and unethical conduct. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and submitted a police report regarding this matter. I request immediate withdrawal of the lien and written confirmation of the same.
