This is a small easily missed restaurant just on the edge of the strip in Selinsgrove. We arrived…read moreand were greeted and could sit were we wanted. There are only maybe a dozen tables here so while it was not busy when we arrived, each table was occupied by the time we left. It was very clean and warm. Music was not to loud which is a plus for a smaller dinning room. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. Salsa was spot on. We had the nachos for the appetizer, and the smothered. Burrito and birra burrito for our meals. The nachos were delicious, and in my opinion were a stand out against nachos ordered elsewhere. They were just stacked high and condiments dumped on top. The cheese and sauces were layed out and almost all the chips had been covered. They were delicious and very fresh, nothing was globbed on, it was well dispersed. Only down side was the jalapeño on the dish- there were alot of seeds making some areas very very very hot. That might be a plus for others. The smothered burrito was much bigger then expected and well made. Sauces on top and garnice on the side put the flavors together well. The Birra burrito was one of the best I had. Meat was delicious without being a drippy mess, the cheese again was a good portion to complment the meat without over powering the dish. I will say the only down side to this place is it is small, so it was very busy by the time we left. We got out To go box, and then the waitress took nearly 20 minutes to get us the check. Again I understand they are small business and got busy but if you do eat here be understanding that it might take longer due to this.

Next the Clams Casino, which I only ordered one because I got the steamers but I would highly recommend get 2+ because they were really good. Next we got the crab cakes and they were super tasty and had tons of meaty crab. Highly recommend the place due to the energy and overall casual but modern ambiance, food and staff.

Im giving it 3 stars because ive had 4 star meals here. Not last trip…read more Date night with my breathtaking girlfriend. We got calamari which we usually both love. This one just didn't hit.. fried with jalapeños witch seemed alittle odd and the marinara to dip in was very thick My girlfriend got the bogo chicken sandwich and she enjoyed it. I got Caesar salad with anchovies which was simple but good and french onion soup First french onion soup that came out was clearly burnt and my girlfriend said i hope your sending that back ( which i can not tell you the last time we sent anything back ... like ever) The waiter said yhea it looked burnt i was hoping you were a burnt cheese fan. Correct i was not a burnt cheese fan. The second soup came out quickly i mind you and was toasted much less. Good call since i just got one really dark. This soup was uneatable. It was beyond salty. I had my girlfriend try it and she agreed. We sent this back too and just said im good. The waiter did take the soup of the bill and gave us a free bongo dip for a future trip in the next 90 days. Which we gave as a present to the kids grandparents that were making date night happen Id go here again because generally i have a good experience here... but it might be awhile

Don't bother trying to order online. When I finally figured out how the online system worked, I…read morewent through the entire order with the automated system. After the entire order was complete, they said they couldn't connect with the restaurant. Somehow they managed to magically put me through to a live person at the restaurant, who was very nice. After going through the entire order again (except for the Cuban sandwich, which the computer told me they didn't have), they asked how I wanted to pay, which I said cash. They said they couldn't do that for a phone order, so I gave up. All in all 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Perhaps they could have said upfront they don't do cash for online orders?

One Star: Mother's Day Mistake…read more We should've taken the hint when every other sit-down restaurant had a waitlist on Mother's Day -- and McAlister's Deli looked like a ghost town. Turns out, we didn't stumble on a hidden gem; we wandered into the culinary equivalent of a trap. The "loaded nachos" were only loaded in the sense that someone accidentally dropped a can of dog food on some stale chips and called it a day. The chili-flavored meat product (and I use that term generously) was clearly reheated -- probably several times -- and tasted like regret. The sandwiches? Let's just say they looked nothing like the pictures, unless the pictures were taken in a parallel universe where ingredients are fresh and sandwiches have dignity. Ours were flat, sad, and suspiciously cold -- kind of like the service. For the price, I expected at least one item to resemble real food. Instead, we paid sit-down prices for drive-thru disappointment. First time here... and definitely the last.
