Water damage resulting from incarceration delay in job start passed to me as additional expense. Amount charged was ridiculously expensive because REQUIRED 50% upfront payment for initial job was long gone. They experienced one disaster to another often requesting advances from their final payment. In an attempt to help them out I gave them additional work that they have yet to complete. Two contractors who are currently working on my other projects POINTED OUT HOW SLOPPY THEIR PAINT JOB WAS AND HAVE OFFERED TO CORRECT THEIR WORK! THEY STILL OWE ME $1,500. I strongly advise against hiring this company. They rarely arrived before noon and HAD TO LEAVE BY 3pm because of their special needs children. We went with them because Mark Sharpe, our Project Manager was very inclusive with the estimate. All colors could be changed and he was very detailed in what he thought we needed in wood rot repair. To us, it seemed like the other estimates had wide variances in what could be added during the project. A couple of things did come up throughout the project that were impossible to see high up on the house and he kept up communication, showed us pictures and explained what we needed in great detail. The team worked diligently, they were polite, the products used were very high quality and you can tell they take great pride in their work. One of the leads, Jeffrey made sure we were happy before they left and Mark followed up to make sure we were happy as well. I am still waiting for him to finish the job. He showed up on time did the initial work of securing the loose shutter to the home and reapplying the one that had fallen... within one week or so one of the shutters began to come loose already. Meanwhile, I had paid him on time immediately after he contacted me letting me know that the job was complete with a picture. I sent him payment via Zelle. A week later that shutter is now loose and I am trying to contact him to get him to come back out and complete the job that I had paid him for. it took many weeks of texting and cajoling him via iMessage to try and get him to come back out and do the work. He would constantly send me messages saying that he would respond back with a time that he would be able to come out and resolve the issue. he never did. What would happen is I would have to contact him after several days till week to find out if there were any updates and then I would wait days to hear back from him. At one point he did claim to have come back out to the house and fix the shutter work that was not done correctly during his first visit. I mistakenly believed him... Because he said that he had done the work and sent a picture. That very same week the tenant that lives at my property contacted me to let me know that the shutter was still askew and hanging off of the house. Now, I don't know if he actually did the work or if he did such a poor job again that the shutter immediately fell off the house, within a day or two of him having claimed to have fixed the issue. So the original work was done in July and this is probably now mid to late August. I'll go back-and-forth with him trying to get him to come out and do the work, and do a good job with finality that lasts more than several days. Anyhow, I contacted him after being informed the shutter was still falling off the house... And it is now late September and I am still messaging him And he is still responding that he will go back out and fix it or that he will let me know when he will be able to make it back out to my place... And that was days ago. If you're going to do business with this person, I would suggest you get some kind of work guarantee because the work was very shoddy and the customer service has been poor. I paid this guy immediately after he informed me the work was done and within days the work was falling apart. It is now been two months of me trying to text him and Kajol him into coming back out and fixing this issue once and for all. Unfortunately I hired him via Thumbtack app and there is no recourse for me because I paid him in cash electronically via Zelle. At this point I am just out of $180 which is what he charge me to install a shutter that had fallen and to secure another one that was loose. I would not hire this person again. Their work is poor, and their customer service is even worse. All I ever receive so far is empty promises and a wasted $180. I recommend you not hire this person for any handyman work unless you can pay him via credit card or some other avenue that afford you recourse if the job is not done as expected or the quality is short-lived. I wish I hadn't also left him a positive review on thumbtack before his work quite literally fell apart days later.

When he showed up for the job, he was punctual, cordial, and professional. I needed to replace a ceiling fan on a high, sloped ceiling. Not having the equipment needed, Snappy Renovation, to the rescue! Not only did Snappy Renovation complete the job, they did it very patiently. Through old age and woodpeckers, there were several pieces of wood and siding that need replacing and painting. I will attach a photo to show you our chimney but as you can see, it is pretty high and the ground is not level. I was concerned....but the workers reassured me that they got this. And they did. We still felt compelled to offer up our prayers for their safety...thank you, Lord. Secondly, because we asked them to seal/stain our deck, they first had to pressure wash it. They did a fabulous job doing that as well....and not everyone you inquire about wants to pressure wash a deck. But SMS did it and did it well indeed. The team was very efficient and professional and they did an amazing job. I was surprised to see they even painted my gutters and downspouts. I have a brand new house. They quoted 3-4 days and finished in 3. There were 2 items below the line on the quote that were options and we ended up doing both items, and it cost less than the estimate for those 2 items.
