The staff have been helpful when I've accidentally touched in before topping up my Oyster Card. There's also a tiny newsagent selling food, drinks, magazines & newspapers. Beware if it's early morning rush hour you may get a grumpy tube goer who pushes their way through to pay for their newspaper. I've been knocked into several times. The staff here have never been annoyed when I've given them a £20 note first thing in the morning for a bottle of water. There is a free withdrawal cash machine just inside the station. It has on occasion run out of money or £10 notes. There are 4 lifts taking you to & from the platform. The only issue I have with Hampstead Station is that early morning the coal/rubble trains go through so it doesn't have the freshest of air.

Anyway, yeah, it's a fairly typical station in Inner London, though it seems that it is on the subsurface tube (which no doubt was actually built before this area was built up). The station is a perfect spot to change between a Metropolitan and Jubilee line service - South…read morebound or north bound. The services come to adjacent platform and one can literally jump onto your connecting service. The station is standard and nothing exceptional but is an important interchange for many commuters from Northwest travelling to / from Canary Wharf or London Bridge as part of their daily commute. This is also the first stop for the morning southbound peak time services after Harrow-on-the-hill. The Finchley and Frognal station is a 10 min walk away if you wish to get into an overground service. However, you need to swipe out and swipe in. Almost forgot, this is where the 'underground' really starts and the southbound trains get into the tunnels causing phone connections to terminate. This is where most of the commuters get back on their phones on the way back from work In the evening, you can see literally everyone taking out their phone when the train reaches Finchley Road.

Wembley Park is rocking on a match day or for a concert, and then on other days it's slow and sleepy and serves a little windswept community of middle-income Northwest Linden. Match days are when it comes alive and I love it here at both times. It's amazing although I really really miss the old school Wembley, which I was thrilled to visit a very long time ago when I was a very young child by myself - but don't tell my parents - to see a Michael Jackson concert.

The staff are always polite even if sometimes the gate is closed and I can't spy them in the station. There is a small coffee shop outside the main entrance but it's not big as most people wait and walk the few minutes to Brent Cross. Not a bad station if I say so myself.

It's a short (null) list because the only times I get to Camden Town Tube are to change from one branch to the other. Exiting a perfectly good Northern Line train so that I can stand on a platform and wait for one that's actually taking the branch I want. It seems that every time I want the Edgware Branch, the trains are all for High Barnett. Or if I want High Barnet branch, well, you get the point. It's easy enough to switch from one to the other and I do have to admit that they've gotten the signage right so the tourists don't spin in circles trying to figure it out. What's the deal with exit only on weekends? I mean, WHY?

Overview: a beautiful station, very big and can be confusing, many stores and food options…read more ---- I stayed a hostel 5 minutes away by walking and this station was so convenient. The architecture was so beautiful at any time of the day. The inside being quite beautiful as well, especially when you walk upstairs overlooking the Eurostar trains and see a couple different statues there. My favorite was the large one of the couple embracing. Platform 9 3/4 is located in this station, for Harry Potter fans, the cart is available during the day to take a picture with for a price, but after hours they remove it and you can still take pics and videos with it! During my stay they had free ice cream outside the station that was super yummy and a nice little treat to have before heading out in my way to the trains. Inside the station are lots of places to eat and has cheap, convenient food spots like Greggs, and nicer sit-down places as well. It can be a bit tough navigating through the station because it's so big (especially when using maps and trying to find places like restaurants inside of the station) but for the train areas just follow the signs and it's pretty self explanatory. They even have a piano for people to play for fun which was cool to see and hear. Scanning in and out of the station is also easy because all you need is a credit/debit card and you don't even need to purchase a ticket which is so much more convenient compared to places in the US or France. ---- Overall: a great station to stay near and to go to, easy-ish to navigate and lots of places to eat at, very beautiful station as well
