I took advantage of the free trial and I'm glad I did, because we will not be returning unfortunately. I'll start with the positives first, my 5 year old son looked like he had a good time. It was one swim instructor to about 3 children, and one by one she dealt with them, talking to them, while the others watched. He received googles during his time in the water, and overall looked like he was having a good experience. My 3 year old daughter on the other hand... was put in a lane that had two swim instructors, and four toddlers. Upon having both my children enter the water, I let the instructors know this was their very first time. My daughter's instructor asked me if it would be okay to dunk her which I appreciated, and I said if she is comfortable. That was all the positives for my daughter's experience. The two instructors talked to themselves the ENTIRE time. I do have all of this on video. I did not see my daughter receive any instruction. My daughter is very smart, and very brave, she watched what the other children were doing and copied them, but absolutely no instruction was given to her. Mind you, I'm sitting right in the front watching the whole thing!! You would think they would try just a smidge harder. Again, all of this is on video. When it came down to the dunking, my daughter was asked if she was okay going under, she said no. The instructor proceeded to dump water on her head, no explanation, no warning. My daughter was very confused, but she remained calm and kept wiping the water out her eyes. I'm so disappointed. Additionally, the other 5/6 swim instructors that did not have a class were talking so loudly amongst themselves, it was a very uncomfortable environment. Such a shame. I give an additional star only because my son's instructor was doing what she was supposed to do.

FACILITY: The new location is large, bright and very clean. There is a large sitting area for parents/siblings to relax, wait, or clearly watch the class in session. The mats where the karate magic happens are spotless. PROFESSIONALISM: Mr. E and Mrs. E are very professional and accommodating. Classes/prices were fully explained and very reasonably priced. Class times are accessible and reach a variety of skills and levels. CLASS: Mrs. E and an assistant teach various levels of karate classes. They began with a creed which is about teamwork and respect towards family. Perfect for my son! They then warm up with karate exercises. As the whole class continues, skills were taught at an age appropriate speed with instructors assisting kids' movements. The class was gets divided into groups for rotations to practice various skills. After rotations, the children are divided into ability levels so the instructors can differentiate their teaching. The instructors are very attentive to students who may need more direction or assistance with the basics. Class ends as a whole group, reviewing what was done that session and by restating the creed. All students are taught to thank their parents and then they are given rewards for their behavior and efforts in class. This is all very similar to the adult kickboxing classes, just picture it with women of all ages and skill levels. OVERALL: As a teacher and mother, I was extremely impressed with the preparation involved to ensure all students' needs were met. The delivery of instruction was clear, and each child's activity was closely monitored for accuracy. Activities were designed to meet the needs of many learners and skill levels while still engaging everyone. The instructors were well prepared, knowledgeable and had a great rapport with the children. All kids were positively reinforced for good behavior and efforts and loved the "kicks" and sticker rewards at the end. THANK YOU!!!! My son walked away from class excited and motivated. He came home to set up a "karate studio" in the living room to teach his younger brother "the basics". Even after attending for over a year, I've never seen him so excited about an extracurricular activity! I'm also thrilled at the karate/home/school connection of earning stars for chores, homework completion, good school reports, and great behavior. The young girl who was the instructor was awesome. She was very engaging with the babies and patient with the parents. I love that they work to condition the babies to water being poured on their head. And there's plenty of time to sit on floaties and play with cool toys. I appreciated that Even though my husband was in the pool, I was able to get good footage of him and my son, especially since this was our first time visiting. Most staff members are very young, initially it was a little off putting but everyone was pleasant. Blow dryers came in handy when drying my little ones hair since he was freezing when he got out the pool. Definitely looking forward to our next lesson

Master Zohar has created an amazing program. He life lessons along with the Tae Kwon Do trainings into each class not to mention a lot of fun and humor. We have noticed a drastic difference in his confidence since he has started the Master Zohar. He has used the lesson on dealing with bullies at school to easily defuse situations. In this period of home quarantine Master Zohar created Classes for the students to do through video conference so everyone could train at home. He could have just closed up shop but he wanted to make sure everyone kept up with their training. Master Zohar really seems to care about each and every student and gives them what they need when they need it. Not to mention that he knows every students name with out even thinking. (I am writing this as an adult who wants to learn martial arts...) I wanted to take some…read moreself-defense class, and left messages with several places. This is the only place that called me back immediately, which was a good sign. I said I never did martial arts before and would like to learn with other adults. They asked me to come in for a trial class. When I got there, there were 3 teenagers and 2 other adults, 1 man and 1 woman. The woman only just started, so I thought this was a good start. The opening exercises were good, 100 jumping jacks and some very tough moves, but since I work out frequently, I actually liked the intensity. We then learned some defense moves that I liked also. But then we had to practice these moves with each other. When it was I against the woman, it was fine b/c we both were learning. Then it was the man sparring with the other woman, and it seemed like he's been there for a while, so he did it slowly and showed her the moves. I was thinking, this wasn't too bad. Then it was my turn to spar with him, and I was shocked when he went into attack mode! I kid you not. He pulled and twisted my wrists and pretended to hit me. Unfortunately, we had to do this a dozen times. My wrists and arms started to hurt because he was pulling so hard. Then we were told to add a move where we pretended to push the other person away, and he really pushed me to the point that I had to take several steps back to avoid falling. I had previously boxed before, but that was years ago, and usually against boxing bags or sparring with instructors with pads. So the next time we sparred, I came close to giving him full-blown upper cuts but stopped short, and decided to just block him instead. (I was taught to respect my elderlies, and he was probably 15 years older.) He said with a smirk, "Oh, are you afraid of me?" I said, "No, but I didn't expect to have to fight someone for real in my first class." (In my mind, I was like bring it on, a55h01e!) I may have gotten injured if I was a true beginner. Needless to say, I am never going back. I think they really should separate the beginners from overzealous and overeager showoffs.
