My hubby and I stopped into this adorable classic candy shop while shopping in Manitou Springs. This place has all of the retro nostalgic candies - even candy cigarettes! Manny was so sweet - he greeted us and offered us samples of their house made fudge, including a jalapeño fudge! Everything was delicious, but we ultimately decided on the dulce de leche and vanilla, as well as a toffee bar and a turtle. Stop by and see Manny and splurge on a yummy treat - you won't be disappointed! ETA: after enjoying the toffee bar, a few bites at a time, over several days - my husband and I both agree that this was possibly best toffee bar we've ever had!!! read more

went to monument Colorado for vacation was taken to manitou springs for a day at the spa after that walked the little town and found Goldmines candy store fell in love with the blackberry gummy's but can't find them anywhere here where I live please help I would love to order them for myself !!! read more

This is a quaint little shop In Manitou Springs. They have some throw back candies and some great options for bulk candy. They also have warm nuts and fudge also. If you want a quick sweet snack this is a good place to stop. read more

Delicious fudge. Probably the best home made fudge I've ever had. Very friendly guys working behind the counter. They will let you sample their different types of fudge. Go ahead and sample the habanero fudge. Lol. Very spicy, not of fan of that one! read more

Amazing place. Stopped in and got a slice of rocky road fudge and upon tasting, immediately regretted not getting more because it is AMAZING. I also got a bag of 4 different gummy candies from their bulk bins and all were soft and fresh. You can tell their products are well cared for and not left in the bins too long. Prices are fair and staff is friendly! Lots and lots of different sweets to choose from, from old school candies to bins of saltwater taffy. Highly recommend this place! read more

We buy candy and fudge pretty much every time we travel. This shop has the best fudge we have ever tried! The employees (Deborah and Steve) are some of the nicest shopkeepers we have encountered! So happy to have come agreed this shop!! We ended up buying fudge, caramel apples, and random chocolates and everything is delicious!!! read more

Walked in on a whim and the guy behind the counter was belting out "her name is Rio" to the Duran Duran song, smiled big, and started laughing. We were sold. The other guy behind the fudge counter was fun too. We told him we had just ate and he said "it's okay, it's just a little fudge" and started handing us samples....we bought a pound! It was all good, especially the salted caramel dark chocolate and the rocky road. We will go back! read more

Ok. I have a confession to make. I'm addicted to licorice. Licorice root, anise, fennel, star anise, all the above. And there's only one place I get my fix on - Goldminers in Manitou Springs. Everywhere else is: buy this bag with artificial flavoring, buy this bag of mass produced Aussie licorice, buy this box with a cute Panda Bear (ok, they're alright). But Goldminers has an entire make your licorice mix of 20+ varieties from all over the world ranging in softness, saltiness, sweetness, herbal tones, and shapes. For $8.99/lb. You like your's double salted? They got it. You like unraveling licorice pinwheels? They're your's. You like your licorice with some caramel in between? Done. And if you're not sure about what you want, they allow licorice samples. And they have so much homemade fudge made by the owner's brother. Fudge samples too. Are you tempted yet? Regardless, this is the #1 place I have found for licorice in Colorado and all my other travels. read more

Two words: Tiger Butter. This is my favorite fudge EVER so I almost squealed with delight when I saw it. We bought a pound along with some chocolate covered twizzlers. The woman that helped us was very nice (I didn't catch her name). We enjoyed everything so much, we came into town again for a second pound of fudge & more twizzlers. This time we spoke with Manny about shipping of the fudge & he was so nice and said definitely give him a call ahead of time if we'd like Tiger Butter shipped because he doesn't always have it on the line. We're from Chicago, so we don't have the ability to stop in whenever we'd like. But, I love that we have the option of supporting a small business from afar. We'll definitely be placing an order in the future to have some delicious fudge shipped to our home. read more

If you are in the area, YOU HAVE TO GO HERE TO GET FUDGE. This is an extremely strong suggestion!! The owner's name is Manny and he makes the fudge every day. He's extremely hard-working and loves making fudge, candy, nuts, literally everything in his glass displays. He let me and my friends come into his store even after he closed and gave us so many samples. Of course, we ended up buying a lot of fudge just because it was so amazing. His seasonal fudge was Irish coffee, which is one of the ones that we got, and it was on the sweeter side, but it truly tasted like Irish coffee. If you love chocolate and peanut butter, you have to get that one because it is amazing and not as sweet. Also, he makes this orange creamsicle fudge, which sounds weird at first, but it actually tastes exactly like creamsicle!! I really was a kid in a candy store here, but everything tastes so good. He doesn't rely on people's love of sugar to sell his products, he relies on quality fudge. It's not so sweet that it drowns out every other flavor and if it's labeled as a certain flavor, it's going to taste like that. Side note: his candied almonds are also really good and he makes them right next to the counter, so they are extremely fresh. Enjoy your sweets!! read more

Located in the cute town of Manitou Springs ... We stopped in the Goldminers Nuts & Candy Store as we walked through town .. was greeted happily by a nice , friendly gentleman and he asked if we wanted a sample of their Homemade Fudge ....so many flavors from Sea salt caramel chocolate ( our favorite ) cookies and cream , peanut butter and chocolate , amaretto swirl with chocolate , chocolate and the list goes on and on ...... owned by a family two brothers and his wife ... so friendly and helpful .... highly recommend shopping there if you're searching for delicious home made fudge ..... I purchased some for my trip home and been getting rave reviews about the fudge from my Co - workers and there asking where I got it from . Well I'm sure glad they added the "& Candy" to their title or this would be a whole 'nother review. This quaint little candy parlor features eight different trypes of fudge, from the traditonal rocky road to the more exotic raspberry swirl. They were making jalapeno peanut brittle when I arrived! They also carry oddity old time packaged candy of yore, like "Zots", one of my favorites. The owners, Manny and Leslie, are really friendly and its just a charming place to indulge your sweet tooth. read more

Incredibly friendly staff. Adorable shop. Stopped and bought some jalapeño fudge (a must try if you like spice and chocolate. Addicting!), chocolate pretzel sticks, and roasted almonds- "sugar nuts" lmao. We will be back again to treat ourselves soon. Left the store laughing and smiling about our conversations with the two friendly shop guys and with our bag full of goodies to snack on in the hotel. Never have I seen/tried so many varieties of licorice. I must admit, they weren't all too my liking (some too chewy, some way too salty), but I was happy to try and discover some new favorites. I also sampled some fudge and especially enjoyed the cinnamon roll flavor. Plentiful offerings and samples make for a good candy store in my book. read more

The woman working here was very sweet and let us sample a few products before committing to one. The fudge we got was caramel butterscotch and german chocolate. They were homemade and light and melted in our mouths with each bite. read more

I live in Denver, but any time I'm in Manitou I HAVE to stop in for some AMAZING fudge from Goldminers! They really do have the best fudge anywhere. The owner is so nice and is always ready to hand you a sample of his DELICIOUS treats. They also have the freshest taffy I've ever found! Keep up the good work! read more

My dad and I are from Maryland (my dad is originally from Colorado) and we decided to go in this store last minute. I sampled a few pieces of fudge and I liked them all, but I went with the salted nut roll, it's to die for. My dad, plain old peanut butter. Both delicious. We walked around to see what else we liked. The whole time, I'm assuming the owner, was talking to us. Inquiring about our favorite things, asking us about our visit, just making sure we had the best experience. I had visited Manitou in the past, but I don't remember stopping in all the little shops. This personable experience is what lead me to this review. I'll definitely be back. read more

We were trying to recover from the physical indignity of ascending a mountain high enough that oxygen was treated as a luxury commodity. The government of Colorado apparently believes that every settlement in the entire state requires an abundant supply of frozen dairy. If true, this is an enlightened public policy. The shop was completely empty when we arrived. A lone young man stood behind the counter because his coworker was on break. He did not look at us with the despair usually reserved for a sudden crowd. He simply smiled and began scooping with the enthusiastic efficiency of a soldier waiting for reinforcements. I purchased a double scoop containing Salted Peanut Butter Cup and a flavor called Moose on the Loose. The second flavor contained enormous chunks of fudge that were buried deep within the cream like forgotten treasure. It was exactly the sort of heavy molecular fuel a human body requires after arguing with a giant rock. There was also a glass cooler filled with vintage sodas. Nostalgia routinely robs my wallet before my intellect can mount a defense. I purchased an RC Cola and spent ten minutes explaining to the members of our group born in the 90's that there was a time in human history when cola came in more than two respectable varieties. The ice cream was excellent and my history lesson was free. If you find yourself in Manitou Springs with tired lungs, you could do a great deal worse.

The flavor profiles weren't too sweet but were plenty flavorful -- you could actually taste the coconut in one and the huckleberry in the other. Everything came together really nicely. It's a walk-up counter with some seating inside, though most of the tables were full when we came through. They have pastries and other things we didn't try. Service was quick and friendly, and the cost wasn't bad at all. If you're looking for specialty coffee in Manitou Springs, I'd hit up The Loft. Would recommend, and would return.

I got a matcha latte and added pistachio to it - so good! They have many different flavors you can add to any drink that you choose so there's a lot of different variations you could do! We also got the bread pudding as a little treat. It was vegan - and I'm not a vegan but it was really good. They have other vegan options there which is nice for anyone with dietary restrictions. I thought I should note that I went here one time before and got a bagel sandwich which was super good! I forgot to take a picture that time but thought it was worth noting that they had good breakfast and bagels. I would definitely go back for breakfast when I'm in the area again!

I have been on the hunt for genuine…read moreeast coast pizza, not thick crust, not greasy, just the New York style, thin crust so it flops when you pick it up and you have to fold it, well-seasoned tomato sauce and cheese. I had given up - hey I know I moved to a state that's not east coast and I just figured pizza was one of those things I'll have to miss. Not anymore - I found the genuine New York slices as this location today. We had great service and were served quickly, and the garlic knots were also legit. We will def be back and we were going to return and order an entire pie to go so I could stash it in our freezer - but we ended up having a family emergency and having to leave Manitou. But we will definitely, definitely be back!

The guy behind the counter was busy taking orders, prepping orders, and serving orders. There was both inside seating and a nice patio overlooking the creek.
