Don't let the hipsters bash you away from this place! I have a daycare and give the kids candy when they potty instead of use their diaper, so I decided to stop buying candy at Walgreens and support a local candy shop! The turtles are amazing! The nonpareils are perfect for rewarding the kiddos! Their home made caramel is so buttery and delicious, it taste like maw maw made it I don't care for ice cream so I didn't try it and the SALTWATER TAFFY was buy a pound get a pound free! We had a four star experience here. From their friendly male staff to their soft serve and their caramel popcorn. I gather that for a touristy place like Manitou you will pay a bit extra for their goods. It's nothing outrageous. Although it was almost $8 for two soft serves. It's definitely piled high though! And it was creamy.They seem busy. Long lines when we passed them on the way to lunch and then again after us. Tip: Minimum amount to spend if you're using a credit card is $10. My family and I were in Manitou Springs and knew based off of other reviews that we had to go to Patsy's for funnel cakes. First, we went to the candy store for chocolates and then we went to the concession-like area and got funnel cakes and an order of funnel fries with a large lemonade. Best Salt Water Taffy I've ever had. You will find other taffy in a slightly larger serving size but it has nothing on this! Soft, chewy and great flavors that don't taste like artificial flavor. Other items are slightly overpriced but the taffy is well worth the $9.99/lb. I'm bringing 2lbs back to the office! Staff wasn't rude when I customized my mix and we very carful to make sure I had the mix I wanted. read more

The food we got was really soggy with grease, they gave us 7 funnel cake fries with our order that costs almost 5 dollars, we got an ice cream for our 1 year old and us to share and when we asked for a small cup so we could split it between us they wouldn't give us an extra cup. Don't go here unless you want poor quality, low quantity, bad service, and high prices. read more

My family has been visiting Patsy's my whole life. Every time we are in town we have to swing by for a treat. I love the caramel corn. My kids love the taffy (I like the cinnamon because it has a kick), and my father likes the cracked corn (whatever that is). A trip to Manitou isn't complete without a stop at Patsy's. The lemonade was terrible and the funnel cake was okay at best. They have a nice selection of items, but for the prices, it doesn't look like we made the best choice by stopping there. $6 for a tiny "large" lemonade that tasted like lemon water was a disappointment. read more

I ordered a single scoop as did my husband; mine was just barely the proper size and my husband's was a "kiddie" scoop size. Then, adding insult to injury, the total cost was...wait for it...you're going to be shocked, because I KNOW you won't be able to guess...$9.21!!! This is the first review I'm posting about Patsy's and my last visit. We used to purchase stocking stuffer items at the holidays, but I will never patronize this business again. I'll be following up with another review on Trip Advisor (must warn the tourists), a call to the owners of Patsy's, and even the Better Business Bureau to protest this level of price gauging. Unbelievable! For those of you who live here in the Springs you know what an insult this is, and for those of you visiting, walk across the street to Pikes Peak Chocolate Ice Cream (they have other flavors!), and enjoy some really delicious ice cream. Terrible burgers. Paid $61 for five burgers, fries, two drinks and a smoothie. Burgers were made out of the microwave kind it seemed like. Fries were frozen, store bought, smoothie was $5.95 and was liquid, in one of the small solo cups. Just a terrible experience. This is the first bad review I have given anyone. I made a special trip to Patsy's for salt water taffy. Waited in line to buy a $12 bag (1 pound) of taffy. Was handed a pre-packaged mix of taffy with NOT ONE edible piece. Every single piece of taffy was rock hard and couldn't begin to be eaten. read more
