I had already heard good things about goldpro so I knew I wanted it to be the last place, just in case I wanted to go elsewhere. What an amazing experience. He not only didn't walk away with my jewelry (which no one should ever do), he showed me all the cool ways he tests gold. I just got a good vibe here. Bottom line, he offered more than 2 of them and just above the 3rd. Even if he matched all of them, I would've sold my gold here. if you are thinking of bringing an xbox or electronics here, DONT. this guy is a total scammer. He told me my xbox would cost anywhere from $120-260 which was a giant red flag to start. After I dropped it off I asked for him to call me with a price before he fixed it. He never called and told me and fixed it anyways trying to charge the max (for a small fix). When he said it was ready I came to pick it up and he didn't know which one was mine and then told me he didn't know where it was. I went to this location in hopes of selling an old wedding ring set. I was met with a locked door, even though online it says they are open 24 hours a day. There was a post it to call, I called and a man asked me several questions about my rings...only when I said I was interesting in selling, not just an estimate he said he would be right over. So the store is not open 24 hours. You have to first call his cell phone number, and than make an appointment for a future time (at least one hour). Second, this is a scam operation. I questioned the legitimacy of this place after a friend said their old broken 18kt gold chain worth $379 by market price of gold was worth $50. So I set up a test. I brought a variety of gold peices for which I knew the exact weight, karat content, and dollar value based on the current gold price. Three VERY reputable jewlers performed an analysis of the gold. There was a small difference between the three companies, but the amount of money I would have walked out of the store with was between $542.91 and $594.77. This guy gave me $140, And made it appear that he was being generous. It has been over 48 hours, and I have not been notified that there was any error. Needless to say I will be alerting the city, county, and state investigators of his practices. Plain and simple, the man is ripping customers off on a GIANT scale, and I have the documentation to prove it. The owner has now started harassing me, trying to get me to remove this review using thinly veiled threats. This has all occurred on a line that is recorded. As I explained to the owner, when you have the documentation and evidence that I do, the threats of suing me for defamation are pointless. read more
