The scenery along the lake is beautiful and on many holes you are greeted with a view of the lake. The course is good but not so hard it makes it too difficult. I was really impressed with the staff in the proshop as well as the cafe in the club house. If you get a large soft drink they refill it for the day at no charge so you can get a refill at the turn then again as you finish. On a 95 degree day like it was for us today the free refills was very much appreciated. Overall this is a great course and one of the very best public courses in the state.

Then around hole 5, the same worker was HIDING IN THE WOODS on a golf cart, watching us. Only the people who paid to golf, golfed. We followed every rule and were made to feel like absolute criminals. I almost went inside after we finished to ask them what we did wrong, but decided not to. I would have liked the trout, but it's not Rainbow or other white flaky varieties. It's Steelhead, which pink and dense like salmon, so I settled on the paradelle with wild boar ragu. The worst part of this course is the smell but for anyone who's been around moccasin bend you know that's just an inevitable evil with the water treatment plant nearby. I'll always suggest this course to my friends who are maybe new to the area or new to the game, never been disappointed
