It's very remote, but worth the drive. The restaurant is built and decorated in a lodge style. We had a table directly in front of the fireplace. Our server was excellent. She knew the menu well, memorized everyone's order, and checked on us continually throughout the meal. They had a very good (and pricey) wine list. I had a Riesling, but it was ordered for us, so I don't know the specifics. The menu is a bit limited. I started with a Hal Caesar salad. It was just the right amount of salad and dressing, and was very good. For dinner, I wanted the scallops, but not with caviar that it comes with. I would have liked the trout, but it's not Rainbow or other white flaky varieties. It's Steelhead, which pink and dense like salmon, so I settled on the paradelle with wild boar ragu. It was tasty in a brown, but spicy, sauce. The meat was tender, and the noodles were excellent. They tasted homemade. We finished by sharing their desserts. I particularly enjoyed the cheesecake.

When I said I did not yet want a membership, they threatened to sue me and said they are going to add all their fees plus interest and to foreclose on my property, and they barred me from reselling it. Upon entering the building next the the Pro Shop the hostess greeted us and sat us near a window seat. The views are spectacular from this hilltop view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ben was our server and handed us menus that were extremely simple and easy to follow. Ben went over the specials for food and drinks and within 15 minutes our food was served. We both ordered brunch foods I had the pancakes, eggs and bacon while my wife enjoyed eggs Benedict. All foods were tasty and delicious with one exception was that the eggs Benedict were slightly over cooked and yolk lacked fluidity. However, the lady at the table next to us ordered the same meal and hers came out perfect. Without complaining we assumed that the delicious smoked bacon on my plate may have taken extra time and my wife's egg yolks may have sat and cooked firm while my bacon took extra minutes. Not a problem, still satisfied with flavor!! The staff and location deserves 5 Stars and two thumbs up for extraordinary service and hospitality. We are looking forward to going back and will make a reservation to make sure we get allowed inside by the security gatekeepers Kevin and Mr. Tennessee.

The scenery along the lake is beautiful and on many holes you are greeted with a view of the lake. The course is good but not so hard it makes it too difficult. I was really impressed with the staff in the proshop as well as the cafe in the club house. If you get a large soft drink they refill it for the day at no charge so you can get a refill at the turn then again as you finish. On a 95 degree day like it was for us today the free refills was very much appreciated. Overall this is a great course and one of the very best public courses in the state.

The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. Overall, we'd most certainly visit here again the next time we're looking for a hike along the beautiful falls nearby!

The teetime reservation system is the worst I've ever seen. It is online only and open only a couple times per year. The customer service is even worse than that! I made a $40 reservation on a teetime for a week ago when it was raining, so I called the clubhouse to see about a rain check. I called four times and never got a hold of anyone in the pro shop, and never received a callback from anyone either. I emailed the pro shop as well and again had no response to my email either. So, I'm out $40 now and never even got to change my teetime. I will say it is very disappointing to have this type of customer service from any business. We will not be going back.
