I purchased a left handed club in error (go ahead and laugh now) from another used Sporting goods store for my right handed golfing son as a surprise gift. SURPRiSE ha!! and took it in to Golf Galaxy to see about a trade before my son got home from college and saw my grand purchase. Bill Painter listened to my story without hysterical laughing, took a look at 'ole lefty and gave me a fair value for the club. He then proceeded to take the time to show me all of the options available in the club that I wanted in the used section and options in new as well. He explained how to determine what type of club I was looking at, what the numbers meant, basic info. on the difference between flex and regular shaft, etc. all without making me feel like an imbecile (ignoring the fact that I did just bring in a left handed club for a right handed golfer Ha!) I left Golf Galaxy tonight with an awesome RIGHT handed club for my son and the basic knowledge to attempt to go Rogue and buy another golf club one day without a golfer present. Hats off to Bill and the guys at Golf Galaxy for saving my pride and helping me fix what could have been a very costly mistake. Go check them out!! read more

Please do not shop here. I bought T100s (April 2022) and were using them throughout the summer/fall since I've relocated and can't play in the winter anymore :/ The clubs started to fall apart early in the spring here and I went to a club repair shop to be told EVERY single iron is counterfeit. Save your $900, do the research and don't fall victim like me and get clowned at this golf galaxy location. I'm worried other locations are doing the same. I have all the paperwork/receipts from my in-store purchase and since i don't have a rewards membership; there is nothing they can do. Great location and knowledgeable staff. I just purchased my 3rd set of irons from this store! Each time, I have been fortunate to work with smart, knowledgeable and friendly staff. This time, Ted was the one who helped me. He was patient with me as I wanted to sample several different irons including forged versus cast and graphite versus steel shafts. I started with shelves that were graphite and to light which was resulting in me hooking the ball. By the end of my session, Ted had figured out exactly which regular steel shaft that I needed and I was striping the ball right down the middle with a slight draw. I ordered the new Mizuno 921 Hot Metal irons and could not be happier. P.S. Ted wore his face covering the whole time I was there which made me feel comfortable trying out irons during this crazy time. read more

The employees have always been pretty helpful here. My son likes to try his clubs out on the simulator before we purchase them. They have always been accommodating for this. We wanted to order him a new set of Ping clubs. The was fitted for them. They have re-gripped our clubs on multiple occasions and have replaced several shafts. They always make recommendations but ultimately give us what we decide we want. My son's driver broke and they worked hard to get it replaced under warranty. This store is always my first stop when we need something even though it's not the closest- it's worth the drive. read more

Unfortunately, customer service, especially Manager at Pineville location, David, made promises that he couldn't keep, costing me $500 and months of time. Prices aren't that good anyway. I had a driver fitting at the store today and had a great experience. Dr. Phil worked with me for about 30 minutes to help me find the best club for my swing. I'm usually very nervous in the simulator but he was good at keeping the conversation going to keep me at ease. I recommend taking your old driver with you. If you can't beat your old club with the new one don't buy it. My new driver "Epic" beat my old driver "Cobra F7" by 20 yards. read more

I wouldn't trust club repair here. I brought new shaft to switch into my driver....they stripped the set screw, melted the ferrule, and installed the shaft incorrectly. They said they would correct their mistakes and order a new ferrule and screw....then never called me back. If you care about your clubs, take them over to Curtis at Leathermans. He's a master and focuses on quality. You're welcome. read more

Went to this location yesterday to get fitted for some new irons. I was excited as this was a big investment and I was eager to learn how the process worked. After walking around the irons section for 30 minutes with no store personnel approaching, I finally approached an older employee and told him what I was looking to do. His response was "get in line". I almost walked out, but really didn't want to waste my day looking for another golf shop when I was standing in one. After waiting in line at the simulator for another 45 minutes while fathers let their kids hit balls with no intention of making a purchase I was finally allowed to begin. The young gentleman that helped me out was rather helpful and got me in a set of clubs that I will hopefully love once I receive them. During checkout I had a $50 off coupon for purchases over $250. When I pulled this coupon out the older employee appeared out of nowhere to quickly let me know that it was no good. I then pulled up the Golf Galaxy website which had a $100 off coupon for big purchases such as this and he said that was no good either. Just a warning, avoid the tall gray haired man that works in club repair and don't plan on ANY GG issued coupons to be honored. I bought the clubs, but that guy soured the whole experience. read more

New to golf, went there looking for clubs. Tall guy with an arm brace came over and after telling him we were looking for a beginner set he basically said he couldn't help me. When we asked what his recommendations were he said "Try the other golf galaxy across town". That employee is the exact type of person that turns new people away from a sport like golf. I was excited to get fitted for a new set of clubs, and after two visits I made a decision. ALL details were discussed at the time of the fitting, all information was entered and the clubs were ordered. The sales rep told me two weeks. I was eagerly waiting one week....two weeks....three weeks, and nothing. No clubs, no calls....silence. So I called them and was told the club maker was back ordered. I get it, it happens. What I don't get it is the zero customer service from golf galaxy. How you can tell someone two weeks and let almost a month go by without a courtesy call or an update is infuriating. Anyway, I was told I had to wait two more weeks. Fast forward to yesterday...two weeks later and I have to call them again as it was once again radio silence on there end. I was told they had shipped and would be in the store within three days, lol and behold three hours later they call me and magically they are in the store. Now here is where you would think happiness. Nope. Wrong grips on the clubs. The manager proceeds to tell me I was wrong and I didn't know what I was talking about, even though I told him the driver and three wood I bought from them at the same time had the correct grips on them. Yes that's what I wanted different grips on my irons and woods. The manager then says he will put the right grips on them for free...i just have to pay for the grips. So not free? Free? I'm confused. I was sold clubs the way I wanted them, they had the clubs made they wanted and then wanted to charge me more for free grips that were supposed to already be on there. The manager is a jerk. He sat there placating me in front of other customers, refused to express sympathy for me having to wait so long and refused to make anything right...except to charge me more for free grips. On a side note while I was waiting at the front counter for my clubs at the beginning of this two workers were busy joking with each other and the third picked up the phone and hung it right back up. I'd say maybe try a different store for your golfing needs. If you must go to this store I hope everything is better for you, maybe get everything in writing and double check everything before you leave! read more

The wife was looking for lefty clubs for a Xmas present for me and Golf Galaxy had exactly what I was looking for. First time there and Dave the GM was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Callaway x2hot steel as 100.00 less then anywhere else, including online. They have a great selection of anything and everything for golf. Prices are unbeatable. I make my own clubs and have enjoyed doing it for the last 30 years. This way I can custom fit them to my swing. I buy a lot of club making accessories like grips and shafts from this Galaxy store and have enjoyed it's convenience to my location. Today I took one of my irons into this store to have the loft adjusted - one thing I can't do. The first clerk immediately snickered "Oh, this is a knockoff - I'm not sure I can adjust it." He handed it to a second clerk who was just walking in and asked him to adjust it. The second clerk announced again "this is a knockoff club" - other customers stand around. Then he asked me if the shaft (a True Temper SL) was also a knockoff. I replied "no it's a True Temper." He to said "I'm not sure I can adjust it because it's a knockoff, but I'll try." I mean, how rude and insulting to a customer could these two guys be? I requested that he hand the club back to me and I left the store. They need to place a sign on the front door saying that if you make your own clubs, you are not welcome here. I will be looking for a friendlier golf store after this experience. read more
