There is a lot to like about this golf course. It has a…read moremountain course feel as there are a lot of ups and downs with elevated tee boxes and greens. The course is well maintained in every way. The tee boxes are all in excellent condition and well marked. The fairways are wide open and generous. There are a few that are narrow and you'll be punished for being OB. Quite a few greenside bunkers and some scattered fairway bunkers. There is some water with a couple of holes where there is a creek crossing as well as a couple of holes where there is water along the fairway but none that will impede your shot. The greens are all immaculate and roll well. They will challenge even the best golfer. I found the check-in easy and the overall staff was professional and friendly. The Starter was great with a sense of humor and some good info on bathroom location and holes to watch for when you're a first time player. The electric carts were all clean and in great repair. There was a beverage cart making regular rounds on the front and back. They have a great driving range with an elevated tee box that has a dramatic feel and easy to follow your ball flight. The bar/grill was very nice though I didn't order anything. I really liked the shady back porch with lots of tables and chairs making great viewing as players roll off 9 & 18. My favorite holes is #16, a 144 yard par 3 with a pond on the left and one green side bunker to the right. Just a great overall golf experience that I would highly recommend

If your website is wrong, then you should give the benefit of the doubt to your customer and let them have that price. Completely unprofessional and just bad business to do what they did here. I even showed the pro shop the email and booking confirmation I received. Imagine booking an air bnb for a certain price online and then when you show up they bump up the price by $100. You're already there and committed, so they know you aren't just gonna leave. Shame on them.

This course is #3 on the B-Man's guide to the top 10 Charlotte area golf courses. It's a good course but a #3 seems overrated to me. Understanding it's February so granted, not ideal conditions. Still a problem when you have more than half an entire green surface under repair. You get only one Par 3 on the front and two on the back. The fairways are wide open and forgiving. The tee boxes all in good repair. You get the computerized electric golf carts. The check-in and Staff was smooth and everyone was nice. The bar/restaurant experience was good. As a Senior golfer, you get considerable tee advantage on most all of the holes. There is water but it doesn't come into play. They had patrolling Ranger maintaining pace of play. It is literally right adjacent to the Speedway. On several holes, you can see the Grandstands. I think you want to avoid this place on race day.

I found none of that to be true. I guess it's all relative right? Water does come into play on #8 which is a 115 yard par 3 over water. The balance of the water they refer to are either ponds that run alongside the fairway or creeks you may encounter that cross the fairway. Overall this is a very nice course and plays very well. The Fairways and Greens are in great shape for the most part. On hole #16 there is a strip of new sod that runs all the way across the green. For the most part the tee boxes were all green and in good shape. There were a few that were bare with little grass. It's very scenic and quiet, lots of wildlife and the fairways are wide open with strategic bunkers on most holes. It was 10/8/20 and the high was 85 but it was sunny and a nice breeze and just a perfect day for golf in the Carolinas! They have 2 driving ranges and a practice putting green. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was $35 bucks to ride 18 for the Senior rate which is a great value for a course of this caliber. The carts are electric and all in good repair. They won't let you take the cart into the parking lot so it's best to drop your bag and then park. I would highly recommend this course.

By the time we got to # 6 there was 4 different groups on the same hole. When we finished 9 we went into the club house and asked if we could play the same 9 again. The lady working was nice enough to allow us to do that. 3 holes into the back 9 and now there are 3 different groups on the same hole. Several of the fairways were in bad shape. They will not have to worry about wasting my money on their course again. Whoever is responsible for running that course should be fired and replaced by someone that knows how a golf course should be run. To run a course in this manner tells you it's nothing more than a money grab and they could care less about you having a good experience. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the greens are in pretty good shape.

Course was designed in the '70s, and most of the buildings and Clubhouse are from that decade. Course gets a lot of usage probably because of it accessibility it's right on the edge of Salisbury. Also has quite a varied amount of golfers. I mean, the young guns come here from high school, the after work get-together guys, walkers, fitness golfers, and just below average and practice golfers. Can get very crowded even during the week. Weekends are totally ludicrous. This can get rough because the holes are so close that they make for a long nine-hole or eighteen outing. Blue and white tees are very close. I used to recommend the blue over the white because of less usage. I think that ship is sailed now. The white tees have less usage. Good greens and always a good pro-shop friendly staff in the shop. Always has a steady pace of people here, especially when the weather is good. It's a good tip if it's cloudy and not raining, but it looks like rain. These are pretty fair weather golfers here. So if you don't mind a little moisture, that's when to come here when the weather is not so perfect. Has a group of regulars that have a mini tournament every morning. Usually, they tee off by 10:30 a.m. Unfortunately, a lot of foursomes tend to come here and can make for a rough day if they don't let you pass through. Sometimes, you may have to golf around and come back to holes. To avoid them. I have seen them sometimes in the clubhouse settling up their score. I think they play anywhere from$1 to $5 a hole the way they go at it. You would think it was the Masters. They usually get gone by the hottest time of the day which 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. I believe this course is hard to play late because they want the golf carts in by 7:30 p.m. However if you start at 4:00 it's pretty easy to finish if you go at a steady pace 18. Friday's is their busiest day during the week of the summer. That changes a little when school starts back. I definitely know it's easy to do nine in about an hour and 35 minutes. Will definitely need at least 2 hours to do 18 holes of golf. A good, no frills golf course.
