I FINALLY stepped into Golf Galaxy and I'm so happy I did. The selection of clubs is fantastic and I was able to have a new grip added to a used club I purchased within minutes! I bought a new pair of TaylorMade irons two years ago from the store. I went in today to look at a new Driver and Fairway wood. I spent 25 minutes in the store and not one employee asked me if I needed any help! I will go elsewhere. read more

Stopped in to see about buying a new set of clubs that were manufactured in this millennium to replace the antiques I was playing with. Ended up investing in whole new set due to the excellent service I received from everyone at this store. From the time I entered and the cashier asked me if he could help to the impromptu fitting I received within minutes I could not ask for a better shopping experience. I went back two weeks later and bought a driver to complete my new set along with a 10 pack of PGA Pro lessons with Matt which he was also happy to accommodate me almost immediately. Disappointed. My son and I traveled up to Golf Galaxy from southern Missouri to get fitted for a new driver and 3 wood. However the gentleman, Dan, basically said we should come back at a later date when the new 2022 clubs arrived. Honestly, I knew what brand I wanted, Callaway, and said I wouldn't be interested in the new clubs due to price but he wasn't listening. He wouldn't fit me. I drove 2+ hours and he wanted me to come back another time. Really? I have 2 gears, quiet frustration and loud angry rage. I went with quiet frustration and simply won't be coming back. read more

A golf store that has anything you could ever need! They even have a wide selection of used clubs that included left handed clubs which are hard to come by. I came in to have a driver re-shafted and was not sure if the stiffness I needed on the new shaft. Associate Joseph was very helpful and put me on a simulator to analyze my swing and let me hit several different shafts and recommended one based on the results. Would recommend to anyone needing any golf equipment! read more

Have been a fan of this location since it was a GolfSmith for several years. The format is the same with a different logo on the wall. After doing some research, I found out that GolfSmith was purchased by Dick's Sporting Goods who already owned Golf Galaxy. After purchasing GolfSmith, Dick's turned this into a Golf Galaxy. There are always good deals here as well as good clearance options. One of my favorite things about this location is the previously owned/lightly used clubs. This is a nice part of town surrounded by several nice golf courses. There are always good pre-owned clubs here that are still very high quality. They have 5 or 6 tees in the back of the store you can use to "try before you buy" as well. I've bought a pre-owned set here as well as 5 - 6 pre-owned clubs in the past at a heavily discounted rate. Secondly, I've been impressed with their service options. I had a set of clubs re-gripped here for $3/club - a really good price. Cheap grips run $6-$10 + $3/club - I was in and out and only spent about $75 bucks for the service. Will continue to frequent this location most notably for their pre-owned clubs and tryout facility in the back. A great option in south Johnson County. read more

My husband and sons just left this store with a terrible experience. They were not assisted or asked if they needed help when several associates were available. Once my husband asked for help, he was abruptly pointed in a direction, told the item was out of stock, and not offered any other options. My son has an interest in golf and we are not golfers. We chose this store for their expertise. We found a product at Scheels that same day that was also in stock at the Golf Galaxy in the same city. The other store associate answered questions, gave advice on what was needed, and treated them with respect. read more

Had a really bad experience at Golf Galaxy this past weekend. REALLY difficult to find anyone to help us. When we did finally get some attention from Dan, it was extremely condescending and not helpful. Seemed that he was not interested in helping us, as we were not in the custom club fitting market. Kind of bizarre as they are Dick's Sporting Goods 2.0, and not where I would go if I was a serious golfer. I liked it a lot better back in the Golfsmith days. I go to this store because the guy who regriped my clubs is great. He is always helpful and efficient. That is the only redeeming quality of this store. When I walked in today, the men's clothing section was enlarged into the area that had been women's attire. The remaining women's section is now pushed back into the far corner. They have one of their BOGO%50 sales but I couldn't find any shorts for women Included in the sale. We left with our re-gripped clubs but we passed on clothing for me or my husband. read more

Great service everyone is super nice. Came in for a warranty repair they did everything for me got it fixed for free. When PING didn't give me the right shaft on my repair they upgraded my shaft for free with one of their demos instead of me having to wait 2 weeks for my driver back they fixed it in a day. I was just going in there and I wanted to test out the new Callaway driver and the new Taylormade sim but the assholes in there tried to make me pay to rent out a simulator which I thought because these are new clubs they might cost money to hit for some reason. THEN I go to the used club area to maybe buy a used driver because mine is pretty old. Then after hitting for about ten minutes this old slim guy with glasses tells me I have to pay to hit. I don't understand how am I supposed to buy a club if I can't test it. Trying to get me to pay, does anyone know that I basically already paid because I've spent like 3 thousand dollars there. Absolutely ridiculous. Then he tries to be a smart ass asking for his $20 because I didn't pay and I told him I wasn't giving him shit. Then he says name one place that lets you hit balls and test clubs for free. I told him EDWIN WATTS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. Then he told me go there instead. Then I said I actually will because you don't know how to sell a club. Now I'm taking my business elsewhere and was actually treated like a king at Edwin Watts. Brought my driver and 5 iron in for a simple repair with putting new ferrules on and lining up with golf pride logo up as the clubs had become twisted. After flagging down associate walking around to help assist me at the repair counter, he was rude and short to start. Made it seem like a huge inconvenience for me even asking him. Then after explicitly showing and stating what needed fixed and how I would like the logo of the grip facing up he said okay and it would be done later that day and they would call. No call. I had to call the next day and then when I went to pick it up they put the grips on upside down and on top of that, it was slightly off center to where the club face sat square. Not coming back here for any repairs again that's for sure. read more
