Charlie got together plenty of demo clubs that met my needs after our discussion and put me in the driving booth to determine which clubs worked best for my swing. He had great recommendations and didn't try to upsell me. They had plenty of selection and their prices were comparable to PGA superstore and Edwin Watts. A solid spot to get your golf gear if you need it immediately. They have a decent selection of golf balls, clubs, bags, and clothing. It's the perfect spot to try out putters because they have a sizable putting green towards the back of the store. You can even use their putting mirror to check how you're hitting the ball. There are also individual bays behind the putting green where you can practice your swing with different clubs. The tour shop can upgrade your current clubs if desired. If you're eyeing something online and don't want to buy before you try, Golf Galaxy will likely have the item for you to "try." I didn't see many sales when I went, so if you aren't in dire need of any golfing essentials, I would stick to purchasing elsewhere online to save a few bucks. read more

I just went in there to look. I've never been in any of the Golf Galaxies. I was impressed with what I saw. Prices are competitive, but not the cheapest. I found what I was looking for, and the cashier was nice and friendly, and I went on my way. No complaints here. read more

I went in to buy a new set of irons. A man named Ken was first to ask me if I needed any help. Told him I was open for help and he offered to let me hit a ton of balls in the electronic bay with 4 different brands of irons. After a few rounds of seeing what I was comfortable with, he showed me the statistics of each one of my shots with each club. Totally blown away by how awesome this guy is and the help and a few tips he provided me. I purchased a new set of Taylor Mades and I'm eagerly waiting to use them next round of golf. This was my first visit there and I definitely will be back and highly recommend this store especially Ken if you need some help! read more

I was shopping for women's golf shoes and all the Ecco shoes had a red sale sticker on them. I go in this store all the time and thought the sale sticker didn't seem right. Sure enough, the sale sticker was $199 and the original price was $179 ! I took a pair to the manager and told him it was just not right that they make them look like their on sale, but have actually upped the price! Each pair had the red sale sticker over the original cost .. not by mistake. The manager didn't seem to . Came back today and saw they are marking their shoes the same way .. SHAME on them ! Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else, that has good customer service, because this place doesn't know what that is. Been in there 3 times, and not once did anyone ask if I needed help. The first time I took my family to see what the place was all about. Looked pretty cool, with everything you need to play Golf. Second time my middle son, saved up his money to buy a good Putter, still not a person ask if we needed help. We purchased a $120 Putter, and some Ball Markers, on our own. Third time, my son worked all summer to buy a set of really good Golf Clubs. He's on his high school golf team, and wanted a better set then what he had. Along with a new pair of shoes. He had $1000 to spend. We walk in and nothing. We went to the Shoes first, tried on several pairs, with no help. Went to the used clubs, looked at several, even took a couple clubs, and went to try them out, at the back of the store. Still not one person asked if we needed anything. After spending almost an hour there, they were closing, and I told my son we need to go look elsewhere and to save his money. We went to Edwin Watts 6 days later and spent $1028 on a set of Callaway Clubs, and a pair of shoes. We were greeted within 2 min of entering and spent almost an hour there, with a very nice employee. What's even worse, is I emailed Golf Galaxy twice, on their website, where there is a spot for Customer Feedback, I left my email address AND phone number and over a week later and still have not heard a peep from Golf Galaxy. No problem, I'll continue to go in there, use your clubs to try out, and then go elsewhere to buy. Thanks Golf Galaxy! read more

I recently bought a driver and they told me that I qualified for a free putter fitting so I booked it. I was assured multiple times that it was free cause I didn't want to drive 45 min for nothing. Upon arrival they were 20 min late and demanded 40$ for a putter fitting I was told multiple times was free!!!! I explained what I was told and they didn't even here me oh. They had two cashiers, one guy in the repair center, and one guy at the demo range..four people in a store this size. Asked Santa for set of Winn grips. He brought oversize and I use standard. No problem with previous Golfsmith here so drove 70 miles one way to EXCHANGE to standard size with are listed about $3.00 less in my size. Clerk was rude and uncaring and said if no receipt I could not prove they were bought in this store! Really? Not looking for money back, just exchange. Grips are on their website for $9.50. Still in individual wrapping and he said he could give me $2.00. No thanks. Went to Mac Wylie Golf Center on way home and they exchanged no questions asked!
