Yesterday was our first time at Golf Galaxy. Our son Ethan booked some time on the simulator through Youth on Course and everything went so smoothly. I'm a dad of two and recently decided to get back into golfing. I'm also introducing my son to the sport, which has been a lot of fun. We visited your store and while I love your selection of putter grips as well as golf equipment and clothing, I think the customer service could use some improvement. I get that many of the employees are young, but I didn't see anyone for a good five minutes. When I finally spotted someone, he looked away immediately. Another five minutes passed, and still no one around. It seems like most employees are stationed at the cash registers or the grip section in the back, leaving the aisles unattended. I don't expect car salesmanship at a golf store, but a simple acknowledgment of a customer's presence and a quick introduction would go a long way. Wow, I cannot say enough about how great Cameron's customer service was in helping my boyfriend with fitting his own bag and making sure he had the correct length clubs as well as going above and beyond with helping my boyfriend pick out the perfect match when it came to choosing grips. Cameron allowed my boyfriend to check out all the samples and took his time explaining the pros and cons of each. I would highly recommend asking for Cameron for any of your golf needs. I set this store as my store since it is the closest to my city. I ordered a custom made club and shaft from them on January 19, 2025. After placing my online order I received the notification it was received and shipment could be expected by Feb. 7 to 11. That date came and went one month ago. This company does not appear to be able to keep up with orders for golf clubs as this is the 3rd time I have had to wait an excessively long time for an order. As of this writing on March 8, 2025, my order is still in "Preparing" status. I don't believe it should take this long to fulfill an order. Very poor service indeed. read more

It is convenient having a fully stocked, full-service golf store in the area after Golfsmith closed up its shop in Ontario. Golf Galaxy is owned by the same company as Dick's Sporting Goods across the street. Their biggest competition is Roger Dunn Golf Shops (owned by Worldwide Golf), which you can find about ten miles away in Rancho Cucamonga. I was in the market for a new driver, so I dropped by for a fitting. The technician was a young man who had been fitting clubs for only about a year, but he was capable of answering questions, providing different equipment and components, operating the swing lab, and offering knowledgeable advice. The fitting was $70. You get a write-up of your data and a sales pitch. If you choose to buy within 30 days, your $70 will go towards your purchase. My four-star rating is based on the overall store. The customer service is good, but the store itself is large and unfriendly. There's not the variety of merchandise that I've seen in other golf shops. In comparison, the Roger Dunn Superstore in Tustin is bigger, but the store itself feels friendlier. Likewise, the Roger Dunn store in Rancho Cucamonga is smaller but friendlier. Wow, just had some club work done by Ed and what a nice guy he is!! I needed to swap out the shaft on my driver, get a new grip on my driver shaft, have a new shaft put in my 5 wood, a new grip on my 3 wood and a small repair of the ferrule on my 8 iron. I think I kind of confused him at first when I had all my crap laid out on the counter, lol. But Ed was super kind and was able to take care of all my needs on the spot!! The service was so great that I ended up spending another $165.00 on some shoes. It's people like Ed who create brand loyalty to a store and because he wants to make people keep coming back. The staff had everything ready for me so I wouldn't have to wait and they could close. We called Alec to make sure they had the correct product. We got there and Oliver rang us up. Single star, this place is possibly the worst golf store I have ever walked into. Inventory is lacking. Customer service is weak with no regard to the customer. At least 6 associates on the floor only one was with a customer and 2 went to the back to hide when I saw customers looking for someone to help then. I will never spend a dime at this store. Please note that I'm writing a review for Golf Galaxy in general not particularly for this store. Purchased brand new Ping G425 Ladies Utility from them. Package arrived in 2 days which was great. (shipped from Santa Fe Springs, CA must be their warehouse) The club was missing factory plastic/wrapping entirely. Not even bubble wrapped, box filled with brown kraft paper. Club Head has visible scratches all over and same as the shaft too. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THEY SENT ME USED - DEMO CLUB FOR FULL NEW PRICE PURCHASE. Called the customer service and they gave me 2 options. 1 for 20% discount and 2 return & put a new order. 20% discount not worth for me. Called in to pick up a new driver, they confirmed they had it over the phone, and held it for me at the front until I came down later in the day. Very nice team overall, simulation bays are really nice, and the young guy who helped me even adjusted the driver multiple times as I was testing it. Been loyal to this store for years. Balls, gloves, grips. Just bought all new TM SIM combo iron set, a SIM fairway wood and 3 wedges in the last 6 months. Usually great service by knowledgeable folks. Roll in there today to see if I can trade my M2 driver and a hybrid in and purchase a SIM2 driver. 1) They don't have a stiff 10.5 degree in the Max. Huh? 2) I ask to hit some balls with the 9.0 SIM Max and the 10.5 SIM, since they basically don't have the one I'd probably prefer. They then tell me I can't use the launch monitor. Wait, what? $529 driver and I can't tell where it's going? Nope. "It's our new policy. Only for club fitting". You just lost a customer. Pro V1's, gloves, grips, clubs. Nope. Not going back. Went here on a recommendation from a friend to get my clubs re-gripped. Called ahead of time and was told it would be a few hours to get done. Arrived at the location and made my way to the back. The gentleman that was working that day did me a solid and was able to start on my clubs ASAP! I was in and out if there within 30 minutes. I'm sure this isn't a normal occurrence but I was extremely grateful and appreciative. This location has everything you need when it comes to golf. I was looking to get a pair of shoes for an upcoming tournament. I was in the shoe corral for over 30 minutes and not one employee came up to greet me or asked if I needed any help. An associate ignores me while talking to another customer. Didn't even stop to say, "I will page someone to assist you". It doesn't stop there. Came in to look at fairway woods told the associate I d like to hit a couple different clubs in a 5 wood, led me to a bay with some ping g425's and left hit a few balls, found the associate again and asked if they could turn the sim on( if I'm going to buy a new club I wanna compare shot shape distance etc...) told me they only turn the sim on for fittting, which I would of been more than happy to be fitted but he didn't even suggest it. I came here with my sisters to find a gift for my dad for Christmas and we were approached by one of the workers asking if we're finding everything alright. We looked at him with despair and asked, "What does my dad want for Christmas?!" We don't know golf and the guy kind of helped us answer that question by pointing us to the most expensive GPS toys they had to offer. We left with some nice golf shoes we found on our own, shirt, pants and a hat. I think the staff are great if you walk in with technical questions or knowing what you want, but didn't feel like they went out of their way. They also didn't look busy at the counter. I went here for a fitting for a new driver. Scheduled a few days in advance and it said the fitting cost ($99.99) is included when you buy a driver. Had a great experience, My fitting was with Logan. He showed me all the new models and then we looked at a few used clubs. Logan was welcoming, friendly, and dialed in a setup that I'm very happy with. The girl behind the counter (Molly I think that is her name) was very helpful and removed the stickers from my new club and was very nice. Overall 5 stars. You are lucky to locate a staff member let alone one that's willing or wanting to assist. The manager encounter was just as bad. Took a set of clubs into get regripped upon getting my clubs saw they were loosely thrown in a bag. After inspecting them found a good size nick on my 5 and 9 iron. All clubs heads were covered in solvent and the shafts were as well. No care was taken to clean them and tape is showing on all wedges. No pride in their work read more

I will never come here again. I was totally racially profiled. I went in with my Arkansas t-shirt, and basketball shorts. I have tattoos and braids by the way. A short guy was nice and was helping me pick a a good sim Max 3 wood and 4 hybrid. In the middle of me hitting and talking to him to figure out which would be good this bald head guy with tattoos walk up and pulls the guy away that's helping me to go help somebody as if my money wasn't good enough and as if I wasn't going to buy anything. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. I just walked out with 3 pair of shoes and 2 golf shirts. He then asked after he saw me spend well over $500 if I wanted to look at any golf clubs. I went here to get a fitting with my father and brother and they did not disappoint. John and Tyler were especially helpful in not only going in to detail of the various possibilities of clubs that would work best but also in paying extra attention on customizing them for us, pricing and staying within the budget. I have never had such a great experience at a Golf score and owe to them both for how much work they put in. My father is still talking about the experience days later. We were there until closing and will need to go back for some final touches. This will be my store forever and I can't wait to go back. There selection is vast and their pricing is competitive. This store provides the absolute worst customer service. I've been to this location probably 4 times and no one offers help. I think the poor service is reflected from poor managment. Ashley is the manager and she needs to get her act together. She is not helpful and gives the feeling that she doesn't want to be there. I had a coupon which was not going through the system. She kept saying, "I don't know what's going on. It's not letting me take the discount." I insisted that the coupon works online and that I decided to come in store to support the brick and mortar. After ten minutes of going back and forth with her, she finally gave me the discount by doing an override on the register. She did not seem pleased for giving me a discount. I received no response once the transaction was complete and I left the store. This will be the last time I step foot into this store until management gets their act together. read more
