I also had a $30 REI gift card that I wanted to apply toward the shoe purchase. When checking out, cashier Lloyd told me, "You don't need the card, I got it." I assumed he could see and apply the gift card through my account. However, he never applied the $30 gift card and instead processed the transaction so that I only received a refund of $0.08 from the jacket return. When I questioned this and told him I wanted the gift card applied to the shoes, he said the transaction had already been processed then he suggested that I use the gift card next week when REI has a sale. This solution is unacceptable. I live about 20 miles from the store and do not want to make another special trip because of a cashier's mistake. I would appreciate REI's assistance in resolving this issue and honoring the $30 gift card toward the purchase I made today. The employees on the floor were fine, 90% of them friendly.

I came with my partner after spending the day at the outlets near Palm Springs. We arrived pretty close to closing, and even then, it was such an amazing experience. I finally got the Bass Pro hats I've been dreaming about, and honestly, this is one of the coolest stores I've ever been in. They literally have everything for the outdoors; fishing, camping, road trips, hiking... if you need it, they probably have it. They even sell boats! There was a shooting range, archery equipment, grills, snacks, a restaurant, sweets, and so much more. I could have spent hours exploring. And the prices?! An absolute STEAL!! I was shocked seeing hats for $5.99 and $9.99. How?! We also grabbed their BBQ chips, and they were chef's kiss. The employees were very friendly. The cashier who helped us was incredibly kind. She did spend quite a while helping the customer in front of us, and my partner and I were joking that it looked like love at first sight between them. It made for a funny moment while we waited. One important heads-up: Apple Pay is currently not working. When we visited on July 3, 2026, the cashier told us it might not be fixed for a few months. If you usually rely on Apple Pay, I'd recommend calling ahead or bringing a physical credit or debit card just in case. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to come back. It is on the expensive side when it comes to all the pricing but the quality is definitely all there and for the most part worth it. It's worth stopping by if ever in the area.

For majority of us, it was our first time, and overall, we had an amazing experience, some more than others. One of the referees stood out in particular -- the skater with blonde hair and a great vibe. He clearly loves his job and is extremely knowledgeable about guns and gear. He was very engaged with every player, explaining game modes thoroughly and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. His professionalism and enthusiasm set the tone for the day. Later, a different referee rotated in. I didn't catch his name, but he was a darker-skinned male. Compared to the first referee, he seemed less enthusiastic. At one point, one of my friends was denied entry because he wasn't wearing gloves. After being scanned in, he quickly went back to grab his gloves, but when he returned, the gate had already been locked. He asked another staff member at the chrono station for help, who radioed the referee in the field. The response over the radio was dismissive and unprofessional ("F*** him, he can wait after"), and the game proceeded without allowing my friend back in. This situation left my friend upset, but thankfully, the front receptionist -- the gentleman with the mustache -- handled the matter professionally and apologized on behalf of the staff. We also visited the store and had questions about certain items. When we compared prices with Evike's website, we noticed discrepancies. When we asked about price matching, the staff told us, "We don't price match." This was disappointing, as it seemed unusual for Evike not to match its own website. Ultimately, we decided not to purchase in-store and instead ordered online. On a more positive note, we ordered food during our visit and were very impressed. The service and food were excellent -- the woman behind the bar was incredibly helpful and friendly. I ordered chicken tenders and fries, and both the portion size and taste exceeded expectations. Definitely a highlight of the day. At the end of the day, we noticed an issue with our barcodes: half of our group still had time left while the other half did not. Once again, the receptionist with the mustache stepped in and extended our time so we could finish together as a group.
