Since I had such a positive experience with Justin Nowell from the last time I was here, I took a shot in the dark and texted him with no expectations for him to answer me. After all, I hadn't made any contact with him for 2 years and he must have countless clients that he's interacted since then. To my surprise, he messaged me back within the hour and laid out the days he'd be available to help me. When I arrived at the store after an agreed upon time, I was met with the same positive vibes I had years ago. It was like Justin and I were old friends and we hadn't missed a beat. Justin is a very genuine, friendly, and helpful individual. While waiting for my club shaft adapter to be changed and dried, we had a very nice honest conversation about life and golf. I believe what separates Justin from the rest is his ability to connect with people. When you're able to connect with people like Justin does, you lay the foundation to great friendships and future business transactions at the same time. I didn't feel like any typical large chain golf store where everything is very cut and dry. Kudos to Justin, he deserves the credit and reputation he has earned. I can proudly say that I will be going to Club Champion in Livingston for any future fittings and services because of how well I've been treated there.

Was greeted soon after I walked in and was offered assistance...let them know I was just looking around for a putter. The sales rep mentioned the days they perform putter fittings. The one thing I do like, they offer the price of the fitting will be deducted from the price of a putter if you buy one after the fitting...which is a plus! This store was It appeared to be clean, fully stocked, and have a friendly staff. Spent an hour testing out several different brands and models of putters in the putter section, their green area isn't large but was able to test out several different putters. Another employee came over and asked if I needed any assistance, much better customer service compared to the previous GG store I visited.

I ordered a putter fitting here, the staff rep was Dustin. He was knowledgeable and helpful to focus in on the a few putter options that was tailored to my putting style. This store has everything you need for your golf game; from a wide selection of clubs, bags, balls, learning tools, and apparel. The new season apparel can be a bit pricey, however they always have discount sales which provides great value. Lastly, I appreciate the fact they instruct in the "Saturdays at the Superstore" session.

As the East Hanover location and their pros seem stable, it now seems, unlike several years ago, that there should not be any significant changes or issues on Golftec's part that may violate your commitment and understanding of the contract that you enter!

The fitting went great, the clubs came on time but they were right handed clubs and I am a left…read morehanded golfer. The receipt clearly stated left handed. They offered me no credits and was able to return the clubs and give a refund. In the process of getting a refund, instead of refunding me they charged my credit card AGAIN. The person I was working with was initially unresponsive when I told him of his mistake and they have been very slow moving to help resolve. I bought the clubs from the the golf warehouse based off my custom fit specifications and they told me the manufacturer (Taylor Made) could not make my exact fit left handed so I had to make a minor change to the fit. I will never be going back to Golf Tec and do not recommend using them because of their horrible customer service and lack of transparency with the golf club manufacturers they work with.

I've spent Easters, Christmases, 4th of July parties (complete with fireworks!), father-daughter dances, and many more holidays and events end events here. I attended the summer camp, where we got instructions in arts and crafts, tennis, swimming, golf, and a lovely canned female provided upstairs. The memories created by the staff -- whether in the restaurant or out in the sports areas -- created memories that I will cherish forever. The community is also wonderful, and if you join, you'll make many friendships that will last a lifetime. Even so, we managed to try a wide variety of wines, generous pours, no limits. Terrific! Off we went inside for dinner, and my 'retro' wedge salad was somewhat modified and updated. The complimentary olive, celery stalk, radish, and sliced cucumber tray was pure 'retro'! I followed with swordfish which was tasty. Around the table were two veal chops and a petite filet. The two veal chops were both said to be the best anyone has ever had, and the petite filet was really good, according to my girlfriend. One thing-these are steakhouse prices, the 10oz filet was $47-and like a steakhouse, everything is ala carte-sides are extra. We had lyonnaise potatoes and they were tasty, hot, and salty. I've been coming to this range every night between 9-10pm for the last month with no issue for my night practice. (They usually turn the lights off between 9:55-10:00 so I always make sure I'm done by then). Today, I showed up at 9:25 to hit a few balls before closing. The older gentleman informed me that tonight (8/10/24), which just so happens to be a Saturday night, the driving range closed at 9pm, and ball machines were off already. He was really rude about it acting like they do this every night when that is not the case. Thankfully a kind gentleman overheard the conversation and was wrapping up and donated me the rest of his balls so I was still able to hit. I also saw the man turn down multiple other customers coming in. However, the older gentleman still proceeded to hover over me the entire time, walking up and down the aisle and stalking my every move as well as the other 2 people there. This was definitely a very uncomfortable experience. I will no longer be attending this driving range at night, and I suggest you avoid it too.

(This was a few months ago so the details could be a bit iffy.)…read more This was a very impromptu trip and everything at Edge of the Woods makes doing that easy. Head to the website, book the date & time you want and you're done. www.watergapadventure.com/river-trips A few things worth noting: They offer multiple trip lengths. The standard 4-, 6- and 10-mile trip (Smithfield to Portland) are all booked generically and then when you get there you tell them what you want to do. All pricing is the same which believe me compared to others companies, that's very different - in a good way. They do offer two other longer trips but those require calls to the main office I assume to assess river conditions; your own competency and shuttle availability. The main office in Delaware Water Gap is very easy to find and there was plenty of parking on a quiet post-Labor Day Monday. You check in, you're handed a laminated map, life jacket and given a brief route explanation and then you're off in the van. One problem arose and it was kind of a PIA but it was worked around. Most companies have different types/sizes/models of kayaks and quite often, will ask you what you prefer. Not here. When we left the office, the guy driving didn't say a word to me until we get to Smithfield Beach to unload. He had a few kayaks pre-loaded in the carrier but definitely did not look at them before we left. One of them had a broken foot pedal that he said couldn't be used, another was very much designed for a smaller individual (i.e. if you're taller and/or taller & larger it ain't happening safely) which only left two tandem models. Using a tandem as a single individual is not the end of the world but especially when the seats are still left in the two person configuration (i.e. one front and one back versus the rear one being placed more towards the middle), it's a PIA to maneuver the craft and you are paddling harder to get the job done compared to a single. The scenery along the route was decent. You could see a bit of the Shawnee Resort and Golf Course, an old stone bridge abutment in the middle of the river, under and along 80 and then when you get into the Water Gap itself with the high cliff sides. Very picturesque. Once you go under the old train viaduct in Portland, you give the office a call for the shuttle to meet you at the out point which is at the Portland Pedestrian Bridge. The whole experience was about four hours door to door to cover the ten miles on the water plus the shuttle to & from the pick up and drop off points. Lots of nice scenery, due to the low water level there wasn't much in the way of current except for the area around viaduqt in Portland and even that wasn't bad. I'm not a big fan of the equipment here but I wouldn't let that deter me from coming back in the future for one of their northern longer trips.
