When we went to pick it up the following day, Terry was super friendly and knowledgeable. He even checked the air pressure on the ball to get it all ready to go! We got our carts ( which has GPS and electronic scoring) and were allowed to Practice at the driving range before our tee time got called. We were very slow but never felt rushed. The staff came up to us and asked if someone could go ahead we had no problem with that. Again the staff were very friendly. We ate at the pro shop after. The food wasn't the greatest and they didn't have very many healthy/vegetarian options but again it was a good way to end our evening as the sun went down I will be back and I would recommend this golf course. The fairways are fairly narrow so if you have a hook or slice to your swing your going to be hunting for your ball a lot. The greens are extremely fast. Just tap your ball and it goes flying. The exception to this is on hole 9 and18 where it's the exact opposite. Your going to have to change up your putting for those 2. One of the well kept secrets of this course is that they usually have some free golf balls on the driving range you can just hit and warm up on before your tee time. The one thing I dislike about this place is their gps controlled golf carts. They force you to drive on the cart path all the time and if you get just a little bit off where they want you to go they completely lock up and only allow you to go in reverse. The gps screens in the carts do give a distance to the green and an electronic scorecard which is nice, but you get annoying messages about slowing down on the next hill and ads pop up all the time. All in all a very good and challenging course.

A…read morevery walkable course that insists on requiring a cart rental on the weekends to "Speed Up Play" The truth is most people who are not confined to a wheelchair could walk this course in 4.5 hours or less! Their policy of requiring a cart on weekends is a blatant mandatory up sale bundles in a so called free bucket of golf balls. In total we were each charged just shy of $90 to play at best an AVERAGE golf course! I'll give you a for instance . . . Drive 45 minutes south east to Ryley and you can play an outstanding course built by the Pudicombe Group on the weekend for $56 including unlimited FREE range balls, AND you have the option to walk. To add insult to injury the the staff at Lewis Estates (with exception of the head marshal) were dismissive when questioned about the need for a cart. Needless to say I and my golfing buddies will not be returning to play Lewis Estates anytime soon, NO WHERE CLOSE TO BEING WORTH A $90 round of golf. . . So many better courses available for less money! ! !

But I'm always interested in looking at the gear. Golf is a million, rather a billion dollar industry and I can understand why! My last visit to Golf Town made me stand still in my shoes! I couldn't believe the price of golf shoes! However, like anything in life, you get what you pay for and seeing how I don't golf on a regular basis I didn't feel I could justify the price of the shoes. The selection of golf clubs, club sets, carts, balls, etc. was quite extensive and comparable to other large golf supply shops. It's kind of cute to see the junior and child clubs. The service was good. I was greeted when I walked in but wasn't pounced on in each of the sections. I was asked if I needed help but not hovered over. That, I like. There was a steady stream of people coming in with their clubs for tune ups and servicing which makes total sense seeing how the weather is somewhat cooperative and golf season is in full swing.

I walked by this location the other day and there was a sign advertising a sale. When I went inside there was a sign with extra 40% and this was on the lowest price. I found some quality items for a reasonable price including $3.82 for 6 pairs of socks. They also offer an extra 20% for first responders and military was is a great recognition. The change rooms were comfortable and they have smart technology where it knows what items you have on the hangers. One can request another size without leaving the change room. They also have a cool machine to customize masks if you buy one in store. Not only were the prices good, service was great too. I would definitely be back to shop here!
