The service was quick as well and gave us waters without asking. Not always the case in a bar. The food is not amazing but it is great for the value. It's not the 5 star Michelin fare but u definitely get your moneys worth and more. Would recommend and come back again.

From the moment I walked in, I regretted every life decision that led me to this door. The service? Non-existent. I think the servers were actively avoiding eye contact so they wouldn't have to do their job. It took 25 minutes just to get water, and by the time my food arrived, I had aged emotionally. The food? I've had better meals at gas stations at 3 AM. My "grilled" chicken tasted boiled, microwaved, then dropped on the floor for texture. The fries were cold, soggy, and somehow still burnt. Even the ketchup tasted tired. The atmosphere? If you enjoy sticky tables, flickering lights, and a soundtrack of loud people arguing over who hates the place more, then you'll feel at home. I couldn't even focus on my meal because I was too distracted by wondering if the ceiling was going to collapse. To top it all off, the bill looked like they accidentally charged me for the entire restaurant's rent this month. Save your money, your stomach, and your sanity. This place should be avoided at all costs.

Hubby & I were out shopping on Christmas Eve for some last minute gifts and groceries. We were…read moreclose to downtown Markham and the idea of Draco came up. Initially we were going for the idea of breakfast, but timing was a bit off from what we anticipated and it was a really nice lunch date instead. I love the Markham Marriott, the staff is always warm and welcoming. Draco has a very sleek, sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. We both ordered Bacon & Cheddar burgers. I opted for a Caesar salad as an appetizer and hubby ordered their Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak. Let's start with the apps. The Caesar salad was SO good! I wish I had taken a pic, but admittedly, my phone was tucked away and I was caught up in the cozy seating, great food and Christmas vibes of the restaurant and lobby. Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak: $33 - Buttercup Squash Puree and Truffle Oil - Everything you want Wagyu to be - tender, cooked to the perfect temp which left a nice warm red centre. This was melt in your mouth good! The burgers - these were perfection! Draco Bacon Cheddar Burger: $25 - Aged Cheddar with Crispy Bacon Strips; Crispy Onion Straws, Arugula and Garlic Aioli. This was a very well seasoned patty, so juicy and a substantial sized patty of fresh not frozen beef. The bun was lightly toasted, bacon crispy, easily taking this into my top 3 fav spots for burgers! Options for sides include fries, sweet potato fries, poutine, side Caesar or garden salad or truffle fries. We finished off our meal with 2 really good cappuccinos and just took our time before heading home. This was our first time back here in a few years. The food was exceptional as was the service and the warm staff. Draco is the perfect spot for an early morning breakfast, work or lunch date or a nice cozy dinner. They also have Christmas & New Years dinners and brunches. Relax in the restaurant with drinks or in the adjacent lounge, this is a great spot to unwind with some great food and drinks.

I had chicken and waffles my daughter had steak and eggs. The steak was seasoned to perfection, my waffles were crispy and so was my chicken. I wanted lactose milk he heated it up for me which was a nice touch. Would recommend Drako 100%

Over the last few years, The Duchess of Markham has been a reliable spot for a good Irish Pub!…read more I can always count on them for a good time with friends while watching a soccer or hockey game while enjoying classic Irish pub fare! The Bangers and Mash is a classic representation as it hits home with the blend between perfectly grilled sausage with mashed potatoes and onion gravy! The Guiness Lamb Stew is also perfect for the winter as the lamb is nicely cooked with the root vegetables and does enjoy well with a slice of bread!

Location: Main Street Markham…read more Parking: There's some on street parking, but good luck with that. Half a block away there's a huge free lot! Decor: Send an old Tudor looking building. The inside looks like a pub. A pub that hasn't been decorated since the 1980s. I know it can't be the original carpet but it hasn't been replaced in a while. There is a nice big bar some seating around it and then the dining area is separated by half wall. It's a smaller space but comfortable. There's tables. They set it up in twos and fours. There is a fireplace and it's nice and cozy to sit by there on a cold day. What's kind of cool is when the kegs come in, the building is really old so the floor shakes is the kegs roll in. The food: Typical pub fair. It's good. I wouldn't call it generously portioned but a proper serving. Lunch time there is always a chicken wing special. They're pretty good. I do like the fish and chips. Staff: Everyone's always nice. I don't know if they have a lot of stuff or if they just go through stuff but they're always seems to be different people every time I go. I don't know how they manage hire all the really nice people but they do! Will I be back? Of course I will I come all the time
