Firstly what a cool place! First time coming to an indoor golf range. I wanted to golf today but…read morebeing from California, 39 degrees is even too much for me. So I found this indoor golf place less than a mile and a half away from my dad's place. It was nice, clean cozy and the staff friendly! I had a chance to meet the owner named Gary and he gave me the walk through. I decided to on his recommendation to play Bethpage since I am in the East Coast right! The bay is bigger than most indoor simulators which is really nice and the layout and comfort is top notch. The indoor temp was perfect as well! I played my round in less than an hour and shot a 93!!!!! I settled down toward the end but it was too late lol! 51 front and 42 back...I could have easily shot in the 80s. I almost wanted to play another round. My driver was wayyyy off today! The owner's father said it was A tough course, so I will take it! What can I say, I loved it! I can see myself coming here regularly during winter once I move back and what a convenience that it is close to home! Price is right and it was nice to see a bunch of regulars. It had a family kind of feel to it and that earns my business. So if you are 12 handicap golfer like myself (I blew it today), scratch golfer or just a hack, I urge you to take your swing down to Go Low Golf! I love finding cool places like this, that are truly gems!

I've been a weekend hacker for approximately 15 years of playing golf. My decision to start taking…read morelessons is largely due to COVID and not being able to snowboard (my main sport) for the year. I purchased a full package of lessons/fitting for a full year (25 lessons) My coach is Chris Sweet and he is an excellent coach. For the first two months, my swing was deconstructed into different parts and he does a great job of not overloading you with adjustments to make. During this time, my swing fell apart but it makes sense - especially if you understand the plateau of latent potential. From my initial swing evaluation to only 8 lessons and 10 weeks later, I've gained about 35 yards of carry distance on my 7 iron (130 yards to 165 yards) adding a nice draw into my shot shape and I haven't even gotten a club fitting yet. I think this speaks volumes about the quality of instruction I received with Chris. If you're familiar with learning something new and improving at it as quickly as possible, you'll know it takes commitment/practice on your part. They have a plethora of resources available to become a student of the game and continue learning even while you're not striking balls. Additionally, you can review past lessons and refer to them if something stops working with your swing which was critically important for me.

I paid for my classes which included being fitted for clubs yet I was never afforded the latter. I…read moresent multiple emails to arrange for the fitting and never received a response. Also the instruction I received seemed to be more confusing than helpful. Since I've completed classes there I've spent a lot of time reviewing YouTube videos and reading books and I realized my issue was my hands. If you're not holding the club correctly you will never get your form correct especially on the back swing. Once I figured this out, my swing improved dramatically. But this is something they should have been stressed at GolfTEC. I felt as though the instructor was disconnected insofar as training and was just "mailing it in." I'm not saying it was worthless because that would not be fair - there were some good pointers that I picked up there but I felt there should have been more emphasis on basic concepts that may have made a huge difference for me. Are they friendly? Absolutely. They were never rude. They were always genuinely friendly. My recommendation is read as much as you can in advance and watch as many videos as you can before you go there because I doubt if you will receive any strong technical explanation (no handouts were given at all just some scribble on a board in the room). It isn't worth it in my opinion. I honestly believe that , with a little training, I could explain more than I received: when you are not good at something and then figure things out you can readily share those pitfalls with others.

From the moment you book your bay online to the second you step into your hitting station, everything is smooth and well organized. I really appreciate how easy it is to reserve a spot, especially on weekday mornings when prices are more affordable and the space feels calm and relaxed. The views of the Hudson River make it a unique experience. There's something very satisfying about practicing your swing while watching boats go by in the background. The automated ball system keeps things flowing without interruption, and every detail feels designed to enhance your game without distractions. What really makes the difference, though, is the atmosphere. Whether I go solo to clear my mind or bring friends along for a more social outing, I always end up having a great time. The food and drinks are surprisingly good, and having them delivered right to your bay is such a convenient touch. I also love that the booths have heating, which makes this a great place to visit any time of year. Overall, this is one of those spots I keep coming back to. If you're looking for a place to unwind, improve your swing, or simply enjoy the views, I can't recommend Chelsea Piers Golf Club enough.

Place would thrive under new management. There was an incident where a senior ranking African American male berated two younger African American women for not doing their jobs in front of the customers. They just laughed at him. This place is a one and done experience or something executives of companies pay top dollar to have a company event at. This place is not for actual golfers. Not coming back unless there is a complete change in management and business model. Worse than top golf by a long shot. The selection for the combo of being a woman and left handed was really tough. The employees kept rushing around and generally not giving me insight I wanted or the service other customers were getting. The demo bay was extremely chaotic and the staff was not helpful. I get it they were busy but still could have taken some time to follow up after just shoving random clubs at me to try then acting surprised when I had comments about it or requested something else. An instructor teaching a child lesson in the bay next to mine assumed I didnt know how to play golf and kept coming over to watch my swing. I interacted with a few different employees because they kept briefly helping me and running off. Maybe it would be better on a different day but Im not sure if I'll be it back. Eventually I got the attention of someone, told them I had an 18 year old set of Ping irons, said I was interested in new clubs, and asked about the single length irons. He set me up with the Cobra single length 7 iron, which was the only brand they carried in single length clubs. He pointed towards the simulator and said try them out. I hit some shots and wanted to try something else, but he was gone, helping out another customer. I tried to catch his eye, but he looked away and continued his conversation with the customer. I stood around at the desk for about another 4-5 minutes, then got the feeling I wasn't going to be helped any more, so I left. The next day I went to Golf Galaxy across Rte 17. Immediately, upon entering the store a young man approached me and asked if he could help. He said he would get somebody to help me after I explained why I was there. Within 20 seconds someone approached me, introduced themselves, made me feel welcomed, and ushered me to the back of the store. What a difference! Don't bother with PGA Superstore!
