I was a bit skeptical based on some of the reviews that I read but am very happy with the work Gomez Landscaping did; keeping in mind that I am a very critical, analytical person. My neighbor actually got the two quotes (this one being the better quote by about $300) as we were splitting the cost. We had flooding in the shared space between our houses and on the other side of the fences in our backyards (that are next to each other). Misael came out and completed a thorough review and provided a plan and quote on the spot (with formal documents following the next day). We quickly made our decision and moved forward. The very next day we paid the 50% deposit and scheduled the work (about 2 weeks out). The team arrived on time and immediately began work. They worked VERY hard - as our "soil" is basically rock and debris from Pulte when they built the house. They had to do quite a bit of pickaxing to get through enough to lay the pipe. The drain boxes look professional. The black rock is clean and aesthetically pleasing (especially when wet - so pretty). I am excited to see the boxes and drain in action when it rains next. I am already planning the next project and will be reaching out once I am ready to discuss. read more

Misael Gomez - 512-696-6128 Did a spring clean up in both my front and back yard. Cleaned out flower beds, laid down weed barrier and brought in black mulch. Trimmed Crepes, weeded, and raked up tons of leaves that were over two inches deep. They worked very hard and I was very pleased with their services. I will definitely use them again. If you are looking for a landscaping service, I would advise looking elsewhere. We used Gomez for a while and they could not provide an accurate list of all their visits and charges. They show up randomly, send bills whenever they wanted and demand payment for services we can't tell and they can't show they provided. Overcharged us somewhere between $100-$500 but who can tell with their lack of regularity. read more

Worst landscaping company ever with terrible service and not to mention sending an invoice that is 2 years old claiming that the service was done back in 2019 and I had to pay for it. When asked to provide record of the service, they said they've already deleted emails and don't have track of it. Are customers just expected to pay for whatever invoice that comes through without questioning? Don't waste your time and money with them. read more

Their yard crews are average to a little below average. Generally they would do an OK job but sometimes they'd chop down bushes/herbs they shouldn't have and should have known better. Unfortunately they're not any better when it comes to the back office. Their billing was erratic, and 15 months after we canceled their service we got -- out of the blue -- an invoice from them they said was unpaid (from 15 months ago)! When I complained they agreed to drop the charge but instead referred us to a collections agency. Incredibly annoying to say the least. read more

I have been happy with the work they do until recently. They would always do a good job on the lawn and they were quick. That said, after the freezes this year they did some pruning of dead shrubs and bushes, but left more than half untouched. I had to cut everything else back myself. I'm constantly having to rake the mulch out of lawn that they carelessly blow out of the flower beds. Minor, but still annoying. Now to the reason I gave them this rating. Their back office is horrible. Constantly making billing mistakes. I have never found a small business with such poor accounting practices. They also won't stand behind the arrangements they make. Their owner set me up with my service. All of the people below constantly complain about it. They really don't know how to treat customers. It's a shame since they do good work. read more

Tried to charge me $800 for trimming about 6-7 large shrubs at my house. Their regular yard service was hit or miss as well. Sloppy work, missed areas when mowing leaving little grass mo-hawks throughout the yard, over trimming of rose bushes. When I called to try and work out the price, the owner decided my business was not worth him coming down on his bid enough to make it make sense. Ended up paying $500 for some bushes to be trimmed. I hired them to clean up my backyard and then to continue on as a monthly service for lawn moving services. As part of my cleanup- I asked them to apply weed control for my lawn. When they came back for monthly lawn moving service, I asked them to apply weed control again- because whatever they did the first time around, did not work. They told me they were going to have to charge me $80 to apply weed control a second time around. This was upsetting because initially they told me that I would only need to get this service once a year, but then the story changed to two times a year. And when I questioned him on why that would be the case- he changed it to "Actually you have to get weed control three times a year". Which is it? Misael then said he would apply weed control for free the second time around.. but when I asked them when they would come around to do it- no one ever got back to me. They also never trimmed any of my bushes and left most of them unattended to. Pretty much a waste of my $90/month as they did not even accomplish half of the services they promised. read more

I just wanted to update at how HAPPY I am with Gomez Landscaping! I have been using them since 2006 when I moved here. They have such great prices and it seems that anything I ask they can do. Mowing, trimming, edging, weeding my beds and even fixing my sprinkler system! I definitely highly recommend them! read more

I hired Gomez Landscaping to perform biweekly maintenance of my lawn. I advised Mr. Gomez that we had two dogs who have access to our yard when we are not home, and that we therefore needed to have a predictable lawn mowing schedule so that I could be sure to be home when his crew came to keep the dogs inside and let them out when the crew was done. We agreed on a schedule of every other Friday. Two Fridays ago was a scheduled mowing day. No one showed up. I gave them the full day to show up, then called on Saturday morning to see what had happened. The office could not tell me why my lawn had been skipped, but assured me that the lawn would be mowed on Saturday. I waited as long as I could on Saturday, but then had to leave and I let my dogs have access to the yard as is normal. (One of the dogs is elderly and frequently needs to go outside.) The crew did come on Saturday and mowed. Last Friday was another scheduled mowing day. No one showed up. The crew showed up on Saturday, unannounced. This was bad enough, but then they also left the gate to our yard wide open, which allowed my elderly dog to escape. She could have died because of their negligence. Fortunately, she is fine, but this was absolutely the last straw. I don't ask much of a lawn service - show up when scheduled or call if rescheduling is needed, trim the lawn, and close the gate when done. The only part of the Gomez Landscaping service that was satisfactory was the actual trimming of the lawn. Everything else was highly unsatisfactory. read more

I was using Gomez Landscaping & they've been VERY INCONSISTENT WITH WHEN THEY COME!!!! I said day a week is good- whatever day works best for you, problem is he never would show up!! Then all of the sudden he completely stopped showing!! Now it's been about 5-6 week!! my beautiful gardens look like a jungle!! My grass is SO OVER GROWN!!! Well, on my way to an appt. After reading all the Yelp reviews and considering my own experiences with Gomez Landscaping, here are my thoughts: Keep in mind that this is a Small Business; I believe Mr. Gomez generates all the estimates himself, therefore, he is extremely busy ( I think if he hired help with the estimate process it would enable him to give a better (and vital) first-time impression). I CAN tell that Mr. Gomez sincerely wants to give a great first-time impression! Roberto is good at what he does and is fair, but he (himself) needs help... Nester (my crew lead) came with a swarm of young hard-working men. They were light-hearted as they worked and performed it with efficiency and great care. All-in-all, the work done was absolutely wonderful. I understand the lack of accuracy in their scheduling and average accounting practices. However, they do want to do the right thing and they want to give professional and outstanding service. I can see this in the final outcome of this, my first-time project with them. Kindly remember that this Small Business shows that it IS trying really hard to give outstanding customer service and has the obvious ability to produce very fine and accurate project results. Nester's crew worked VERY hard and were very organized and sensitive to my needs and desires. Please be a bit more patient and you will be happy with your results... They indeed try hard to be as efficient and professional as possible. Yet coordinating 7 crews is, indeed, a tremendous responsibility for Roberto to have them all function with great accuracy and excellent timing. I give them a big thumbs up!!! read more

Called and left a vm. Never called. How can you run a business that's ONLY based on word of mouth and this website and conduct yourselves this way? Roberto and his team did a fall-spring cleanup of my yard a few weeks ago. I called Roberto, not having met him previously, and he came in minutes to meet with me. His advice was really great. His assessment of what my yard needed was very accurate and his demeanor was very professional. His workers are very skilled and hard working. The yard looks better than I have ever seen it. I don't use this company my neighbor does. I have now twice witnessed the crew use a leaf blower to push leaves onto my property. They make no attempt to cleanup the mess they leave in my yard which includes blowing bits of trash into it as well. Very unprofessional. Use a rake!! I called the manager and he apologized. An apology didn't rectify the problem. His crew was still present while I made him aware of the problem and they didn't bother to clean their mess. I don't expect them to clean my yard bc I do have leaves in it, but I also don't expect them to use my property to push off my neighbors junk. read more

Gomez Landscaping is very good at chopping down everything with eyes closed, but for any unexpected growth around the fence or the edge of the pool, they let them grow. After using them a few times, I started to have trees growing along the fence line, and along the edge of the pool. They are very good at rough jobs, but very bad at details. Although they are very good at mowing down a football field, (and who isn't?) manicured landscaping is definitely not their cup of tea. read more

Gomez has been servicing my lawn for over 5 years now. As with any lawn service, the crews change, communication issues are inevitable, and routine services are missed. Fortunately a simple call easily resolves the issue. My dog and free range chickens have never escaped as the crews are diligent about closing the gate. During bad weather days, I received an email notice communicating my Friday routine service has been delayed and will follow up with a new date. When I need quotes, I get them the day after or during the week depending on the season. Kudos to Mr. Gomez and his crew for the great customer service! read more

Waited 10 days for them to give me an estimate which never came. It was a wonderful waste of my time.

Mr. Gomez charged me $75 to meet me at my house to hear what I needed in a landscape project. He listened well and offered some insights, took some pictures and said he would provide a proposal 2 business days later. After a week, I called and asked where the proposal was, and I got one the next day. The proposal was labeled an "estimate" and it contained a list of materials and pricing (no pictures, no designs, no layouts, no warranty, no terms and conditions, etc). Gomez wanted 50% downpayment before committing to the project, which seemed crazy high, and he wanted it in cash or check. In any event, he started the job without a down payment, and there was very little coordination with me on time that they would start. They worked from mid-morning until 8pm on a Friday and finished up in a couple of hours on Saturday. For $2,742, I got 8 yards of mulch, 3 yards of compost, 5 areas with brand new plants, and a really nice clean up job of my existing landscaping, including trimming and mowing. They did a really nice job, left everything clean and even ran through all my sprinkler zones to make sure I had good coverage. I would hire them again. read more

I contacted the company on March 1st requesting 3 separate quotes for 3 different jobs I needed done. The email I received back was, "I hope you are doing well. Mr. Gomez normally does estimates during a period of time over the week (11am-2pm) What day works best for you? " It was set up for March 7th. I rescheduled some appointments so that I would be home the entire time. No one ever showed. I emailed the company at 2:15 to let them know of my disappointment, that someone could have called if they needed to cancel or were running late, and that I would be contacting another company who would be more reliable. The secretary called me shortly afterwards offering some excuse. I told her it didn't matter, that I would be using someone else. Then Mr. Gomez called and offered to come the next morning. I told him I would not take additional time off work and then offered to come later the same day (March 1st), but I had scheduled appointments and said I would not use them any way because I could not rely on them. read more
